Big News

For those skimming, I will be stepping from Consul within the next month or so.

For those not, let me ramble. It has been just over a year since I took on the spot of Consul, originally as a temporary measure and then more permanently soon after. It’s been a hell of a year, with big events and setting up the future of Arcona’s plot line as well as all the other little bits, pieces, nibs and nabs that have occurred in between. I am really grateful to everyone for being patient with me, to the Arconae and my summit for always being there when I need them and to the other Consuls in the club, who were there for more specific requests and weirder discussions. I have had more support than I could have ever hoped to have and it truly made this so much easier than it could have been.

But over the last couple of months, I’ve started losing that tacky grip I’ve been touching everything with since I was first hired as Rollmaster some 3 years ago. I do not want to be the leader who sits in past my ability to do the job justice. While I could probably push on to the end of this year like I originally promised to myself, the clan would most likely suffer for it. Or I would in my real life forcing myself to give more than I have.

This has not been a hastily made decision, nor is it one I make lightly. Ultimately though, I believe it is the right call to make. So, I pass the throne to the next numpty. Bubtra will be posting up applications before all too long, so keep an eye out for that!

Adieu to the Selen Training Corp

It is with sadness that I announce this. The STC was my baby, created as the Rollmaster position was retired across the club to help cope with the large amount of new recruits we were receiving at the time. It was successful, most of those recruits still hanging around the Brotherhood somewhere or another. However it now sits very quietly with few needing such a direct point of attention. Should we ever need it again, I hope we will see it utilised as I do genuinely believe it played a vital role in our success for that group.

We are going to be reaching out to the remaining members of the STC to shift them around into the Houses, so be on the ball to welcome your new house-mates as they get comfortable.

If you are one of these members and we missed you somehow, reach out to us and we’ll get you sorted properly!

Seasons upcoming

A report will be coming out soon from Atra on the new club event, Seasons. These will not overdo any clan or house events but will provide Club Plot related competitions to run over a long span of time, for tasty low stress crescents. You can find out more information about Seasons in this DGM’s report and the Season’s Wiki page.

I’m pretty excited for them and I’m sure there’ll be plenty of hubbub when it comes out!

Has an event running!. Kick some pirate ass and help our buddies at the Severian Principate out while you do so!

Also give Luka a warm welcome as they hop over from the STC BTL position into the DM’s seat. It’s gotten a little cold, but not for long!

It’s that time again! Love is in the air among all the blaster fire and airborne Shistavanen fur. So buckle up and come play with romance out in a winter wonderland. Snow, cozying up to the campfire with moth eaten blankets and creaking wood boards. Enjoy!
