GJW: Revelation
Greetings Everyone,
The Final Fiction of the GJW can be found below. Writing the plot updates for the last few years have been an enjoyable experience and I appreciate the positive and candid feedback. This final update has a few quirky moments that I hope you enjoy.
TLDR:
- Nix wraps up the story. The Fleets go their own way, the Grand Masters go their own way, and the story is complete.
- Wait...is that first person?
- Wait, did he just insult us?
- Eso-awesome!
- Bonus: The Guess Esoteric Competition has ended.

I call malarkey on the Esoteric comp results. My entry might still be correct.
"Pravus' father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate." --> That could totally be Nix.

This entire GJW has been great fictionally. Super excited about the future!
Ok so dumb question, if Gold Nova entries are normally canon, and we destroyed the Suffering in the BP event, how are you on the Suffering? :P
Of course it could just not count as canon, but still. I like to think my team managed to take down an SSD with a half functioning fleet.
That Pravus bugger is a right douche to lead us on like this. I say we paint ball his house :P

This isn't canon?
In the distant past (by which I mean before Dark Crusade), winning fictions weren't made canon as they tended to conflict with the actual plot of events. I believe having "canon winners" was something we tested just throughout the Crusade and Fading Light. It was mentioned by Mav, and in the fiction event details, that the GJW winners would not impact canon. This war was far too plot-driven to allow people to take stabs at where the conflict would lead... and given none of us figured out Nix was Esoteric, we'd have all done a terrible job :P
In the future, we might hold some canon-based events, but these will be much more specific and probably won't steer the plot of the entire Dark Brotherhood.

I think during the Crusade we were told that the winning entries "may end up being canon" so it also depended on the actual winning entry.
