Introduction

Hello once more! You know, I said I was going to do new report graphics, but honestly? I 100% forgot until I started this report. So maybe next month. My Herald work has me busy, among other things, and general distractions. I do have a fiction for y’all though! Mostly due to the fact that our lovely Quaestor is joining us on his break from Summit… and decided to switch characters!

So without further stalling, let’s start this report.

Fiction

“Oh Turel…”

An uncharacteristic sigh was heard in the quiet office. Rhiann wasn’t quite sure why Turel had suddenly left Arcona. He had spoken before about family and something unexpected in his life, but she was unsure if this was part of his choice to leave. Maybe the war left him conflicted. The woman knew he couldn’t shake off the idea of going against the Jedi; the people that had taken him in and gotten him to knighthood.

It still didn’t make herself and Mirus very happy campers, though… and she was sure the rest of Arcona missed him as well. The Snowshoe cat stretched on the Apex leader’s desk as he wandered over and sat in front of her keyboard, impeding further work from being done.

There was a sudden sharp a knock on the door of her office when the finally re-settled cat let out a yowl before darting back to his bed, Rhiann startled from her own train of thought as she called out to the door.

“Come in.”

She wasn’t expecting what came next. The door opened and two large figures filed in. In the front was a battle hardened middle aged woman with white hair in a set of armor. Following her was a large Togorian, his fur resembling that of a Snow Leopard. There was a faint look of intimidation on the Sephi’s face as the two stopped before her desk, Rhiann having to straighten herself out and sit with her back straight on the chair.

“Templar Luna reporting in, commander.”

Rhiann’s eyebrows raised in curiosity as she leaned forward, resting an elbow on the table, her chin nestling into her hand. She knew she was expecting a new member due to asking for a combat medic aside from a single droid, but…

“Tybalt Erinos.” The Togorian said in greeting, his teeth showing off through a huge grin.

The cat jumped off the desk and headed for Tybalt, the large cat man picking up the Snowshoe cat in his one large hand, petting it with the other. Rhiann’s eyebrows stayed raised as she finally spoke. She sounded both surprised and curious.

“Welcome to Apex Brigade.”

Apex News

Competitions everywhere! Not only have the competitions I’ve been doing been helping us out with our own characters and droids, it’s ramping is up again for higher levels of competition. I’ll be talking about that later, though.

If you haven’t taken notice, I no longer have a Battleteam Sergeant. This is because Ernordeth has gone off to do bigger things as the Aedile of Galares. Congratulations, Ernor! We’ll miss you. In the meantime, I will not be filling the spot. I will consider it once we’ve become a bit more active.

Upcoming Projects/Things to Do

Still the same old. If anyone’s interested in helping me with the wiki stuff, feel free to drop me an e-mail!

Wiki Overhaul

I’d like to work on our wiki page for the Battleteam. It’s a bit short and I’d like to establish us more into the Arcona lore and history. Some of it might not be much at first, but the more and more we’re active, the more we can add! So this is more of an ongoing project.

Competitions

Competitions! These are always great things to have going. Since I’d like to help you guys do more character development, I’m launching some competitions on a more personal level for you guys or something you can be really invested in. I’m always open for ideas if there’s something you’d like to see in competitions.

The Happenings

Apex Battleteam/House Qel-Droma/Arcona Competitions

There will be a series of House related competitions starting in April. They’re going to be a homage to our home on the asteroid; Port Ol’val. Keep an eye out for it when they start and join in on the fun! And due to the set up, you can also put in your own comps. There’s an email floating around the mailer regarding it. Check it out!

Brotherhood Wide Competitions

While doing competitions within the Unit is good, it’s also a great idea to represent Arcona and Apex through Brotherhood wide competitions! Here’s a small sample of them.

There’s also a very special one day April Fools event for April 1st, of course! Consider giving it a shot.

In Closing

I said something about a picture. Er, well. Sorry! I was actually going to start a small series of 4-koma (4-panel comics) but work’s been eating my life lately. You can blame Easter.

So hopefully I either have that or new report graphics for you next month! Look forward to it and keep on being awesome, you guys.
