Welcome Back!

Here we are, once again. This time, with 150% more blue! Just kidding. I haven’t gotten any taller. Writing this report is a little bittersweet for me, which I’ll get into in a little more detail later on (Yep, you’ll have to read it to find out why) but ultimately I’m brimming with anticipation. And I know you are too, so I’ll just get right to it!

News

Brotherhood News

Quite a few things have happened Club wide that may affect you. Be sure to check them out.

• The latest update from your local Wally introduces CREATURES! That’s right! You can now have your very own pets! Also, there’s a nifty fiction for you to read that nicely sets the stage for the inclusion of all the cute little critters into the possessions system. Check it out if you have some free time!

• For the newest in gaming, be sure to check out the latest P:FIST Report where you can find all sorts of fun new gaming info, including info about Overwatch Workshop and Apex Legends if that’s a thing that interests you.

• In the newest report from the DGM, Vyr announces the winner(s) of the May the 4th competition and his retirement! Be sure to thank him for his many years of service across the DC and then read this report wherein our Grand Master awards his outgoing DGM with a promotion and announces his new ~underling~ DGM. Thank you Vyr for all you’ve done!

Clan News

• Since my last report, we have seen a rather significant shift in leadership. After Donny/Uji/Maaz/The Log stepped down from PCON, we’ve seen Rhylance move from HQD Quaestor to the PCON position with Lucine stepping into his shoes as QUA. Additionally, Tali has been selected as your newest HQD Aedile (Congratulektions again, to everyone’s favorite purple Twi’lek)! Finally, Qyreia has decided to step down from his role as Galeres’ Quaestor. Expect to see an announcement about his replacement in the very near future. If you haven’t had a chance to yet, congratulate our newest Clan leadership and wish them luck in their new roles as well as thanking those who have stepped down for the thing they have contributed to the Clan and the club.

• One more important announcement. As most (if not all) of you know, Q and I will be welcoming a little one into our family in about a month or so. With that being said, I don’t feel like I will have the time and energy to devote to giving you guys the quality leadership you deserve. Which is why my last day as your BTL will be May 31st. It will most definitely be a sad day to step away from my role here (as minuscule as it may be in the grand scheme of things), but I assure you I have the best interests of the battleteam in mind as I do so. I want to see this team continue to grow and thrive and I’m afraid I won’t be able to facilitate that anymore. I’ll still be around and plan on remaining a part of the team to the best of my abilities in the coming months, just not as your boss. If you’re interested in filling my shoes and taking over the reins, keep an eye out for a call for applications in the near future.

Competitions

• The Collective Flashbang: This competition, run by your friendly neighborhood Rollmaster, Zujenia, is a collection of flash games intended to assist our efforts in defeating the Collective! There are currently two sub-competitions running and two more in the pipe before the end of this beastly competition closes, so get those entries in!

• Alternate Futures: The Fall of Arcona: Run by our very own Edema, this competition implores you to write a fiction in which the Iron navy and Inquisitorius are tasked with destroying what remains of Arcona and eliminating all members. How does your character cope? Will they fight to their last breath or take shelter somewhere remote, hoping to live another day?

• Selen Defence - Battle Plan: You still have a little under two weeks to find a group and put together a battle plan to defend Selen from Battle Group Elysium! Defend the poor planet already suffering from pestilence and famine. Do your part!

What does color taste like?

It depends on the color. Red is somewhere between sweaty socks and old cheese, green is typically peach with a bit of something tropical mixed in, and yellow tastes a little different to everyone.

Which sock is your favorite?

I do love fuzzy socks with the little grippies on the bottom.

Would you wear it every day or rather go barefoot?

If I could get away with just staying on the Voidbreaker and not having to wear shoes and could just wear comfy socks all day I totally would. Except for bedtime. Anyone who wears socks to bed simply cannot be trusted.

Are clouds made of hippo farts?

It depends on the cloud. Some are. But not all. Warning signs include standing directly behind a hippo and a funny smell.

Lucine wants to know:

Is a hot dog a sandwich?

By the technical definition, I have to say yes. But I wouldn’t practically consider it one.

Any advice for those who want to try their hand at leadership?

Apply. Apply for everything you can and just give it your all. There will always be those above and around you willing to help you succeed and nobody is rooting for you to fail. You just have to do the thing and put in some effort.

Pants?

Yes. We should really make an effort to get our ~insufferable~ dearest Consul into some. ASAP.

What’s your favorite part of working with the redhead?

She’s too busy worrying about/updating her wardrobe to pay too close attention to what I’m doing at any one point in time.

So, um, A-are Voidbreaker crewmates allowed to reserve part of the ship for, uh... like... special - and possibly private - occasions, like say... uh... a movie night, or... or like, a-- a date, or something? No reason, er-- I mean-- totally asking for a friend. Eheh...

Absolutely. In fact, I would encourage it. Interpersonal relationships (romantic or otherwise) are very important for the psyche. Movie nights are an excellent idea.

Atty/Satsi asks:

So Blue, tell us about Lee and the ferret.

Eh heh. rubs back of neck While that is quite the personal matter, now that I’m stepping down, we’re pretty much officially a thing. There has not been any explicit hand-holding, but lots of fluffy snuggles and we’ll see where this thing goes.

Tali wants to know:

How is Lee taking the shift in leadership in her House?

Lee is actually sad to see Rhylance moving up. She sees him as a very competent person and leader and is sad to see him going, despite that he is moving up in the chain of command. She appreciated the opportunity to work for him and will miss his more direct supervision. That being said, she also appreciates Lucine’s strengths and how they play to the House’s advantage. Arguably more so than Rhylance’s and is excited to see the redhead excel in her new position. Finally, Lee has always seen tremendous potential in Tali. The woman has a strong head on her shoulders and an eye on the prize at all times. Lee is certain that Tali will do wonderful things in her coming tenure as Aedile.

Cawthren asks:

What do you think the three most essential skills to have are?

Personally, I believe stamina, survival, and empathy are the three that will get you the furthest in most situations. Most other skills are things that you can rely on others for, but when it comes down to it, these three will get you pretty far. That being said, just because I believe in these, doesn’t mean they necessarily reflect what Lee is good at. But those would be my picks.

For the last time, we’ve come to the close of my report here. It has truly been an honor to serve as your BTL and I wish each and every one of you the best in your future endeavors within the club and in the real world beyond your computers and phones.
