Qormus hit the ground running as Emissary after his appointment. Unfortunately, we have lost contact with him since early December. I had hoped it was related to the holiday season, but at this point I'm concerned that something has happened to him in real life that has made it impossible for him to continue in his role. I know I speak for the entire Council when I say we hope he's okay and can rejoin us some day soon. For now, though, we need to keep the momentum that he and his staff had built in his first weeks as EMS. To that end, Atra and I have decided to appoint his Magistrate, Erinyes, as the new Emissary.

Erin has had a long DB career. Most recently she has been making great strides as Magistrate to the Seneschal, helping take some of the coding load off of James (see the new About Us page and various improvements to the activity assessment tool, among other things) and has been the driving force on the EMS staff to keep things moving forward while we waited, and hoped, for Qormus to return. Her ability to contribute directly to coding projects will be a major benefit as EMS, as it will allow her to more quickly implement site changes in the role; she also brings substantial real-world marketing expertise to the team.
