Dark dudes and dudettes,

One and a half reports have been received from the Quaestors this week. Woo-hoo. JKast got the HC one in, Corde gave a mini report on how he's bust his back doing god knows what, and Magus has sent me an email saying that he's under the cosh with end-of-year school work at the minute. Damned school-work...

As you see above, we have the new motto for the Clan: "Without Darkness, there is no Light. Without Light, there is only Darkness", submitted by Lorad Desmos (who is doing all of Corde's work while he's away nursing his back). Congrats Lorad, and you should have something shiny by the end of the day. :P

Unfortunately I couldn't make the Inter-Club training event on Saturday night, and I still haven't heard anything about how it all went. I haven't seen any medal notifications come through for CSP members, but I'm hoping that’s just cos they haven't been processed yet. The good news is that the Training Event will be a regular thing on Saturdays at 4pm EST, or 9pm GMT if that's easier to work out your own time-zone from. Just sit about in #Outerrim on IRC and start challenging people, get medals for winning, or if you're crap like me, you get a medal for doing three fights, win or loose.

Mav has released the new DJB rules, so please take the time to check them out at the link below. If there is something in there that you disagree with, or would like to see changed in any way, then let me know and I'll pass it up. While he was making them, Mav was keen to get as much feedback as possible, and so all the Consul's had a say in them, and he is also still keen to change things if someone sees anything that could or should be changed.

There's a new official DB JK2 server up and running. How cool? The IP is 66.227.104.148, and the password is dbpimps. More information can be found at http://www.minos.net/~obelisk/servers.php but if you need any help connecting and stuff, I'll explain it to you.

And! Some new news that hasn't even hit the news page on DJB.org yet. I'm just that good. :P Ex-HAD QUA and Current Consul of Clan Arcona Mejas Doto has been made Editor of the Dark Voice, and hopes to get the first new issue out in a couple of weeks time. Competitions:

Independence games - VERY Important:

This series of competitions is now underway. Loads of competitions that are geared towards being fun, fun, fun, and there are some very intriguing ones in there, such as write a story using a set number of letter 'e's, JK2 kicking contest, and speed trials in XWA I think, rather than the normal shooty dodgy thing you Sithites do so well. And as well as all those there's my Caption Competition that only Lorad Desmos from CSP has done. Boo! Go get doing those comps!! (Especially mine :P ) Not only do you contribute to your own personal tally of points when you take part, but you also add to the overall House and Clan scores too. Isn't that good.

Clan Systems change - VERY Important:

It appears that the whole planet/star systems things that listed CSP's planets and moons and all that crap was the property of someone in the EH, which means we can't use it. To that end, we have to come up with our own CSP system, including the name of the sun and planets, and all the other technical crap like, this planet is mostly water, yadda yadda yadda. It'd be nice if we could have some jpg's or something to show the system and try and put as much info in there as we can. What I'll do is send an email about this competition specifically asking for volunteers. And stuff.

I can see another competition stemming from this one, and if not a competiton, a series of projects for willing volunteers… anywho, look out for an email about this specifically…

Krath Monthly Topics:

Even through they are Krath MT's, you Sithies and Obbies can do them too, and it would be good to see you do them. This months topic for the fiction is "Divided Loyalty", and is to be sent to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] . Wonder where the inspiration for that came from… :P This month's poetry is to be titled "Virtue" and is to be sent to [Log in to view e-mail addresses].

Fight Nights!

A series of JK competition nights have been worked out by the Shadow dude, full details on the DJB.org news page so it's easier for you to read it from there instead of my adding it here. The best way to get into a fight (apart from stealing my alcamahol supplies) is to sit in the Obelisk channel on IRC (funnily called #Obelisk) and shout at people until they fight you.
