Hello folks! Etah here.

Most of you have heard from me individually by now. I took the helm of this house a few months ago, with the assistance of my ever present protégé DarkHawk., who has shown himself to be nothing less than a rock star. Since that time I have been able to meet and become friends with several of you.

This is my first report, which is somewhat unorthodox considering how long I have held this position. But I wanted to start building relationships within the house before I set about the normal leadership routine. When I arrived, it seemed like the House was at an ideological crossroad. It seemed like an older generation of players had left Shar Dakhan and the House was struggling to identify itself.

What I sincerely hope I have gotten across to all of you is that this is your house. This is the lens through which you view the Brotherhood. It is your vehicle for recreational enjoyment. There are those who hold positions within the House Summit. Right now that is me and DarkHawk. But this isn’t our TV show. We’re the producers, not the stars.

Since I became Quaestor, Vosiri put out an official run-on that introduced our specific villain, Erik Cato and Xuner put together an epic competition, more on that in a little bit. Calenhad joined the Dark Brotherhood and set it on fire. He has in a matter of months become both a knight and a Battle Team Leader. Jinius Griffin has launched a campaign to single handedly take over the Shadow Academy.

This is all really great stuff. I think we have the potential to cement our legacy as a great house, maybe not a win-every-competition house like the houses of Clan Arcona, but a house of people who have fun occupying this little slice of the internet together. I’d like to see more of each of you. I don’t care if you are an Adept or an Apprentice, if you are in this house than you matter to me and we should matter on some level to each other. Becoming actual friends is how dynasties are built within the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

The HSD event, Discovery has been going on for almost 3 weeks. If you haven’t heard about it until now, that is my fault! This event is being run by Erik Cato and Xuner, the latter whom is currently in basic training for the armed forces in the real. This competition sets us up on the world of Ambria. Ambria is really fun world.

I’m moving toward 12 years with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, in that time I have participated in dozens on top of dozens of competition series. But I gotta say very genuinely, this has been one of the funnest. I spent about an hour earlier today on Discovery and was able to put strong entries in for the puzzle contest and the flash game contest. I have a lot of ideas for the two fiction entries I plan to do. There is only 11 days left for the competition but I really hope we get some heavy involvement, even if it is only 1 entry. I would love to be able to say that we had a 100% participation ratio.

One of the projects I first had in mind after being appointed Quaestor was a wiki overhaul. One thing I have always appreciated about Clan Naga Sadow was its very complete history and DJBwiki presence. But I have also noticed that as of late, our wiki pages have grown into disuse. To that end I approached Morax Darkblade and he was interested in the project but shortly after he transferred to House Marka Ragnos.

The idea didn’t move forward at all for several weeks until he approached me with still being interested in the project. We moved the focus to the Clan level and to date he has logged in more than 16 hours locating, analyzing and cataloging our clans vast array of DJBWiki articles. The project has since gone onto the back burner because of other DJB work, but it is nonetheless impressive.

Darkblade isn’t technically one of ours, having transferred to HMR. But he is a long time HSD member and former Quaestor. His wiliness to continue the project is laudable. I can’t wait to see what is done on this front in the future. You have my personal gratitude for the work you are willing to put into your Clan, Morax.

There is a lot more to do and talk about. There is a lot of planning to be made. I really hope that I can help each and every one of you get involved in this process somehow. I want to help each and every one of you figure out what your goals in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood are, how to achieve those goals and then I want me and my Summit to be able to give you the support you need to stretch out and reach toward those dreams.
