• Headmaster Result:

Alright, it's been a weird last little while, but life seems to be back on track. So, without further ado, my little announcements:

1) The Combat Academy is henceforth officially closed. A complete lack of interest doomed this pretty much from the outset, but my staff tried to the best of their ability. I encourage everyone who has been involved with the Combat Academy so far to continue assisting others with multiplayer skills, but it won't be with the Shadow Academy any longer.

2) Due to these circumstances, M:HM1 Dagger will be leaving his position. The position of M:HM1 will now be the College of Lore administrator. Getting the College of Lore off the ground in this position will be Pontifex Trevarus Caerick.

3) The College of Lore will be accepting applications for Deans of the various sections once Trev and I have determined how many staff members we want, and how many sections we need.

4) The long-lost project to bring the Envoys under the Shadow Academy hasn't been forgotten entirely. I will be going into discussions with Firefox, Mairin, and CyberGuy about how to make the appropriate transitions possible, so that this can get rolling. For those who are aware of the Wing system in the Bounty Hunter's Guild, the Envoys will be serving a similiar function to Wardens.

5) A few Course Teachers will be being replaced shortly. Stay tuned for details.

6) I want to apologize profusely for my flakey presence recently... as I made aware earlier, I've had some issues in real life recently. On the upside, most of those have actually cleared up. I will be filing reports on time and replying to email expediously yet again.

On that note, I may very well be keeping the position of Headmaster after the Great Jedi War. After discussion amongst a few of my peers and associates, the conclusion was reached that if I have the time, I should stay. It is becoming apparent that I will have the time, so... :)

Please feel free to bombard me with the usual assortment of mail and IRC queries once more.

 • Deputy Grand Master Report: A few things this week. First off, may I reiterate the Grand Master's words from his report. The behaviour that has gone on during this GJW has been unacceptable, and we will start sending verified cases to the HCI. Have a little thought and care for others, and you'll all get on a lot better, I think. Secondly, a quick reminder about the War that people seem unsure of. You may not refuse to fight someone for the Wargame. If you do, you forfeit the match automatically to the challenger. I think it's better to take on someone thinking you may lose, rather than turn it down knowing you will have a loss recorded against you anyway. Third, I have some point corrections to make owing to (a) an oversight of my own, and (b) a ruling of the Grand Master regarding the DC earning more than participation points for their Clans. As a result of (a) 6 points are added to Taldryan's score. This is to account for the creation and playtesting of missions, for which both Shadow and David earn points. As a result of (b) the 5 points which were earned for Arcona by CyberGuy's 3rd place in the Poetry event are hereby removed. The placement of 3rd position remains unchanged, although CG cannot take the Bronze Nova for that event; it will therefore remain unawarded. I'm afraid I must apologise on both counts. On the first, the fact that David and Shadow were due the points had totally slipped my mind; on the second, I misinterpreted the ruling of the Grand Master regarding DC members earning points for their Clans. For that, both Arcona and Taldryan have my sincere apologies. Fourthly, having checked the results of the poll, it seems that the prevalent wish is for points to be awarded per turn. However, some good suggestions were made on awarding fractions of points, which I think I'm going to take up, so as not to give too much weight to the Wargame overall - there are still other sections of the Competition to think about too! Therefore, per turn, a participant in the Wargame will receive 0.1 points. The number of points earnable in this way will be capped at 5 points, so no member may earn more than 5 points on participation (but this still gives leeway for 50 turns!) Fifthly, I've been talking over some future projects with Firefox, which we'll be starting work on after the War. I'll be discussing these with the Dark Council as soon as FF gives me clearance to do so. And Sixthly! For their massive help and assistance so far in the War, with planning, creation of missions, and the enormous task of marking, I've promoted both SBL Hades and KE Davaak Cantor to the ranks of Sith Warlord and Krath Pontifex respectively. About time you guys had your minimum ranks, hmm? :)

 • As I said last week, a new website for Acclivis Draco is in the making. It can be found at http://had.ath.cx. It's my own server, so I could host the phyles websites as well if the Tetrarchs want that. If you come across any problem, mail me. And I could always need some help, text and graphics are wanted right now.

