During the past month we’ve made it through the end of a major competition, gotten out some well deserved rewards, and continue to find a fictional identity for everyone in different ways as we move forward to the next great thing. I think we’re a bit beyond introductions, so I’ll instead orient that more towards House fictional ongoings from my perspective, and continue the rest of the report as it was before.
Imperial News Net
The biggest news of the past month, is the end of the campaign on the planet of Caina. Originally intended as a simple show of power and military exercise, we uncovered more than expected. Complete follow up on this event is available on the DJBWiki.
Following this event, the Emperor has given personal orders to Kell Dante to reopen Dorimad Sol and move it to the planet. Although stretching our limited resources a bit thin, we have the numbers to do it and already the expansion to three teams has shown success.
Each of the three Battle Teams has been given instruction to report to the Emperor on their progress and plans, and now all three will begin to compete for his favor. As they get developed and accustomed to their new headquarters, it is expected that they will soon be set to compete against one another to earn his favor.
Meanwhile, Scholae Palatinae continues their ongoing efforts of Imperialization. Slowly reassessing everything and finding ways to operate more effectively for the safety and security of all the Empire’s citizens. Although this is derailed slightly by a constant reallocation of resources to challenge the growing threat of Fias Zhan. While the teams are being built and fight to gain their own favor, all signs seem to point to an outright conflict with the proclaimed heir of the Cocytus System.
News
- Great Jedi War: The next GJW is still planned to take place on Korriban, with a lot of work going on in the office of the Voice to make this happen and a fully developed plot. This will happen after a 1 month break however, and before this comes, we will experience the final phase of Fading Light in which we can all compete, however before this can start we are down to the final four battles at the ACC which can be found at the ACC Fading Light page.
- Tumblr page: The DJB has a tumbler page which you should check out, and follow if you’re interested, or at least go check out.
- ACC Rubric: There was quite an overhaul to the ACC with the recent version of it. With ongoing individual battles and a full scale ladder, the whole system is being pushed to its limits. There really are an unlimited number of ways to make a battle creative and suit the individual needs of a member. However, at the end of it, the rubric stands to help us understand how we will be graded. This has been tested time and time again, and isn’t holding up in very close battles and will be looked at again following the Fading Light ladder completion. If you have any feedback, hold it until the competition is over, and then email it over to Darth Pravus.
- History Lessons: There has been an entire rewrite of the history courses over at the Shadow Academy. You can check the department out here on the Shadow Academy site. There have been quite a few changes to the degrees and how to get them also. To keep this brief, it will be in the links below but you can go to the report here for the details.

Projects
- Wiki: This will probably always be on here, as the main fictional record of our unit. Most recently the latest campaign had an event page created. Each Battle Team Leader is responsible for getting their respective pages up to date with fictional identities and how they attempt to gain favor with the Emperor. Then we constantly strive just to get our entire military up the state where we should be including new ship pages created. If you have any interest at all in helping out on this project please let me know.
- Imperialization: This will likely remain an open project as well, until we finish the last of the Looking Home and do a final wrap up into next year. It’s in anticipation of the new movies and just everyones favorite feel. If you are looking at the wiki, or have some ideas on how to make us feel more Imperial please let me know.
- Careers: This is a handoff from Xantros to myself. We have discussed a bit in the past and we’ve had brief discussions on how to use this. Overall, how to we give members the ability to make use of the Empire’s resources, and further our goals while also achieving their own. We are really trying to reach a point where it comes with its own competitions and such, eventually. In the meantime, we are focused on fictional development and wiki updates before we tackle something so demanding. If you are interested in helping out however please let us know.

Closing
Things we always be changing, because even if we found a perfect state for everything, we’d find some new plot to mess it all up again. Scholae Palatinae has a long history which has afforded us the assets and traditions that serve as a great foundation for the future. There are many former leaders who come and go, and we often will sit around and reminisce of the past, but never have I had as much fun as I have been having this past year working on competitions for our House and helping carve a place in history for all of its members. Even though we may not be as massive as other units, I can’t think of a greater team to be part of and dedicate my time to writing with. There’s a lot of fun to be had tomorrow, and the next day, and while you may see Xen and I do some crazy things and take risks, in the end we just hope you’re having fun.
