**_QUAESTOR REPORT
#13 for Week Ending 04/04/2003_**
Dark Greetings Brethren
of Qel-Droma,
House News:
NEW Member:
Welcome to GRD Lara York. We once served togther
in Marka Ragnos when I joined the DB so many years ago. it's great to have her
back in our House and I hope you will all make her welcome! Dalk - be nice to
your fellow Bounty Hunter :P!!!
**_Great Jedi War Over:
_**You'll be SO happy to hear that with the end of the GJW comes the end
of my harrassing e-mails! Thank you all for your hard work, it's greatly appreciated
and hopefully your efforts will reflect in the results.
**_Goodbye:
_**Goodbye and thank you to all those members who have left us this week.
Most of you were veterans of the House and Clan and your characters, efforts
and knowledge will be greatly missed. All the best to each and everyone of you.
May the darkness guide you...
_**Dark Brotherhood
News:**_
**_Grand Master Report:
_**1) I would like to thank Mairin for her services as both KHP and DGM.
Not everyone appreciated her or her work, much less respected her, but I did.
And I know that many others in the Dark Brotherhood did as well. I wish the
circumstances of her departure were different, but everyone makes choices.
2) A bunch of rewards and promotions this week. I expect to see more in the
future as well. Just remember to make your recommendations clear and the better
the reward, the more details we'll expect. You don't have to write a novel,
but I don't want to see a one sentence recommendation for a Silver Sash or something!
3) The new SHW should be appointed very soon and once that's done we will go
over the Great Jedi War with everyone. Find out what they liked and what they
didn't like. As I said before the next GJW is planned for sometime around August
and I want it as good as possible. Some mission designers are already being
recruited and I'll go find an excellent writer as well. Learning from the mistakes
of the GJW should let us avoid repeating them and ensure that the next one is
fun for everyone.
4) I'm very happy with the number of submissions that Korbane received for the
Dark Voice. Continue to send them in! The more the better! And remember that
if your submissions don't fit in well with the Dark Brotherhood, you can send
them for the EH newsletter.
5) You have problems, concerns, comments, suggestions? Send them to me! If you
haven't received a reply within 24 hours it means I didn't get your mail.
**_Additional Grand
Master News:
_**After serious deliberations I have decided to appoint Dark Adept Hades
to the position of Deputy Grand Master. He has performed really well as Sith
High Warrior and I believe he was the perfect individual for the job. Hades'
previous position will be filled shortly.
Also, I am appointing Obelisk Battlelord Khaen to the position of Obelisk High
Commander. He was highly recommended and I've known him since my time as Commodore
of the SSD Avenger. This should give him an opportunity to bleed off that extra
energy he always seems to have.
Congratulations to both!
Krath High Priest Report:
1) Phase 2 is done. Thank you to
all who submitted. Scores from my end will be out shortly. Good luck, all of
you.
2) It was a bumpy ride but the GJW is over, rather abruptly but over nonetheless.
Thank you to all who submitted and helped their Clan move on to Glory. While
most Clans did very well, a few had a very poor amount of submissions. Small
advice to Clan and House Summits...if your House/Clan did poorly, now is the
time to get to work and try to boost activity. If your members can't band together
for the GJW, then they probably won't for smaller things.
3) Mairin has retired and I would just like to extend my expressions of friendship
and hope to her. Good luck with your RL stuff, hun. Been great working with
you.
4) Incase you didn't notice, there are a LOT of changes being made around the
DB with more coming up. Now is the time to check yourself and make sure you
are doing your job. Not to scare any of you, but the DB is suffering from a
huge, gaping wound. And that wound is inactive Summit leaders. Our GM, Firefox,
is in the process of stitching this wound up and nursing the DB back to health.
Please bare with him and the rest of the DC as we make headway into the future.
Hopefully a brighter one.
Chancellor Report:
First off, I'll start by telling
the Brotherhood a little bit more about their new Chancellor. My career in the
Emperor's Hammer began almost three years ago in Delta Squadron as a young rascal
named Nashaa KamBuel. About that same time I joined House Ludo Kressh in Clan
Naga Sadow. My Brotherhood career was rather stagnant, but I managed to become
Lord Ambassador of the EH for a short time before I left for personal reasons.
When I returned, I came back to the Brotherhood as Knight Camile in House Gladius
of Clan Tarentum before becoming first Magistrate and the Praetor to Chancellor
Shadonyx. After he resigned, I was placed here. Now everyone's caught up, and
we can continue.
The next order of business is the recommendations I have been receiving in the
past few days. First off, I would like to congratulate the leaders of the Brotherhood
on, so far, excellent recommendations. Out of almost 200 awards processed this
week, I've only had to deny a few. Granted that most of these awards were either
Clusters of Fire or Dark Side Scrolls, but the point still stands. Also on that
note, remember this: If your award is denied, I will give a detailed reason
why and offer a substitute award; however, it is your duty to resubmit the award.
As always, if you have any questions about an award, email me or catch me on
IRC as `Camile.
Speaking of my IRC nick, I am, indeed, of the male gender. Let's hope that clears
up any confusion. :PMoving right along, my general plan for right now is to
simply provide a stable Chancellorship in this dynamic time in the Brotherhood.
I do have some small projects I'm looking into, such as new award images, but
this will all come in time. While on the subject of the office, I am not looking
for a Praetor at this time, so don't bother applying. I mean, it's nice to be
that "cool boss" that everyone wants, but I just don't need the help
right now. :P
In closing, I'd like to pick one particular person who has been a great help
to the Chancellor's office this week and single him out. Yesterday, KAP Korbane
Ashoka entered in 71 medals into the database, one by one. The entire Brotherhood
owes him our thanks for his hard work and dedication in, not only bringing you
cool awards, but also putting together one hell of a Dark Voice every month.
:)
And with that, I think I'm done. Just one quick heads up. My online time will
be limited this weekend, but all awards will be processed as normal. So, stay
warm, stay healthy and for God's sake, Sapphire Blades cannot have an "Awarded
For" reason that says "I like cheese," even if it is for me.
:P
Competitions:
With the end of the Great Jedi War, we're takng some time off! I have a little
mini-competition to run prolly starting mid-week. Nothing too strenuous though!
We are also in talks with the Domninatus summit for a possible Feud!So don't
gte to settled!!!
_**Awards:
**_ Member: Voranyen
Medal Awarded: Steel Cross
Date Awarded: 4/4/2003
Reason for Award: Though he has recently chosen to retire from active duty,
ex-Consul Tarkin nonetheless believes - and I definitely agree - that Voranyen's
excellent work throughout the GJW, including a truly impressive quality of submissions,
makes him more than permitted to wear yet another Steel Cross with pride.
Member: ^CyberGuy^ Praseodymium
Entar
Medal Awarded: Dark Cross
Date Awarded: 4/4/2003
Reason for Award: For being my mater since I was a protector, and helping me
get to JH and TET. If it was not for CG I would still probably be a PRT, and
I think he has done well to put up with me :P. I will probably never fully thank
him for what he has done, but I think this is a good start.
Member: Mejas Doto
Medal Awarded: Sapphire Blade
Date Awarded: 4/4/2003
Reason for Award:
It has come to my attention that DA Mejas Doto was recently awarded a Steel
Cross for his activity in the GJW. This token of appreciation for his efforts
as a contributor to the Clan were muchly appreciated, but such an award does
not at all represent what Mejas has done for the Clan. At the request of outgoing
Consul Tarkin, I am recommending Mejas be the recipient of this Sapphire Blade
for his amazing efforts in the Great Jedi War. He completed every possible event,
with high caliber work, and also propelled his House to a resounding victory
(we hope ;) ). He has worked with great dedication for the past many months,
and recent times have brought to light his exceptional abilities as a leader
when the pressure of a GJW came to bear on us. For his exceptional efforts as
a Clansmen, a Quaestor, and putting 110% effort into every work he produces,
Mejas is truly worthy of this reward.

