I've had a couple of instances recently where people have been complaining about the circumstances under which other people are awarded promotions. Whether you feel a promotion to a member is deserved or not, it is the choice of that person's commanding officer to elevate their rank; it is NOT YOURS.

It's extremely disrespectful to those promotees to prance around merrily declaiming to the world at large that they didn't earn it.

In short, I don't want to hear it. It's petty, and nasty, and it has no place in an online club that is supposed to be fun. Please DON'T do it!
