House News:
**_New Prophecy Phyle Tetrarch:
_**As many of you know from my recent mailing announcements I felt it best to remove JH Xizor from his position. I didn't feel that he essentially fitted as Tetrrach, but my thanks goes out to him for his work. JH Karan Callidus Entar has already bene daughted in as Tetrarch and with support from everyone in teh House I am sure he will excel in this position. I'd also like to comment on how gracious Xizor has been toward Karan with his recent ascension to Tetrrach. Exemplary conduct Xizor, I applaud you.
**_Mailing List Conduct:
_**There has been an incident this week where a discussion about the current War on Iraq was proposed. Consul Tarkin immediately responded, followed closely by myself, in stopping any such dsicussion. There were, however, certain members who continued to discuss the war EVEN after at LEAST 3 official summit comments asking such a discussion to be taken OFF the mailing list and continued elsewhere, perhaps on private mails. I shall not name members (naming and shaming is only used in my GJW activity generators!) but 3 people have been banned for 2 weeks and any further such incidents will be dealt with more drastically. When a Quaestor, and even more so, a Clan Consul, asks you to stop, please follow their instructions. It's not done to irritate you, but to protect you and others from any negative incidents that could result.
REMEMBER: The best way to stop conflict is to avoid it. (Love this wee saying TK-7764 - thanks mate!)
**_EH Site of the Week:
_**It is with great pleasure I announce that the Qel-Droma site has been awarded with EH SotW, given a 4 star rating!!! JaM3z continues working to develop and enhance the site functions, my continual thansk and appreciation goes out to him.
**_Phyle Websites:
_**At last the Prophecy Phyle web-site is online!!! The Dark Orb will be easy to set-up as well, I just need to do a layout. Hopefully get that done tonight and sent out to JaM3z for implementation. Please use the sites as much as possible, checking for competitions, news and contact details via the roster.
GJW Activity:
Submissions have picked up and we are in the final counrtdown for entries. You have 1 week to get entries into Mairin and CC'd to me. Details for each phase are down below and this is the last phase of the GJW until we are declared First Clan of the Brotherhood and awarded beyond our wildest dreams! PLEASE get working on this and then we'll get a little break and have some more light hearted internally run competitions.
Dark Brotherhood News:
**_Grand Master Report:
_**1) As I noted in earlier news posts, I have decided to give a one rank promotion to the Krath High Priest and the Sith High Warrior for their great service to the Dark Brotherhood. They are easily the most valuable Dark Council members.
2) I have also chosen a new Headmaster, Pyralis, current Quaestor of House Galthain of Satal Keto. He performed admirably in that position and will now rework the Shadow Academy. I have promoted him to the rank of Sith Warlord as well.
3) For his work as Headmaster, Mage was promoted to the rank of Obelisk Warlord. He is a very energetic person and I know he will do great things in the future.
4) Remember to send all DB related submissions of pictures, stories, etc to Korbane for the Dark Voice! If it is not DB related you can submit it to the EH Newsletters. There is never enough submissions for either of those!
5) The Consul of Clan Alvaak, Sith Battlemaster Frey Gallandro, recently pointed out that his predecessor was never properly rewarded for the time and effort he put into the Clan. Everyone can agree that taking care of Clan Alvaak is not the easiest task there is. So I hereby award Krath Epis Keiran Idanian the Sapphire Blade and promote him to the rank of Krath Pontifex!

_**Dark Brethren:
Throughout the Brotherhood's history, there have been many leaders and many policies. There have been many eras. Most of all, there have been many styles of leadership.
Darth Firefox, Lord of the Sith, initiated unprecedented and unseen changes as of VERY recent. Changes unseen in the old traditions many have accepted as the standing policy. Traditions none would dare to question because someone was going to bite their head off and write “mean, nasty things on their black list.” That was the past. The traditional, stagnant past where those were true.
Welcome to a new era of the Dark Brotherhood. It is with great and honor and pride that I say that I am a member of the Brotherhood today. I hope many of you still hold onto this pride – only to be renewed again.
Most of you don’t know me. I am one of those old crusty retirees from 1998 and 1999. I am a former SSD Avenger COM, Founding Lord Ambassador of the Advanced Guard, Flight Officer and Fleet Admiral, and Tribune of the High Court. They mean nothing to me today. Only Headmaster matters now. After this post, you will never hear any of this again, so memorize now, and I’ll test you later. :-P

