Applications Open for Quaestor of House Galeres

I am saddened to announce that Aldaric is stepping down from the role of Quaestor of House Galeres, in order to focus on real life events. He is a hard worker and a good guy, so I am sad to see him step out of leadership. He’ll still be around the DB, though, so be sure to wish him good luck on his new job when you see him!

Do you think you have what it takes to help lead Galeres? If so, then you’re in luck! We are holding applications club-wide, so here’s your chance to find out!

The Quaestor is expected to work closely with both the Arcona Upper Summit and the Aedile in order to plan events and shape the fictional direction of the House. The Quaestor will:

• Track activity within the House
• Help maintain steady activity among the membership
• Come up with comps and other fun things to help keep people engaged.
• Communicate personally with members of the House
• Fetch the Proconsul’s caf

What We’re Looking For:

• Someone who is reasonably active on Telegram, with a 24 hour turnaround time for all TG messages and emails.
• A willingness to lead by example by organizing/participating in at least 5 competitions per month.
• A willingness to work as part of a team.
• Previous leadership experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

• Examples of leadership (either IRL or in the DB) and what you have learned from them
• Any ideas you might have regarding the fictional direction of the unit in question
• Any long term projects you would like to tackle

The deadline for applications is January 19, 2020. We reserve the right to close applications early if we find the perfect candidates, so don’t delay!
