Star Wars Commander and Star Wars Galactic Defense Events
Another quick news blast related to a new Star Wars Commander Competition (with slightly updated rules from previous versions), Star Wars Commander PC, and a Star Wars Galactic Defense Competition. Also, go read the News Post about the new Mobile Star Wars Game that's below this one. You know there will be Crescents and CFs to be had from it.
Star Wars Commander: Galactic Tournament 9 (Mobile)
Tomorrow the latest Tournament competition begins. Following some review of submissions to a recent event we've made some changes to the specifics on this competition. While I always suggest reading the competition itself over, these are the new parts:
New: A specific screenshot is required, example is included below.
- The screenshot must show the Tournament Name and your resulting League and %. Submissions of Screenshots not showing the Tournament Name will be marked invalid.
- Screenshots must be taken with less than 24 hours remaining in the event or showing the Event Store Open, to take into account all battles which members took part in during the event. Submissions of screenshots taken with greater than 24 hours remaining in the Tournament will earn 5 CF and be invalid for placement.
The reason for requiring the Tournament Name in the screenshot is to ensure folks aren't submitting screenshots from past events. Don't worry, no one did this (that I know of) it was discovered when a PC player submitted to an Event mistakenly thinking it was correct to what was running on that platform. So we decided to clear up this part of the rules.
The reason for the screenshot time change is to make sure folks aren't capturing a strong performance in the first few hours of the event. This would give them a strong % Placement at that point in time, but then it would slip lower as the week progresses and other players attack them.
Star Wars Commander (PC)
We've begun monitoring the Star Wars Commander PC version for Events as well. As these come up I'll be creating competitions for them just like the Mobile version. If you see an Event come up and aren't seeing a Competition, feel free to fire me off an email about it or hit me up on Telegram / IRC.
To cover it before someone asks, you may not use the same screenshot from a previous Mobile Event or PC Event if it runs later on the other platform. So if Galactic Tournament 9 (PC) starts in 3 weeks, don't dig up your Mobile submission and re-use it. I'll be cross checking all the submission. Don't think by selecting the "Don't Publish" option that the old screenshot will be hidden from me either.
Star Wars Galactic Defense: War of Ideals
Yesterday Star Wars Galactic Defense began a new Event. War of Ideals is an Arena style event with General Kalani as the Dark Side event main reward. His special move calls in three B1 droids to help him fight. Assaj Ventress is the Dark Side Elite Champion, who has a 5x boost to attack and health during this event. Lux Bonteri is the Light Side Elite Champion, with the same bonus.

I hit the pay wall hard in this game and just couldn't get past it. Glad people enjoy it though!
/me points to himself. My bad. I'm said PC player who wasn't paying attention to competition details. Bad bad new guy.
I hit the pay wall in Commander as well, at the moment I'm nowhere near being able to upgrade buildings without throwing money at the game, more or less given up on it now.
No pay wall guys. Just log in every couple of hours and collect. Don't upgrade your headquarters until everything else is at the same level.
The pay wall is the inevitable point where one's patience can't outlast the desire to progress. When that happens, I stop playing F2P :p
Landon, I've now spent a month and a half trying to get to 2 million alloy to upgrade my HQ and I'm still nowhere near it because of the constant attacks, basically the only realistic way to get there is to spend real money either for protection or to upgrade the HQ with crystals, that feels very much like a pay wall to me. :P

I got back into the game and I just find the bases with the most money have .y guys destroy the money stuff first
Awesome. More events to get involved in. :D The pay wall is a little annoying but I haven't hit it with my base just yet, thankfully. :D
I've got a Lvl 8 base and am slowly working all my other buildings up to 8. Made a mistake early on and let my Base get way ahead of the rest of the buildings
Yeah, that's what happens to most people. They will upgrade their headquarters fast, but not all the other buildings. Gradually upgrading everything else to your HQ level is a must. Also like someone mentioned, crushing someone else resources will give you a ton of resources over time.
