Intro!

Hello and welcome to the second report from myself and Skar! que lights and music There is some more useful information within this report! As I get more settled in and get things rolling I hope to bring you even more things to read about. Also, sorry for the delay been busy in the RL as of late. But with no further delay…..

Message from the Quaestor:

Since last report we have had a House Event: Until Midnightstrikes. A gala was held at the Citadel. Within the House there were a total of 8 participants, little lower than would like to see but glad to see participation nonetheless. Congratulations to all the winners! Special shout out to Atty that placed 2nd overall! Aru grabbed two 2nd placements, Aldaric grabbed a 1st place!

Hope to see more participation in the next event! Trying to work on getting another one together sometime for everyone. Just trying to work out when is the best time etc. Be on the lookout, I will update everyone with information as soon as we get things together.

Within Telegram as most have noticed I’ve decided to create a separate House Galeres & Spectre Cell chat. I apologize to how was incorporated and you all were initially invited. It was all within good intention. And to answer the why? This new chat will and is a place for members within the house to interact, ask questions\ discuss house matters and where I will keep highlighted competitions and news pinned for easy access for everybody. If you need an invite just DM\Email myself, Skar or Juliana. The “Old Galeres” chat will remain as is. Mostly where the roleplay will be hosted at and other shenanigans.

Also we had a discussion recently about either combining the RP chats into one or keeping them seperate. The decision was to keep it as is since each house has different themes and possibly having a combined clan chat in addition for those interested in a combined session. So holding off right now on the combined RP until it is discussed further with the other house and see how many are interested in making a combined RP, maybe tie it into an event or something another to help develop the clan.

Next, the last report I mentioned about incorporating a leaderboard for the house. I’m happy to report that starting with this report you will see the new leaderboard. Before explaining yes it is different and a little more complex. This way I hope to boost participation not only for competitions but earning crescents as well. For the leaderboard you will get points for participating in competitions and any crescents you earn will be a modifier. Containers will be excluded. This system is similar to how gaming submissions get crescents. For every crescent (placement) earned you will earn the modifier of that crescent over the participation point. So if you participated in one competition and received a diamond crescent you would get the 4.0 for your score. See the modifiers below:

Participated Competition: 1.0 (Base); Diamond: x 4.0; Ruby: x 3.5; Amethyst: x 3.0; Sapphire: x 2.5; Emerald: x 2.0; Topaz: x 1.5; Quartz: x 1.3

Here is an example of a member participating in 8 competitions and earning 4 crescents:

• Diamond- 1 x 4.0

• Ruby-2 x 3.5

• Amethyst- 1 x 3.0

Would be:

8 (participated comps) -4 (crescents earned) = 4 + 4 (Diamond) + 7 (Ruby)+ 3 (Amethyst)= 18 would be their score. Say another member participates in 8 comps and doesn't get any placements they would just earn 8 points.

Hello this will be quick as i'm sure you're very eager to read the rest of the report and go crank out those comps! There are a lot of things to cover in this one of them being as stated above the change in telegram channels and their uses. I know everyone can be off-put by suddenly being added to a new channel and in the future we are going to try and be as transparent as we can regarding changes like this with you all so the confusion does not happen again.

Another thing I would like to do is extend a well formed thank you to both Atty and Q for running the weekly rp night in Galares both of your hard work in this endeavor really is outstanding for the amount of time you two put into this. And if anyone has things they would like to see run in future rp’s then please let us know so we can get those set up, no idea is a bad one!

In Closing:

If you have limited time to do any competitions look at doing the Tenixir Prison Break competitions. There are four competitions to participate in!
