A new Headmaster

As you all know, our great Headmaster, Dacien/Bubba, is stepping down. He opted to remain in his position to smooth the transition to a new Headmaster while we held open applications.

We received incredible applications. Both in the quality and in the quantity, we were stunned with the effort and determination that went into the applications members submitted. Ultimately, our decision was not easy, but after consulting with the departing Headmaster, we came to a conclusion: Farrin Xies will be the next Headmaster. As Praetor, he has served admirably as Dacien's right hand man. His ideas were excellent and his experience was top notch, and we firmly believe the Shadow Academy is now in the right hands moving forward.

To our old Headmaster, Dacien, I say thank you for your years of service. Your assistance has been widespread across the Dark Council and you have left a mark none of us will soon forget. You were an integral team member and you will be sorely missed... but don't think that retiring means you'll get away from us entirely. ;)

To all the applicants that applied for Headmaster... We apologize there was but one Headmaster, but many of your ideas were great, so I would urge all of you willing to share your ideas with the Headmaster once he gets settled in.

A Call for Applications

As all of you know, Farrin has served admirably as Tarentum's consul for nine months. In that time, Tarentum has seen its largest number of unique participants and has continued to grow in unit size as returning members and new join the fold an help build something great. But now, the Dark Council needs Farrin, and as such, we will need to find a suitable replacement to guide Tarentum into the future.

To that end, the Grand Master and I are opening applications for Consul of Tarentum. As Consul, you would be responsible for most of the duties on this outdated Wiki page, and many others, from maintaining an active number of activities for members and properly administering awards to your members, to promoting an active presence of the Clan on the main Brotherhood page with regular reports, to maintaining communication between members and motivating activity in chat channels and email lists, to other typical duties of unit leaders. Your application does not need to be in a specific format, and we have no hard requirements in terms of rank or the like. A good application will address Tarentum's strengths and weaknesses, and how you will improve the unit over the next few months, as well as long term plans and goals for the future. Applications should be sent to the Grand Master and myself, and are open to members of any unit.
