Greetings Everyone

All of you Caliburnus members probably don't know me. But, I'm JKast, your new Quaestor. I was appointed to this job very thankfully by our Clan Consul, Cuchulain, and the recommendation from our SHW helped a little bit too ;) . I am very thankful for this position, and I hope that I'll be able to get everything in order as well as I possibly can.

First off, let me start with this: Our house does not have a lot of members in it. The total is 4, actually. This needs to change! First, I need to know who is really here. So, it'd be great if everyone in my house either replied to this E-mail, came and talked to me on IRC (our clan chan is now #scholae), talked to me on Instant Messenger, or, heck, call my cell phone, I don't care. On top of that, go recruit. Get in the Zone, get on IRC, get on anywhere and get people into the DB and then recommend them to CSP. Do not pull members out of other houses, since that's kinda illegal, but please do everything that you legally can to get us some more members.

Tomorrow, the Independence games begin. I definitely encourage you to participate in as many events as you possibly can. Especially mine :) . We need to show the DB that Caliburnus is not at all down for the count, but that we're made up of good, loyal pilots who will do everything they can for their duty.

Cuchulain has E-mailed me requesting that we send in applications for the Envoy positions for our houses. If anyone is interested in that, please contact either him or me and we'll help you out with the application.

I need Battleteam Commanders for Nightmare and Nightshade. I realize that there are only two members in each team right now, but I'm going to need some people to step up and help me out. I spent three months as a battleteam commander, and I'd like to expect that the leaders I choose will do just as good of a job in helping me as they do a great job helping flight members have fun. As far as anything that you would regularly send to a Flight Commander, send it straight to me for now.

We really really really need a House website. Right now, it's looking like I'm going to have to go to a site to make us a site and update it myself. Hopefully, I will eventually find an Aedile who can do some stuff with websites that can help me out in that area. Leadership and flying is my area, not scripting.

I am very excited to be your new Quaestor. I encourage you very strongly to stay active. Make me proud of my pilots and brothers. Talk to me, get to know me. I'm on most of the time, so E-mail me or message me on IRC. I'll be there.

As my first house competition, I want you all to think of a new motto for the house. It's not the fact that I don't like the Latin that we have, but I think that as we move into a new and improved time for House Caliburnus, we need a new and encouraging motto. The winner of this competition will get the appropriate crescent award for winning. Pretty simple, huh?
