The Herald Staff and Recruitment Team are putting together something special to try and get our name out there on and around May the 4th and we need YOU (yes, you. Specifically.)

1) I joined the DB because I was desperate for the answer to an SW-related question (was on page 73 of a google search) and found the answer here.

3) We've got a bit of everything, so you never get bored.

In other words it feels like home. •"What do you love/like (you decide :P) most about the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?" - The feeling of accomplishment every time I get promoted, win a comp or earn a award I feel like I have actually done something to be proud of and then the leaders and members of HOU inspire me to strive for bigger and better things. 'Why did you stick with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?'
The sense of community in the club is second to none found anywhere on the Internet. Not only that, but the club gives me the chance to contribute my skills towards projects and fun stuff that people all across the world can enjoy - there's no feeling like that sense of satisfaction.
"Why did you join the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?" Because it seemed like a cool place to kick it. (Yes, that was a Jazz reference :P). In all honesty, I don't remember. Primarily my love for Star Wars, I'd imagine and the fact that there's no real equal to this Club out there.
"Why did you stick with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?" Because it gave me a lot more than just enjoyment. It gave me people I can call friends even though I've never seen them in person :)
"What do you love most about the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?" House Odan-Urr :P
Why did you join the Dark Jedi Brotherhood: I joined the DJB because I was looking for a new way to roleplay. When I discovered the dossier system that allowed you to physically see the rewards you received for activity, I was instantly hooked. Anyone can 'say' they have a lightsaber, but now I can 'show' I have one!
Why did you stick with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood: With the level of detail in the continuing story, there's always something going on that you can include your character in. The longer you are with the DJB, the more power you gain. Just like a typical RPG system. That thought process has kept me interested for 10 years running.
What do you love/like most about the Dark Jedi Brotherhood: Yes.
Why I joined the Brotherhood: I heard about the Brotherhood from a couple close friends it seemed interesting so I joined. Little did I know I would meet and become friends with a plethora of talented and amazing people through the Brotherhood.
Why I Stay with the Brotherhood: Because of the sense of belonging and because there is so much to do and learn how to do here. There is always something fun to do be it a competition, a vendetta, or just relaxing for the evening and gaming with friends.
What I love the most: It's hard to narrow it down to just one thing that I love the most about the Brotherhood. Receiving awards for doing a good job is a plus but honestly I think it's the feeling of community and acceptance from the group as a whole that I love the most, it makes me want to do more and try my best to do them proud even though I know I will still be just as accepted if I don't.

Why I joined?
Cause I was recruited through swg. I am a huge sw fan and wanted to learn more about the sith and kick Vader 's arse
Why I stay?
I actually quit because of some resentment from players who shall remain unnamed. It took an AWOL check to get me back. Then a former rival, Ronovi, convinced me that things had changed and would be better.
What I love about it?
That we no longer expect perfection from everyone and reward even for limitations (like me using a cellphone, which I'm doing now). I also love the conglomerating (damn tough word to spell) and unification (another big word) of players to help each other out, even when they are not adept in certain forums of competition.

"Why did you join the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?" I had been in the TIE Corps for about 6 months, and wanted a shiny lightsaber on the hip of my uniform. Also I wanted to expand on the people I was getting to know within the EH at the time.
"Why did you stick with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?" Im going to answer this from the point of the split. At the time I had a nasty experience with some of the more cold hearted people in the TC, and I had alot of friends in Scholae Palatinae. I decided to just rough out the storms with the people I had grown closer to, and figured that the ones who were helming the DJB during the split had calmer heads than the EH at the time.
"What do you love/like (you decide :P) most about the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?" Ive always loved the sense of community (perhaps even a brotherhood. :P) within the DJB. The people in this club challenge my writing and gaming skills. Also for someone who has been an introvert the majority of their lives, this group draws me out. They make me sharpen my people skills and challenge me to be more active and give more in everything I do in life. Yes that sounds corny, but the truth is the truth. :P
I'll continue the trend of not following directions and answering a quote from all three choices. :D

One even driving seven hours to be there for me during a rough funeral. I will never forget that, and that is something I do not see any other club being able to offer you. The deep ties that is possible with this awesome group of people. "

Long story short I was introduced to the DJB by GM Havok during joint EH/DJB TOR raids back in the day. Eventually I got light side curious and that kind of "alternative lifestyle" is frowned upon in the EH so here I am :p
Where else can you find a group of graphic artists, writers, role players, web developers, hardcore gamers and everything in between coming together to share a common passion and build something special? The creative energy and community spirit in the DJB is palpable, it's hard not to get swept up in it and make lifelong friends along the way.
I'm going to echo V'yr's answer to that question and add:

Why did I stick with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?
I just came back from a long absence, and every now and then what I would think about during that time was how much fun I was missing out on. The sheer variety of things to do within the Brotherhood means there's never a dull moment. More importantly, though, is the community. We're all very different people - different walks of life, different countries of origin, hell, even different primary languages - but we all have come together due to our shared love of Star Wars and the huge world surrounding it. - Ryan (RL name, see, I can follow directions)

"Why did you stick with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?" in one word: Friendship. The awards and pats on the back are nice and all but really the onlything that has kept me in club all these years is the friendships that i have developed over the years. Some of which i have now met personally.
"What do you love/like (you decide :P) most about the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?" See above, but also the planning and thought that goes into running the club as well as all the major competitions. The leadership constantly tries to come up with interesting story lines for the Vendettas. Bragging rights are everything and those are won through the Vendettas.
