With Zxyl’s appointment as Proconsul, we’re looking for someone to fill the position of Ektrosis Quaestor. We expect this role to be more challenging than a typical Quaestor position, because our focus for the immediate future is revitalising Ektrosis into a unit that matches our vision of Taldryan’s future. In addition to the usual administrative duties of a House Summit position, the new Ektrosis Quaestor will be expected to spearhead the House’s fictional development, as well as contributing to the fictional direction of the Clan as a whole.

The new Ektrosis Quaestor will play a vital role in continuing Taldryan’s recent upswing in activity. As a result, you will work closely with the integrated Clan Summit, including both the Consul and Proconsul and the independent Battle-Team Leader. If you’re looking for a position where you’ll be left to do your own thing without any pressure from above, this probably isn’t the job for you. However, if you’re someone who has a vision for a better Clan and is willing to work to make it reality, Taldryan will welcome you with open arms.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous DB leadership experience, or an equivalent, is required. This is not a position for people who want to learn how to be a leader; you will be expected to hit the ground running. (If you’re interested in learning how to lead in the DB, there will be future vacancies for positions that will allow you to learn as you go, but this isn’t one of them.)

• Your application must include detailed examples of your ideas to revitalise House Ektrosis, preferably in ways that mesh with Taldryan’s current storyline. We are looking for someone who has their own ideas and the initiative to carry them out, not someone who waits to be told how to do their job. • As with most DB leadership positions, the Ektrosis Quaestor will need to maintain a 24-48h turnaround on e-mail and Telegram messages. Beyond the general need for accessible leaders, Clan Summit discussions tend to move at a brisk pace, and being able to respond quickly is the best way to make sure your views are heard.

• You must be open to incorporating Taldryan’s traditions into your ideas for progress. While Clans obviously need to change with the times in order to prosper, we also value our ties to our past.

• Applications from DB members outside Taldryan are welcome. If you are a member of another Clan, we encourage you to let your current Summit know that you’re applying for the Ektrosis Quaestor position.