 • I wish to welcome our newest member, ACO Lorad Desmos. And I also want to congratulate our newly promoted member, DJK Arcturus and PRT Farin.

Weekly Report (Thursday, 13 March 2003)

Membership: Thankfully, it looks as if membership is on the rise. Drynwyn’s Flame is looking quite healthy, and Ebon Cloak is at full power. Good work! We’ll have a few more members coming at the end of the GJW, so things on the membership side are looking quite good. Let’s strive to keep it that way. By the way, don’t slack up on the recruiting just because things are getting better. Keep it up! We need a healthy house!

Promotions: We’ve had a few promotions, all of them well-deserved. Jedi Hunter Arcturus Xyler, Tetrarch of Drynwyn’s flame, was promoted from Jedi Hunter to Dark Jedi Knight; Acolyte Farin Talonheim, promoted to Protector.

GJW: Now that we have a few more members, the GJW will get a little more activity, I’m sure. Don’t prove me wrong, or let me down, guys. I’m counting on you.

Misc: Lorad Desmos passed Phase 1 and also the Krath Grammar Studies. Well done!

My apologies for the late report. I spent last night with my knee elevated. I’d popped the muscle behind the knee-cap. I’ll be fine.

Respectfully submitted this 13th day of March, 2003.

-Phyle News-

Well, let's see.. I started those AWOL checks, but I forgot to set a deadline. So here it is! You've got 'til April 1st to check in. If not - congratulations, you're off to the Rogues. Xythian's checked in, Sabe... I'm not sure. Chaos - he's marked for the Rogues & Kerri, I'm not too sure. If I'm right, she's working with Intel or something. And there's old faithful, Ktulu Mizheray. Who's active & alive, but I'd still like an e-mail, just so I know all's well. Anyways! The GJW is drawing to an end & I'll be re-starting Monthly Topics, so I except BIG turnouts for them. If not, I've got a 'saber now and I'm sort of trained in using it..

One more thing, deadline for Phase 2 is March 31st. So get moving... ;-p

-House/Clan News-

All's well in the Eastern Front, once again. Things are moving along, a new website is in the works. I seen the website addy, but I lost it. Damn.. Nothing much else that I'm aware of. Chistu's out on LoA 'til the 16th. We've got a new member.. what else? My new student is Fairin Talonheim (spelt incorrectly, I bet..), who is also Dark Hand of EC. Which reminds me! I'm taking applications for my DH - e-mail me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] - I'll accept anyone who's active in any form. One more thing: A new group is being started in the Clan as a whole called IRON CLAW. It's basically a Run-On Team from all Houses. If you're interested, again e-mail at the address. I'm the Squad Commander, so ME is the one to talk to. Spread the word!

-Song Of The Week-

The Doors - Love Her Madly - No reason, I just heard it in the car when I was driving to school... such a cool song... hums the tune

-Roster-

Not a chance...

-Conclusion-

Overall, we're getting there. Things are picking up, but it's going to be a long process. E-MAIL ME! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, I'M A LONELY OLD MAN! Not true, I'm actually a young man, but mail me, nonetheless! For anything. I mean, anything.

Peace, dudes..

Acting Tetrarch: PRT Farin Talonheim_

Farin came again to the front of the room, Mike Chistu had not returned, but
word was that he would be back soon. She prepared to give her second and lats
report as acting Tetrarch. "First, I would like to welcome a new member
to our ranks, ACO Lorad Desmos. He seems to be fitting in nicely, I hope you
will all get to know him and all him to get to know you. Secondly, the Great
Jedi War is in full swing and we are currently assigned to intelligence gathering.
I want to see everyone continue to make their best efforts at helping out
the Clan in any way we can. Though we are a small House, we can still make
a difference, no one should underestimate the abilities of the Krath! Finally,
Tetrarch Chistu should be back in the next couple of days, after the report,
I'd like to have those interested join me in planning a 'reception' for him."
She laughed slightly and began reading the news.
