Star Wars: Commander lets you crush the rebellion, or restore freedom from your iPhone!
News coming from the Star Wars gaming camps today, with the release of a new game called Star Wars: Commander. It looks like a simple strategy game that you can play on Apple iOS devices, and will hopefully be coming to other platforms soon though I have no confirmation of that whatsoever.

Reminds me a lot of Galactic Battlegrounds which I loved on PC. I'm enjoying these mobile games Disney is pushing lately, though I also want to see some more serious development with BF3 and who knows what else.

This game will be on my phone once I'm home tonight. Competitions to (hopefully) follow as I learn the ins and outs.
Do we want to set up a DJB Squad? The game is basically a Clash of Clans clone but a bit more story driven and you get to choose a side.
If there's an option to make a DJB Guild or Clan we'll have one (no requirements to be in it to participate in comps)
Article I read said Android was coming in a couple weeks... waits ... never played Clash of Clans but it seems popular according to the app store. :p

Friday morning update, I'm slowly working my way to the 10k credits to create a Squad. I haven't figured out how invites work to Squads yet, but with a 30 person limit I'd rather keep members of the Squad to DJB Club members. The other option would be to make it an Open Squad (to all people playing the App) and it may fill before any members can actually join it. We'll get a News Post up with Squad specifics later today or tomorrow.

Our DJB Squad should definitely be members-only, and you could set a rule that says people not actively playing should drop out. Or just create two DJB Squads?
I played a little last night; totally reminds me of Galactic Battlegrounds. Really enjoying this. And I'm sure it'll hit Android soon enough; Apple and Disney probably have a deal to give them a few weeks of exclusivity.
I downloaded it on my iPad and it's definitely a fun little diversion. Now that Aabs mentions it, the game does remind me of Galactic Battlegrounds a bit. I'm assuming there's cross play between platforms as the game mentioned that if you log in with Facebook you can continue on multiple devices.
I'm assuming everyone is going Imperial since the squads are side restricted right?
The Squad I'm making is Imperial. I don't think I can make a Republic Squad, since I already chose my side.

Been playing the game for a couple of days now, really enjoy it. Very nice distraction and time killer. Let me know when the Squad's up, I'll join.
The Imperial squad seems to be up, it's "Dark-Brotherhood." It would probably be a good idea to put your DB name and PIN in the join request to help Val and company distinguish between actual members and random join requests.