Reason for Award: Dark Voice Staff Writer - Submission to Dark Voice #35 (editorial7.doc)
Member: ^CyberGuy^ Praseodymium Entar
Medal Awarded: Steel Cross
Date Awarded: 4/3/2003
Reason for Award: I would like to request that ^Cyberguy^ be awarded aSteel
Cross for his services to Qel-Droma. He was one of the DC members who was part
of a House during the GJW and with the combinbed workloads he still managed
to get one of the top participation percentages. He has been a major part of
Qel-Droma since his arrival to the Brotherhood and this medal is in reward for
all his services, both long term and those he made during the GJW.
Member: Alex
Medal Awarded: Star of Eos
Date Awarded: 4/3/2003
Reason for Award: I would like to recommend Alex for a Star of Eos. He participated
well in the GJW, alos working hard to incite a sense of importance over the
mailing list and message boards. Furthermore, he has been a long term member
of the House and Clan and his loyalty and contributions need further recognition,
especially in light of his recent departure.
Member: Anshar Kahn
Medal Awarded: Star of Eos
Date Awarded: 4/3/2003
Reason for Award: HIGH Participation in Phase 1+2, with a huge 78%. He also
placed first in the poem event and worked well as House Tetrarch too. http://www.yogle.freeserve.co.uk/HQDGJWPARTICIPATION.html

