Hello, hello, hello!

Most of you already know of a handful of new appointments within Arcona leadership. Applications for Proconsul had closed and I’m pleased to mention that, well, all three applicants had been chosen!

Allow me to explain.

Alex Draconis(or Bograt) has been selected and has accepted the Proconsul. I’ve enjoyed working with Bograt while he had held the Voidbreaker BTL role and then House Qel-droma’s Quaestor seat, and believe he will be a great aid as we venture forth.

Around this time, Stres’tron’garmis, or Kord as we know him, had decided to step down as Quaestor of Galeres and retire. And Nevran also had resigned in order to focus on some life goals, which good luck with schooling! Thank you both, for maintaining Galeres and holding the fort there. Instead of opening applications, I decided to appoint Koda Kendis to lead our military house of defence as Gal’s Qua. Koda has past leadership experience and is a pretty swell guy, who I believe will mesh well with Galeres. In addition, Ruka Tenbriss Ya-ir/ Atty had agreed to fill Galeres' Aedile position to help Koda find his feet and assist with any training needed. They, along with Luka Zarkot heading the Dajorra Marshals, are starting to brew some exciting things in the near future.

I am quite excited for this opportunity, and look forward to working with you all as we progress forward!"

HQD Qua Applications Open

With Bograt advancing to the Proconsul position, there is now a vacancy for the House Qel-Droma Quaestor position. The leader of a house, the Quaestor assists in overseeing administration of their selective House(HQD) and overseeing the Aedile and Battleteam Leader beneath them. They are responsible for developing content for their members and managing said members.

Expectations:

  • Communication. A 24 hour response time on Discord and Emails. Some familiarity with report writing to write monthly Reports. Being willing and comfortable with working with the rest of the Clan Summit, membership, other clans and the Council.
    • Mediation: Lumping this in with communication as that’s a crucial part of mediation. Are you comfortable helping mediate any issues that may arise between members, summit, or with other clans’ members? Have you any experience doing so?
  • Recognition: Aid in awarding and promoting our members and fellow clan leaders beneath you.
  • Drive & Development: Required to develop the House storyline and events, creating activity and competitions for the House to engage with. Assisting/encouraging the Battleteam leader to do the same. Teamwork in leadership is crucial! Work together to build the stories you wish to unleash.
    • Be an active presence, not just in competitions but in our channels whether text, voice chats/hangouts, emails, roleplays or casual chatter. Be the example of the activity we want to encourage.

Application Requirements:

There is no minimum rank or experience required. Having some experience with clan leadership is preferred but not required, we’ll assist with learning the ropes for any newer member who applies. However, experience or familiarity with Arcona and House Qel-Droma is a plus. Explain what type of leader you will be and approaches you would take to meet the responsibilities of the role. Share a bit about yourself! Are there any plans you would like to implement or tackle?

Note: one does not need to pass any courses linked above, it is just recommended to familiarize oneself with them if not already.

Arconan Census

We’ve had a dozen or so responses for our survey, but would like to hear from more of you yet! If you can take a couple minutes and fill this out, that would be greatly appreciated. It focuses on what activities you enjoy doing. It also inquires on whether there is any barriers keeping members from doing things they want to try or enjoy, and if there is anything you would like and permit leadership to assist in breaking through those barriers. Things such as tagging on discord or dming about activities of interest, and more. And of course, I would like to hear about any suggestions or concerns. Thank you kindly to anyone that participates.

Event Calendar

April 4th: First Clan Mission RP

The Dajorra Asteroid Belt encircles the system, a field of giant floating rocks all stocked up high with minerals and ores prime for ship construction. There’s mining operations out there, mostly legal and under the Zainab Mining Enterprise. And the others? Well, the corporation doesn’t take kindly to those hijacking their resources.

But that’s not why a small crew of individuals is heading into the maze of rock today. No, they’re simply out there to do a maintenance check on the transceivers and crucial surveillance equipment, both security and astrometrics…

That’s just a sneak peak into the first of the monthly small team clan RPs. Now some details on how these are going to work. Each rp will be locked at 4 members max. We’ll be opening it up to newer rpers first(Envoy Ranks 1-5), then Envoy Ranks 6-10, before finally ranks 11 & 12. Folks who have not yet participated in one of these as we go along will be preferred over those who have, and ideally we’ll be able to cycle through and get everyone a fair amount of chances to hop into these.

I’m eager to see how these go and hope you all have fun. Any questions or concerns, hit me up.

April 11th: Clan event!

“I will keep this short as I suspect we won’t be alone much longer. If Citlali’s expressed interest in meeting with some of your foreign connections is humored, it would be of Naruba’s interest,” Ix Pachari, the Rep. of Naruba City for Selen’s Board of Supervisors and now a member of the Trustees’ Committee, paused to level an emphasizing look at her, implying Arcona’s interests were one in the same. The many banks and corporations were still under the Clan’s thumb, and thus the leaders of which had elected Ix, “for myself to accompany. After the events on Dandoran, it would be ideal to strengthen and rebuild our trade relations with them. We are, in fact, far closer to the Principate than their other connections, from my understanding. Having a resource for materials and goods nearby must be ideal for them.”

Diyrian listened closely with a suppressed smile. Something about the fellow trying to wave an air of experience over her, which he did have in surplus compared to her relative short stint in politics. It was humorous though, for him to think that she, or at least the advisors in her summit, hadn’t already considered this move.

“I was planning on the same. Surely we can arrange such discussions.”

“Excellent. Further matters—”

“Pardon me for intruding, mind if I join the pair of you?” Akna Citlali, representative of Estle City and the freshly minted Superintendent or Speaker of the Freeholder Assembly, came to a stop beside them. “I hope I was not interrupting anything.”

“Not at all, I was just sharing with our Principal Trustee and head of Dajorra’s Security here of possible signs of trespassing in the asteroid belt that the Zainab Mining Enterprise has discovered,” A glance from Pachari communicated that truly was a conflict to be looked into soon. He looked back to his longtime peer and colleague. “I believe there’s details to work out about meeting with the Severian Principate, yes?”...

Hope you enjoy that sneak peak. There’s been some shake up in the local system’s government, and with that comes some new faces and growing pains. Get ready to embrace a more public front for the Clan all the while maintaining some strings still in the dark. It’s time to cozy back up to our neighbors, the Severian Principate.

May 5th: [Season 1] Parabellum Cycle 2 Begins

The second cycle of Season 1 begins on May 5th and ends July 27th! We’ll discuss more on this when it gets closer. Quite curious to see what this longer cycle will have in store!
