House News:
**_Phyle Websites:
_**Well, last week I placed my own life on the line, saying that the Phyle sites would be finished...sadly it looks like they're not. Apologies yet again and I can only hope JaM3z will get them done soon - I'm gonna have a word with his school and tell them how important he is - see if they'll let him slack off, if not they'll get a sabre to the throat, that generally works!
_ Quick update - I just spoke to JaM3z as I wrote this and the sites will be out today!!! He's off school so it'll be up later today! WOOT!_
GJW Activity:
We REALLY have to pick this up again. i'm still lacking submissions and the submission date is creeping in on us. Tetrarch Anshar Kahn has provided me witha comprehensive and detailed list of whta the members of his Phyle are doing. I'd ask Zizor to provide me with the same information or alternatively ask each individual member to e-mail me directly and tell me what you are doing. Remember we have the Open events to do as well.
Tarkins Clan report was very true the other day, sure we excelled in Phase 1 but Phase 2 is gonna take a lot more, Taldryan and Satal Keto are really lifting their game, so we must also respond. My brethren we are so very close...let us not allow such a huge victory to slip free from our grasp.
Dark Brotherhood News:
**_Grand Master Report:
_**1) I haven't received any new complaints regarding bad behavior of Dark Brotherhood members. Keep it this way!
2) Last year I modified the position of Emissary to be essentially the voice and the mentor of the Clans. Former Grand Master Jac Ae-Sequiera Cotelin was instrumental in the changes to the position and in fact it was practically tailor made for his great talents. Unfortunately, after a short time in the position, he had to leave the Dark Brotherhood due to serious RL issues.However, now he is back to full activity and it is with great pride that I re-appoint him to the position! Among his duties, he will be tasked with a general survey of the Clans in order to determine which of them are having difficulties and how he can help. The broad lines are already known to us, but he will be able to devote all his time to these problems. Congratulations!
3) Not too long ago, the various SGCOMs of the EH were asked to help in the creation of an EH encyclopedia. The idea being to have a central repository of knowledge about all the areas of the EH and it's most famous people. In the near future, the Clans will be contacted by my Praetor, Sith Warrior Shadowhawk, in an effort to determine how they can help and how much they want to do. Obviously, those DB members who have been around the longest are encouraged to participate in this. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks!

**_Head Master Report:
**_1) Shadow Academy Site**_
_**The new site has been an absolutely instrumental tool for the entirety of the Shadow Academy's course-related success, especially in the recent past. Lost courses are very rarely an issue anymore. A few updates are hopefully en route from our lovely Seneschal, inclduing:
A comment system, so Course Teachers can add their personal notes to graded exams.
An upload system, so that completed Phase Two exams can be fired into the database. This idea may also be utilized for the College of Lore, if possible.
A few more databasing issues, such as having the list of people with access to the database effect change on the staff list, etc.
I think everyone owes CyberGuy some huge thanks for all his work in the past few months... express some gratitude when you bump into him on IRC, etc. ;)
2) Shadow Academy Staff
We unforunately lost SW MacDougall from the position of Sith Tactics Course Teacher. My Praetor, Pyralis, will be dealing with them for the interim. However, applications for the position will be accepted. The requirements are the same as always - dedication, willingness to learn and expand, quick email turnaround, yada yada yada. If you think you've got the stuff, email myself and Pyralis.
College of Lore administrator Trevarus Caerick has begun work on the overall ways in which the College will function. Any suggestions are welcomed, as always. Hopefully, Trev will have a semi-finalized plan to me in the near future, so we can get this show on the road.
Other members of the staff may be replaced in the near future - stay tuned.
3) New Projects
Pyralis and I are toying with some new ideas for the Shadow Academy. Once the College of Lore lifts off, and we've had an opportunity to evaluate its success, we will unleash the next big thing on the Brotherhood. This is how education was meant to be, folks - lively and fresh. ;)
4) The Envoys
I am going to be speaking to Firefox and Mairin regarding the situation here. Hopefully, this system will get some final approval, and we can take it to the next level.

I have added a PDF version of the Custom Lightsaber Creation Guide to the HRLD site. This will help anyone who wants to create a custom lightsaber but cannot be online to look at the guide.

On behalf of Clan Arcona and as a representitive of the Dark Brotherhood, I would like to recommend Krath Archpriest Korbane Ashoka for a Ruby Sceptre.
The Dark Brotherhood owes Korbane a substantial reward for his previous and continual efforts to publish the Dark Voice. Korbane has taken on a task, that no one has ever wanted to do before, and he has done it both consistently and with a high degree of excellence.
To the effect of Clan Arcona, Korbane has always been an encouraging figure. He has most assuredly helped to form House Qel-Droma into the tightly knit house it is. Despite his lack of position, Korbane nonetheless manages to be a leader and a figure of inspiration for everyone in his house and clan.
AED JaM3z of House Qel-Droma had this to say about Korbane:
Korbane is a true pillar of HQD. I cannot rembember a moment in which he was not active in all my time in HQD. He always was and is determined to improve the house and the clan, and being Rollmaster the past few weeks, he has done a tremendous job. I think this award not only commends both
his loyalty and service to his clan, but also his duties for the Dark Voice.
A Sapphire Blade is awarded for long-term service in a particular area. However, a Ruby Sceptre is awarded for Leadership and/or Innovation in a particular area. Personally I think Korbane has achieved more of the latter, with his unrivaled dedication to the Dark Voice and his superlative devotion to House Qel-Droma and Clan Arcona.
I hope you all share my appreciation for what Korbane has accomplished, and I hope you decide to award him the medal that he has rightfully earned. Thank you.
Based on this recommendation, the Grand Master, Deputy Grand Mistress, and Chancellor all agree that Krath Archpriest Korbane Ashoka is due this fine award for his dedication to the Dark Voice, his Clan, his House, and his Battle Team. I could not have chosen a finer person to take over the publication of the Dark Voice, and it makes me proud to bestow this award unto Korbane for all of his truly hard work. Congratulations!