Reason for Award: Participation in Phase 1+2, with a respectable 56% activity.
Exemplary conduct and participation. http://www.yogle.freeserve.co.uk/HQDGJWPARTICIPATION.html
Member: TK-7764
Medal Awarded: Steel Cross
Date Awarded: 4/3/2003
Reason for Award: HIGH Participation in Phase 1+2, with a huge 78%. Exemplary
conduct and participation. I would have liked to promote TK-7764, but he is
now in the Equites and requires longer time in service before promotion would
be acceptable. For this reason along with his outstanding service to Qel-Droma
since I have arrived as Quaestor (3 months now) he thoroughly deserves this
reward. http://www.yogle.freeserve.co.uk/HQDGJWPARTICIPATION.html

Member: Kris Omega
Medal Awarded: Dark Cross
Date Awarded: 4/3/2003
Reason for Award: Poor participation in Phase 1, but more than made up for with
uber-participation in Phase 2! Exemplary conduct and increased participation.

Member: Mejas Doto
Medal Awarded: Steel Cross
Date Awarded: 4/3/2003
Reason for Award: HIGH Participation in Phase 1+2, with a huge 100%. He also
worked very well as House Quaestor too.
Member: Voranyen
Medal Awarded: Steel Cross
Date Awarded: 4/3/2003
Reason for Award: Voranyen has been a long term member of Arcona and more importantly
House Qel-Droma. He gave us a boost of points by winning the story event in
Phase 1 and his overall participipation in the GJW was exemplary. I would like
to award Voranyen a Steel Cross for both his services to the House as a member,
his services to the Clan during this GJW and also the effects he has had on
me as a leader (not all negative I promise!). Voranyen "chilled me out"
and this has definitely been a help to both myself and the Houses I have run.
Member: Dalk Darklighter
Medal Awarded: Steel Cross
Date Awarded: 4/3/2003
Reason for Award: HIGH Participation in Phase 1+2, with a massive 88%. Exemplary
conduct and participation, even more so as he only joined mid way through Phase
1!!! http://www.yogle.freeserve.co.uk/HQDGJWPARTICIPATION.html
Member: Ralf "Griffinlion"
Liorkins
Medal Awarded: Dark Cross
Date Awarded: 4/3/2003
Reason for Award: NOV Ralf only joind Qel-Droma in the last few days of Phase
2, but I was amazed to see he really wanted to participate and submitted a poem
within about 24 hours of joining Qel-Droma. This kind of early commitment and
dedication must be rewarded. http://www.yogle.freeserve.co.uk/HQDGJWPARTICIPATION.html

_**Conclusion:
**_Lot's of shinies were given out this week and I'm glad to see each and
everyone was thoroughly deserved. You guys have done a fantastic job, and I
hope that the Phase 2 results will prove us to be the top Krath House of the
Brotherhood, not to mention the winning Clan. Each and everyone of you have
been a major part of the Clan's success, I applaud you all.
We're taking it easy for now, hopefully
a few fun mini-comps with more shinies up for grabs, and then a House Feud with
whichever summit is foolish enough to accept our challenge!!! hehehe :P
