Quaestor Report #1 | The Fire Ignites
Hello my beloved Crazies!
There have been quite a lot of changes in the past few weeks that have caused a rapid succession of events to occur. Let’s go over a brief summary of what has happened, for those of you who may have missed out:
- Xen’Mordin Palpatine retired as our beloved Consul.
- Xen’Mordin Palpatine was awarded an Amethyst Kukri in light of his efforts towards our clan
- Elincia Rei, or rather “________” was chosen by the Dark Council as the new Emperor of Scholae Palatinae.
- Braecen Kaeth, recent Quaestor of Excidium, was chosen by the Dark Council and Elincia Rei as Proconsul of Scholae Palatiane.
- Alara Deathbane was made Quaestor of Excidium in Braecen’s place, thus opening the Aedile Position.
- And… MANDOS!
Yep. Those are a lot of facts to process. A lot has been going on within the halls of Scholae Palatinae. I’d like to take this time to thank Xen for his tenacious and passionate heart that made our beloved clan what it is today. Thank you for all you have done, Xen. You have impacted so many lives, including mine, and we will never forget you as one of our founding fathers. You will be missed, so you better stick around to shake your cane at us!
I’d also like to thank Braecen for his months of service as Quaestors to our beloved clan. You have shaped our House in such strong, foundational ways that will last generations here at the DJB. You are my great friend and I am excited to see what the future holds for you as Proconsul.
Elincia and Raiju, a big congratulations goes out to the both of you on your newest positions. Our Summit may have changed rapidly, but it’s strong, consistent, and dedicated leaders like you that will guide our clan into what the future and the Brotherhood has in store for us. I am very excited to get to know you both better as we all work together for the clan.
Mune and Shadow, thank you for providing our Summit with stability and grace that you two so lovingly share with all of us. Here’s to the future!
And to you, my beloved crazies, thank you for the amazing months you have given me as your Aedile. It was truly an honor to work with each and every single one of you whether in competitions, in mentoring, in-game or in-character, and of course, good ol Telegram. I look forward to serving you as Quaestor of House Excidium and endeavor to carry on the torch that my father figure and good friend Braecen did in his months of service with us. In doing so, I too would like to share my goals with you as your new Quaestor.

Immediate Plans:
To hire an Aedile. I need myself a compadre up here in the Excidium Summit! Submit your applications to myself at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] no later than Friday, August 25th. I’d like to fill this position as fast as possible in efforts to provide stability for the House. Requirements: Rank of JM3 or above, active status with communication available within 24 hours, creativity, a brief synopsis on your vision and ideas for Excidium, and RUM. LOTS OF RUM.
To revise the wiki ~ I believe this has been put off for far too long and give the call to volunteers who are interested in endeavoring in this with me. If others cannot find the proper information on who we are and what we do, we may seem like sneakity-sneaks, but we also look very unorganized. T̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶h̶a̶s̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶d̶o̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶f̶a̶c̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶I̶'̶m̶ ̶O̶C̶D̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶s̶t̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶l̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶o̶r̶g̶a̶n̶i̶z̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶.
To create the promised second Battle Team of Excidium ~ Braecen and I decided that we would put this on the back burner until after the Great Jedi War. Since it has been revealed that the GJW will not be happening as quickly as we had hoped, I would like to bring this back to the table for members to enjoy. Because of this, I am now receiving applications for the Battle Team Leader Position of what I have temporarily dubbed to be named Battle Team Lemniscate. This is just the name I picked for now because I thought it was cool. We will host a vote when the time comes on what our new Battle Team will be named. This team is for those who appreciate the forefront, intellect, street smarts, brawn, guile, endurance, and explosions. Monthly Competition Schedules ~ Fun and easy competitions, as well as exciting, in depth competitions will continue to exist in our lovely House. I would appreciate if every single member would sit down and take some time to fill out this survey on competitions in the House. We have been gauging activity levels since I was in office, but I’d like to hear from you as well. What do you like doing in particular? What do you not like doing? Do you have any suggestions as to what competitions should be provided? This is your chance to make an impact. Speaking of which…
Impact on the House Fiction and House system by you, the members ~ This is a recreational club. When it’s no longer fun, we aren’t doing it right. I want to be able to provide content you enjoy, while also providing you the means to provide content that others will enjoy. We are a House. We all work together. I am just here to ensure that your happiness and fun remains as top priority in Excidium. Opportunities have been given and will continue to be given for Excidiacs to shape our House into what it will become. We are organic: growing and shaping for the good of the Clan and its people. If you have any project ideas, suggestions, critique, concerns, questions, or you are just plain bored and need something to do, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Plans on What is to Come
Training ~ I believe that when one is fully capable and fully equipped to succeed, it is up to the person to choose success or failure. However, I see instances in which people are not equipped or know not of their capability in circumstances regarding apprentices (being one, and even training one), promotions, resources, and communication. I endeavor to change this by getting focus on some projects already in the works including an Excidiac Master’s Handbook, an Excidiac Apprentice’s Handbook, updated wikis, consistent communication through email and Telegram, one-on-one training from myself and my Aedile to come with members of Excidium, and understanding provided on subjects such as promotions and awards.
“Permanent” Habitats for Excidiacs ~ We will get to our true homes. In this, I will need your help designing graphics, writing descriptions, (co)organizing competitions, and providing substance for our members and their characters. If this speaks to you, please speak with me. Operation Sleeping Dragon still continues on and will impact history as we know it and will alter the course of the future of Excidium. Do not miss this chance to leave your mark on our House to make it your true Home.
Run Ons of Excidium ~ I know, Run on for Funsies kinda fell apart… It fell apart because we lacked vision as well as participation. I will be assigning leaders within the House that are willing to host workshops and competitions through Run Ons to make sure that it doesn’t happen again.

In all seriousness though, I think we have a rather brilliant future ahead of ourselves. I endeavor to see it grow >stronger with more ideals and storylines implemented by our members. We have a very talented unit here, and I’d >hate to see those resources and proteges stay untapped.
Shadow Asks… Will there be even crazier adventures for the sisters now that Alara is QUA?
You mean now that I’m your boss and not just your apprentice? HECK YA!
Katyusha Asks… Will Alara be happy when she learns that Kat is her step-sister due to adoption?
I think, fictionally speaking, Alara might be confused and perhaps a little worried that Shadow didn’t say anything. >Shadow means the world to her and for her to think that another sister will be added to the family tree might make >her feel a bit crowded. We shall have to explore this in fiction, you and I. ;)
