Abandoned CIS Complex
Aliso
Unknown Regions
Roaming from corridor through corridor Teylas continued to lead his team deeper into the large, imposing complex. Each corridor looked the same: dark and forbidding. The air was deeply stale, as if no one had ventured inside for many years; it was equally as cold from a mix of the climate of Aliso and the metal walls, floors, and ceilings of the prison.
With Laren at his side they were continuing to mop up Undesirables and push anyone out of their way. "Do you think we got them all?" Laren asked as they seemed to wander aimlessly.
"Doubtful."
"It might be helpful if we could get some power turned on in here. Something is lining the walls that keeps our scanners inoperable," Teylas surmised.
"If this place has it's own internal scanners…" Laren added.
"My thoughts exactly."
The two continued to wander aimlessly around the large complex, running into stray Undesirables and sending them back out to the perimeter of battle droids that were set up to net anyone who tried to flee. Most of the rooms seemed to be exactly the same, but the pattern was also very central. Once realizing that the corridors seemed to lead to the center of the complex, Teylas was able to lead his team towards that area.
The team entered a room - large than most of the others they had run into - but not too large. In it were some small power generators, consoles, writing, and tubing which seemed to lead everywhere. Walking up to the largest console Teylas looked down at it: a familiar design. He caressed his hand across it swiping the thin layer of dirt and dust off of it while also bringing it to life. The bright lights of the console lit the room up as it provided a wealth of information to the Dread Lord.
"So, what is it?" Laren asked as he looked over Teylas' shoulder curiously.
Taking a moment of pause the consul absorbed the information he was reading before responding. "Looks like an auxiliary power room. According to what I'm reading, a much larger power generation room runs through here to distribute power to some of the other levels. This place is huge." Teylas pulled up a holographic schematic of the complex showing the power distribution including what seemed to be well over 20 sub levels on top of the main tower of the complex standing at 612 meters high.
Ramar smirked as he pressed a button, "Ah, here."
The lights of the room lit up followed quickly by the corridor outside.
Just as quickly the comm lit up with chatter. Quelling it the Dread Lord activated his own comm device, "Don't worry, that was me. Hopefully with a little light we'll be able to flush out more efficiently."
Turning to Laren he motioned to two of the Ravagers with them, "You two stay here. If anyone comes in here that isn't Plagueis: kill them."
Unholstering his lightsaber the Dread Lord grinned, "Shall we continue?"
KSD Transcendent
Aliso Orbit
Unknown Regions
The command center of the Transcendent was exceptionally quiet, save for the gentle hum of the displays showing Teylas’ and Selika’s teams moving throughout the abandoned CIS base. In a seat facing a large three-dimensional display, feet kicked up on the edge of the computer deck, slept Dracaryis Sunstrider.
For a week, the Overseer had lived up to his title; day in and day out, he watched and guided the forces of Clan Plagueis as they delved deeper and deeper into the dark halls of the once formidable Clone Wars fortress. He watched small skirmishes between the teams and the old CIS defenses. He listened as teams radioed status reports to either the Dread Lord or his Wrath. He rolled his eyes at the endless banter between the Consul and Proconsul regarding which team would meet their objective first. Dracaryis hungered for battle, and found the work of running the command center dull and uninteresting. This particular day was so dull in fact, that Dracaryis had allowed himself to fall asleep.
Suddenly the comm panel burst to life, and the sounds of nearly every member of Clan Plagueis calling in status reports ripped Dracaryis from his slumber.
”It was me…” he heard the Dread Lord say.
Flipping a switch on the comms panel, Dracaryis established a connection with Teylas.
“Everything alright down there, boss?” Dracaryis mumbled as he tried his best to sound awake.
“Everything is fine.,” Teylas said. “I was simply tired of bumping around this place in the dark.”
“I’m showing you roughly six floors down. Only about fourteen more to clear. Are you sure you don’t need another hand?”
“We are fine. Your place is on the Transcendent with the Quaestors.”
Dracaryis clenched his fists. “Understood, sir.”
“Oh, and Drac,” Teylas began, “This is a test of your ability to command. Not off to the best start if you’re sleeping on the job.”
