Greetings Tarenti,

I would like to start off by saying how honored I am to be selected for this role. I know this is a big responsibility and I will work diligently with each and every one of you to make Tarentum a force to be reckoned with once again. We have something special here. Something not every unit has. We have a very rich and long history here in Tarentum. We were founded by some of the most amazing members that have ever put on our robes. Clan Tarentum was a fiction and gaming power house. We were the home of House Tridens who descended directly from Tau Squadron, the Dark Brotherhood's elite starfighter squadron. House Gladius of Clan Tarentum were blessed with amazing writers who would win competition after competition. House Cestus was home to fearless gamers who loved to bring home 1st place every chance they got.

I joined House Gladius of Clan Tarentum in the year 2000 and I immediately felt like I was home. We had amazing members who would bend over backwards to help anyone who was of need. I certainly was. Ciara Tearnan, Aari Nikkus, Telona, Kodiak, Bloodfyre (before the name change) and so many more really took the time that to make sure I got what I needed and most important, I was having fun. They cared, not because they had to, be because they wanted to. Tarentum was amazing when I joined, and that is why I call this place home. All those people above became very close friends to me at the time. Some are still close, others have moved on to real life pursuits and I couldn't be happier for them. There are many other people that should be on that list, but you get my meaning. This club, and Tarentum in particular, can give you so much more than medals or ranks or a fancy lightsaber. But it takes effort and time to reap those rewards. Think of it as an investment on personal enrichment. If you let yourself, you will go far, you will make lots of friends, and most importantly, you will have a lot of fun while doing it. But it's up to you. Tarentum is moving in the right direction. If we work at it, together as a team, we can reach Clan status once again. It's a tall order, but one I know Tarentum can achieve. I believe in all of you.

Now that is out of the way, time for some news.

As you know, most of the Summit has been replaced. I was named AED, DJK Farrin was named RM, SBM Starret was named BTL of Knights of Tau, And DJM Korras was named BTL of Jen Kaari. The only person who stayed the same was QUA Scion. Scion is an amazing QUA, and Tarentum has benefited enormously by his leadership. We all owe Scion gratitude for getting Tarentum to where it is today. So, for myself I'd like to say thank you to SBL Scion Altera for all of his hard work. You're a damn fine QUA. But I would also like to say congratulations to Farrin, Starret and Korras. Thank you all for stepping up and heeding the call. I know we can do amazing things together.

In the future the Summit will be trying to space it's reports out a bit more. I will try to post my reports in between the QUA's and the RM can post anytime in the month. So there will always be something from us that is current for everyone.

Right now there are three different Tarentum-only competitions for you to participate in. One is Graphics and two are Fiction. Everyone should take a look at the other comps that are going on right now as well. There are 17 (!) other comps that are DJB Wide. There are serious chances at some great medals. You all like to be awarded for great work, right? I also bet you would like to get promoted sometime soon, correct? Well, the more active you are and the more competitions you participate in, the more likely a promotion is possible for you. Promotions are not magic. You do the work, you put in the time, you will be rewarded for it. Period. So by my next report, let's start making promotions and medals drop like rain, shall we?

Okay, this about wraps it up for me. I will be working on my report format in the future, so look for something a bit more fancy by my next report (I hope). I look forward to working with all of you to make Clan Tarentum a reality. Let's roll.
