Greetings all,

Welcome to the first of many Aedile reports from me. Most of you know me by now, but for those that don't, I'm currently your Aedile and also the Combat Master. I've served in just about every position in Taldryan and in the Brotherhood as a whole, including a stint as Aedile in Dinaari once before. If you've got any questions about the Clan or the club... don't hesitate to ask.

But many of you weren't around for the days when we were Dinaari before. And yet, it is all of your efforts that have brought us back to Dinaari. For that, I thank you.

When I heard Taldryan had been declanned with the rest of the Brotherhood, I was more than a little annoyed. I remembered more than a decade ago when Jarla had worked so hard to get Taldryan to a point where it could Clan. Back then, Taldryan almost never became a unit. Ektrosis was an independent House at a time when the Grand Master was pushing all units to Clan. In fact, Ektrosis nearly became a house in another Clanning unit (Naga Sadow and Arcona were both clanning at the same time). Jarla was able to rally enough interest, and a surprising victory in Great Jedi War 2 brought us the prestige we needed to in order to Clan. She didn't do it alone, though: She had a lot of help from a cadre of elite members in the Brotherhood, and some of them are with Taldryan to this day. We each used the Clanning of Taldryan to make our mark on the DB.

Anyway, enough of my rambling on ancient history. The point is this: A few of us made history once, helping to form Taldryan. Now, all of you have made it again, and now is your turn to really make your mark. So reach out if you have questions, make suggestions, and get involved. This is your house, and your Clan, and we're here to serve you.

Two New Taldrya
Due in no small part to their tremendous effort over the last couple years in finally having Taldryan realize it's dream of re-clanning, both our Consul and Clan Rollmaster have been granted Clan Titles, and are now part of the Taldrya. I can't think of any more deserving than Rian and Howlader. Without them, I'd likely not be here today; Howlader in particular has always been good about driving me to do more for the Clan and finding ways to help when I wasn't always the most eager, and all of us know how instrumental Rian has been in leading us.

Goings on in the Brotherhood
The Crusade's back! For those of you that signed up for the runon, your teams should be contacting you. For everyone else, there's a brand new plot update out (courtesy of our Voice), and it looks like we'll be engaging not just with the One Sith, but with the Imperial Remnant! All this is leading up to a Great Jedi War, where Clans will be pitted against one another and we'll have a chance to reassert our Clan's dominance once more.

Speaking of the Crusade... The next Crusade planet is going to feature an ACC event. The ACC is a fictional platform designed around writing duels and the like between two DB combatants. How's that going to work? You'll hear much more on that soon, but in the mean time, I highly suggest you qualify by heading on over to the SA. Begin with ACC Fundamentals, and move on from there! Seeing as how I'm Combat Master, this is kind of my baby right now... so if you guys have any questions, feel free to ask.

Things to Do
Diablo 3 just released it's Patch 2.0, which preceedes the upcoming expansion. While there are no DB comps related to it, many of our house members have been earning many a CF in D3 lately. If you've got D3, I highly suggest dusting it off to check out the new patch... and contact me in game at Zahir#1640.

Graphics:
Kaz and Mav's Crazy Graphics Extravaganza - Neither Kaz nor Mav have fancy graphics for their reports. They went in search of the best designers money could buy, but the credit system wasn't in place yet, so they sent an appeal to the Clan instead. This turned out to be fortuitous, for the Clan was very skilled in the dark arts of Photoshop, and many excellent submissions were sure to be had. Mav and Kaz were after things like image-dividers, headers, even signatures. Too drunk on D3 CFs, neither could properly operate the machinery to make their own imagery. Someone had to help them! You've got a month to do so. Don't let them down. Don't let these ugly reports continue! This competition is open to all of Taldryan!

Gaming:
Taldryan Gate Keeper Trials, March 2014 - An awesome new competition from our Clan summit, this competition pits members monthly against each other in competitive dueling games. Each month's most prolific gamer earns the honorary title of Gate Keeper! There was a time when Dinaari was known for it's gamers, and now's our chance to show the rest of the Clan we're ready to pick up where we left off!

Fiction-related comps:
Create an NPC - This Voice-sponsored competition allows you to design an NPC that will be used in canon fictionings and the like. Winning entries will get complete Wiki articles and NPC character sheets, along with yummy crescents and DSSes based on effort.

Taldryan Expansion Force Commissioning Ceremony - This is your chance to have a real impact on the lore and story of our Clan. A set of sub-competitions for naming our possessions, this is a suite of competitions designed at adding your mark to Taldryan's history through naming suggestions. Give it a whirl, it's worth it!

Something new and different (and worth checking out!):
Madness?! Madness!! - Our very own Kenath Zoron is running a March Madness competition. If you're into the NCAA, check it out!

What I'm Up to This Weekend
Weekends are the time when I get most of my time for the DB, but this coming week, my university is on Spring Break, so this "weekend" will actually extend into next week for me. Kaz, Decimo and I have all been bouncing around in D3 quite a bit, and I plan to continue that this weekend, maybe get my Barb to 60. I'm also going to be working with my Crusade Runon Team to get our posts going, and finally, I have a bunch of ACC work to do... as always. I also have some ideas for NPCs, but since I'm helping run that comp, I'll probably be saving them. Finally, I'm going to try to put together an NPC sheet for the DB NPC Dontella Novae.
