As Turel has announced in his final report, his time as Fist is coming to a close. He'll remain in the job until we can select his replacement, which means that applications are now open for Fist. Gaming is an important pillar of activity for the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and a key part of our community, one which has been well served under Turel.

Applications are due to me and Atra by December 14.

Important Note: Turel has developed, and I have approved, a battle pass system to largely replace the decade-old GMRG leaderboard/DC accessory system (though we will keep a leaderboard around for those who enjoy it). We are not looking to start from scratch. So while big new ideas are always welcome, keep in mind that you'll have other priorities to manage and I will expect the new Fist to pick up the torch from Turel and work with the Fist staff, James, and the rest of the DC to successfully launch the new system.

What else we're looking for:

• Experience and familiarity with the office of Fist is a a plus
• Familiarity with gaming systems in the DJB is a requirement
• Demonstrated understanding of the Rites of Combat
• Position will engage in a range of Dark Council discussions and will also have significant exposure to Clan leaders and members, so the ability to work well with the team is necessary for success
• Understanding of the high level of time commitment and member interactions, given the nature of gaming
• Ability to manage the Fist staff and work to keep our approved games current and clusters balanced

The Fist doesn't need to be the best or most active gamer in the club; it's a largely administrative role with a major customer service focus. I strongly encourage everyone who has a passion for gaming and feels they could have a positive influence on the community here to apply.
