Hey Everyone,
We have decided to extend the Bosthirda run on dates based on everyone's feedback. The event will run from 28 February until 2359 EST on 16 March. This allows two full weekend of posting and offers a little more time for organization.
All other rules remain as is.
Additional points of clarification.
1) A single member failing to post three times will result in their teams DQ and elimination from the top 3.
2) A post under 250 words will not be considered in a participants 3 post total. If a player writes five entries, 3 over 250 words and 2 under, they will still be given credit for reaching the minimum post limit.
If you have rule questions that need clarified, post comments on this thread and we will answer them.
The Bosthirda planet guide and DJB plot update are complete and will play a significant role in the run on. You cannot do well in the run on without reading them (it is also my dirty trick method of ensuring you read the third grade level tripe I write). You will see them shortly.

Also, one more question about how the DQs and placements work. From the initial wording, it appears how we place determines the fleet points our units will receive. So, can we still place even if our team has someone who DQs, or does that take the team completely out of the running?
I wouldn't call it 3rd grade. 4th, definitely ;)

A team with someone who DQs is ineligible for Novae/placing. You'll want to make sure that your whole team can manage the minimum posts.
Those who do not meet the minimum posts/wordcount will not count for participation.
Participation ratio is key for fleet points. Placing is key for other fictional awards.
After a bit of discussion with Raken and Pravus, we've decided to dial back the intensity a bit for the last three planets and make fleet points based on placement instead.
In that case, back to my earlier question. If someone on the teams is DQed, does that mean the entire team is also DQed and cannot place at all?
