Clans will earn points during the War, and at the end of the War we will declare First Clan, Second Clan, and Third Clan. We will use a scoring system similar to the one used in GJW XIII to rank Clans that emphasizes Clans earning points primarily in two ways: Members participating in Bins, and members placing in competitions.
At this point, the concept of Bins is familiar to many of you, but as a reminder we wanted to reiterate what they are and how they will influence scoring:
This Bin system allows us to offer a great number of competitions throughout the War, something for everyone, without the need to do everything to ensure you show up for your Clan. We do not anticipate most members will complete all, or even most competitions , but they can still get full participation points for their Clan by completing at least one competition in each Bin. Even participating in a single competition will grant your Clan participation points and make you a valuable contributor to your Clan's efforts to reach the top of the Brotherhood!
While participation is important, placement is key to victory in a Great Jedi War. As in other Great Jedi Wars, this vendetta is meant to award member skill. Novae are up for grabs across all competitions for the top three placements. But that doesn't mean that only the top three participants will earn points - almost all competitions will have 10 placements, with each placement awarding points.
In addition to points towards victory, each Clan will earn a number of credits to strengthen their forces after the war based on their member’s participation and placement points. This will be done in a manner similar to past Great Jedi Wars.
Finally, this event will also have three member Heroes. These members will be decided based on their total point contribution in terms of total earned placement points and participation points. And of course, as with previous Vendettas, members completing all Bins will be featured in fiction related to the War, as will members that earn the most points in their unit. So give it your all - there is glory to earn for your Clan, and for yourself!
Theaters are key locations where the most intense fighting in the Arx System is occurring. The three Theaters are Nesolat Platform, Mattock Station and the Godless Matron. More detailed information on theaters are available in fiction updates and in the prompt for the Event Long run-on competition.
In addition to usage in the run-on, we have started a voluntary program called Theater Combatants. As described previously, members may volunteer one of their characters to be present at a specific Theater for the use of other writers. This is not binding to the volunteer (that is, they can write the character anywhere), and they are not bound by what is done to the character by other authors. However, writers are free to use any Theater Combatants in any encounter within a Theater they write.
We all hope you enjoy the story and competitions as much as we did creating them. We will update any important information relevant to the membership as news posts during the duration of the Great Jedi War as quickly as possible. While also publishing mid-event fiction during the gap as we enter Phase II later in the war to close it out. Good luck to all and enjoy your own creations within the Star Wars Universe.

So it begins......
Just a quick note: If you have a question on a competition, please email the organizers and CC Evant and I. This helps us track open issues and get clarification quickly available to all members, if a competition requires it.
Good luck, all!
Here we go
I admit, I don't think I've been this excited for a GJW in quite some time. Nicely done, ladies and gents. Go CNS!
