Stygian Caldera Nebula Ziost - Orian Borders
The Stygian Caldera Nebula, a distinct luminescent point of interest of the Ziost system. It was far easier to pass through the Caldera to and from Sith Space than the other way around. The picturesque beauty came crashing down when a flight of Sphyrna-class hammerhead corvettes emerged, breaking through the nebula. The gasses of the nebula stretched like elastic clinging to the hammerheads as they passed through. The ships kept to their course heading directly for the Orian system.
Moments after coming into view, an ominous shadow loomed behind the corvettes. A dilapidated looking Liberty-class Mon Calamari star cruiser broke free from the nebula’s interior. At first glance this early generation cruiser seemed hoge-podged together, giving it a classic salvaged sheen. Several sections of its hull & fuselage were bandaged together with scrap pieces of sheathing from various metal exteriors. However, looks can be deceiving.
As the convoy made its way into the Orian system, the hammerheads staged themselves on the port and starboard sides of the cruiser. Fighters began leaving the cruiser’s hangar to begin their scouting patrols. Inside the cruiser, a lone Paladin walked towards the command section of the ship. Valad Baniss an illustrious Arkanian, birthed from nobility and proudly bearing the colors and the tartan of his forefathers. Two Elder lightsaber hilts which were forged resembled those of the medieval knights of the old republic hung at his sides. He walked with purpose, his thoughts racing with one hand firmly latched to one of his hilts.
Valad knew the intel he just received could be both useful and discouraging to his master. Over the years Valad learned the fine art of compartmentalizing what intel he promptly passed along to his master. There was no time to pause, his master needed to know.
The Jedi approached the door to the command room, two armed sentry’s stood outside the entrance. Valad paid the two no attention as he approached, a quick wave of his gloved hand and the door whisked open. The sentries immediately snapped to attention as the Jedi walked past them entering the room.
As he entered, he saw his master and other council members examining holographic images of Sepros and Aeotheran. Representatives from the Children of Mortis were also present, bickering back & forth as to who gets the privilege of killing the first Sadowan Summit member. A Cathar and fellow Paladin Zamier silenced their guests with a very sharp and distinctive roar. The C.o.M members were startled at first then began to laugh hysterically. It was not until they found themselves suddenly out of breath and choking that the laughter stopped. The Wookie Grog’nrir let out a mild growl as his left hand curled into a fist and raised upwards. He uttered not a word as he effortlessly held them all dangling in mid air, gasping for life.
Valad began to speak, “Master, I have developing intel from our fronts.”
Grog'nrir released his guests from his grasp and they tumbled to the floor. Gasping for breath the C.o.M. Lieutenant rose to his feet first. Taking in a deep breath, he focused his anger on the Wookie. It would be his last mistake. The Lieutenant began to speak, his words filled with malice as he pointed at Grog’nrir “We are the Children of M…”
His words were interrupted by the sound of a saber activating. In one fell swoop Zamier severed the lieutenant's arm at the elbow. The appendage fell to the floor still pointing in the direction of the Wookie.
“You have three limbs left, any more grievances you wish to bring forth?” Zamier said, holding his saber at the ready. The Lieutenant shook his head no emphatically.
“Valad, you have the floor.”
Nodding to his brethren, Valad began to unveil the new developments to his master. “Master, your predictions of the Sadowans were accurate. Their Summit has brought the northern hemisphere mines online and established an outpost in support of the operations. Our assets on the ground confirm they have begun railing ore from the mines to the outpost spaceport before shipping the ore off planet.”
Grog’nrir’s steely blue eyes narrowed. “We need those resources…”
HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!!!! Remember on the last report we said CNS Event: NAME TBA (TOP SECRET)(Even I don’t know it!) Well folks, as you can see we have a Wee bit of Shananagenz mucking about at the moment! Sadowans Clan Naga Sadow: Smells like Treachery! kicks off on Monday! It will run for 14 days from 2023-03-20 until 2023-04-02. The Proconsul and I hope you enjoy the story and more so enjoy diving into the action. What kind of treachery can you uncover?
A few moons ago, when the PCon and I started laying out our fictional plan, we kicked around ideas about what we could utilize fictionally. So we took a look at the mines of Sepros. We thought that having them open and producing a viable commodity would make for a lucrative resource for us. As well as serve as an attractive target for the nefarious types we have traipsing through our system. Now in if you happen to catch the easter eggs from the previous fictions, the northern hemisphere of Sepros was surveyed and now those old mines are repurposed and back on line. So we give you the Sepros Mining Outpost.
Fictionally we have a great journey in front of us and a lot of fun and cool ideas to develop. . So again, we hope you are as geeked for our journey as we are!
