I’ll be bringing you updates around the middle of each month and I’ll update you on anything remotely concerning gaming that I think is worthwhile, whether it’s club supported or not.

StarCraft 2 Discount

Both StarCraft 2 Wings of Liberty and StarCraft 2 Heart of the Swarm are on sale 50% off. You can pick up each one digitally for $9.99. If you’re new to StarCraft 2 or haven’t played yet (like me) you can try it out for free.

The Taken King

One year ago Destiny was released and was one of the biggest game releases in history. Several had high hopes for it’s release and some people feel it didn’t meet their expectations. Some people gave up on Bungie and blamed Activision for the game many felt lacked story and content. It became supported in the DB shortly after release and to this day is one of our more popular PvE games. I stuck with the game and enjoyed myself along the way. The Taken King released on the 15th and for many people it was Bungie’s last chance to prove themselves. Bungie did not disappoint. I’ve only heard positive things about it and have been impressed since the first cutscene sprang to life on my TV. If this is a game you’ve thought about trying go pick up The Legendary Edition in order to get all previous content, as well as The Taken King.

Deadpool

Are any of you fans of the Merc with a Mouth? Thanks to the recent popularity of Deadpool due to trailers being released for the upcoming film due out February 2016 it has been announced that High Moon Studios’ video game of Deadpool will be released on PS4 and Xbox One. Will you be picking up a copy?

Battlefront Beta

Star Wars Battlefront is travelling from a galaxy far, far away to join Xbox One, PS4, and PC users in an open beta free for everyone. I’ve got the game pre-ordered already and await it’s release in November. The beta will be available in both online and offline modes. Yes there will be split screen available. The Tattooine Survival Mission, Hoth Walker Assault, and Sullust Drop Zone will be playable in the beta. The beta will take place in October, but no date has been set. Are you excited?