If you have a comment, a criticism, a complaint, a death threat, e-mail me. My door is always open even to the homicidal maniacs that hate me. Beware, either email address may decide it hates you for a sudden arbitrary reason. If it does, catch me on IRC as Pyralis or kill my sys admin. Whichever is easiest.
The focus of the Shadow Academy has become a little distorted recently. Mage set out to do ALL of the goals he laid out for himself. Many were accomplished. We have a new SA site. We have an automated database for the courses. We have a large portion of the course material rewritten or corrected. We have new material. Mage saw the implementation of ALL of the current Sith Studies courses as well as a vital Obelisk CORE course which I hope he continues to grade for the SA.
Second Order of Business: In an attempt to correct a GRIEVOUS error in welcome emails over the past six weeks, I will be obtaining a list of all people in the DB that have joined in the past six weeks. Each APP belonging to one of the three orders will receive a personalized email from me trying to both redirect and summarize what they need to do, and what the Dark Brotherhood is in an RPG style e-mail, hopefully.
Priorities: If you have a pending course that needs reviewed, send it to me. There will be NO excuses for delayed courses anymore. I will personally review each one and its worth and relevance to the Brotherhood. If it is NOT relevant, it will NOT be approved. In the future, if you have ideas for courses, please put them at me first before doing ALL of the work. If the course is meaningless, I will not hesitate to turn down even a finished work. Again, useless courses with little or no significance to the Shadow Academy will be dropped or refused. Let me say this one more time. Current and future courses will be under review for relevance.
Future/Current Projects:
Creation of Phase One course and rewrite of test based on a more basic and fundamental set of information
Finalization of Sith Phase Two material.
Total reimplementation of Project Thallium
Shadow Academy Staff:
Unless the College of Lore can function without 15 people, the institution is hereby put back on the shelf. I refuse to allow this staff to become large and unmanageable. The Combat Academy was already disbanded. Officially stated now, we will hold ONLY entirely vital positions as staff. All of the course teachers stay. Trev and Dagger, report to me on your goals and objectives. I will NOT entertain applications for a Praetor at this time. If you think this is WRONG, email me and describe why I should have a Praetor.
SITH TACTICS COURSE TEACHER
I’ve had one application to my knowledge. This was an obelisk. You’d think a Sith would have applied. In the interim, I will continue to grade the course. So, PLEASE take the course. It’s perfectly good, and you get a nice extensive review from me after you take it :P I REPEAT, I NEED A COURSE TEACHER.

Emissary Report:
Greeting everyone! Welcome to the first edition of The Emissary Reports!
I have been about as busy as you can get over the last few days. I'm sure you've all seen my numerous postings on this site, and aside from that I have recieved and replied to about 100 e-mails over two days. These e-mails contained information that lets me get to know the Clan leaders and their situations a bit better. Nevertheless, these are just the tip of the iceberg with regards to the communication I will be having.
A lot of people have been e-mailing me with comments and concerns, which I hope I have been addressing well enough. I would encourage anyone who feels the need, to come and talk to me. My door is always open.
Today I'm going to hit a few more details of my position:
Duty 5: Help train new leadership
Duty 6: Serve as a resource for Clan leadership, new and old
These two kindof fit together, because I don't distinguish people training based on time in their position. I am a strong believer that everyone can always push themselves a bit more to do things a bit better, and so I will always be helping to train Clan Leadership in ways that they can better themselves in the Clan. I'm not saying that I always know the best way to do things, but given my experience, I hope they will at least listen to my suggestions. I will be working hard to develop a level of trust with every DB leader so that we can have open dialouge of what we think the other is doing well, and what the other can improve on. I will learn from this training process just as much.
This week I will be talking more with everyone and getting a lot of administrative things done (such as getting on mailing lists and setting up my million plus e-mail filters :P). **_It has been an interesting week in the Brotherhood with a new Head Master, Emissary Jac getting a lot of stuff sorted out and our KHP and SHW being pormoted to Dark Adept. Further to all this our own House site made EH sit of the week and more importantly than all of this combined...the GJW is in it's final week!
