We have now moved into the final week of Great Jedi War XIII: Discord! We have a couple of announcements / clarifications regarding the War here. And remember, there is still plenty of time to get entries in to the twenty three Event Long and Phase II competitions. The event concludes on August 26th UTC, so take advantage of the weekend and make your Clans proud! As always, if you have questions, please reach out to the competition organizers and CC Evant and me.
Although it is rare, we do occasionally see ties in competitions run during Vendetta events. When this occurs, we treat the result as we would any other competition: We award the appropriate medal (Novas, should the tie be in one of the top 3 places), and we do not award subsequent placements equal to the number of additional tying members (e.g., if three members tie for 3rd place, we would not have placements 4 or 5). For placement points, the point totals are summed across those positions and split equally between all members that tie. For instance, in the previous example, if third place is normally worth 6 points, fourth place worth 4 points, and fifth place worth 2 points, we would take those 12 points and divide them between the 3 members that tied, resulting in four points per member.
The competition Ye Olde Cluster Race requires that activities submitted to this competition have members from at least two different Clans. But what about rogue members on submissions? Rogue members are not in clans, and do not count as being part of a different/another Clan. In this case, so long as there are members from at least two different Clans also on the submission, rogue members can take part in the match and get credit for the competition. Ultimately, submissions must have members from at least two Clans to qualify as an activity for this competition. If members have additional questions, please reach out to the Fist and CC Evant and me.

good and short report. too bad for rogues. but should give incentive to join a clan in the future
Good to know about the ties.
I do want to ask, do we plan to do things differently for the Rogues in future when it comes to events or comps like this? Or is it just the short end of the stick that comes with being in the Rogues?
Probably not. Although some things may change in the future, we see Clans as our primary unit and the main "contact point" with Vendettas. Until a couple of Vendettas ago, Rogues couldn't even participate in vendettas. Rogues will typically have the ability to participate in the majority of competitions we offer for Vendettas, at least while I am GM. However, some competitions are inherently focused on the Clan as a unit in some way, which would prohibit Rogues. I think this is OK, because we really would prefer active membership to find a home in a Clan for a number of reasons, and many of our systems are particularly focused on this idea. We know there are members that do not want to be in a Clan, and that is also OK, so we will make sure they can participate where it makes sense for the competition and the member.
