DICE's Star Wars Battlefront to revisit the original trilogy
EA's press conference at E3 shed some light on the new Star Wars Battlefront game being developed by DICE, with more details "spring 2015".
They are going to be revisiting the original trilogy in the game and are treating it "with respect." The developers went so far as to visit the LucasFilm archives to photograph and view the original models and props in an effort to ensure their in game models are as accurate as possible.

Cool me cynical, but while the graphics look good I detect some amount of Watch_Dogs-itus (E3 footage looking absolutely amazing and the final product being toned all the way down.)

I call you cynical. If Dice can do one thing, it's make games pretty. It might be completely bug ridden and unplayable at launch, but it'll be pretty :P
Also, hopefully we'll finally get to experience the Battle of Hoth properly. So many games before this one have tried. So many have failed.
All I can say is this looks good and it better be. I upgraded to next gen because of this game (and Arkham Knight)

Well according to their Website, DICE Studios in Stockholm make the Battlefield Series, which at the moment, is looking pretty amazing on the PC. They are re-mastering Mirror's Edge at the moment and the Star Wars Battlefront. I seriously hope they make it just as good as battle-field.

Get with the times Yacks, this is the first time we will have experienced the officially canon version of the Battle of Hoth... that makes it special and unique, right? :P
