A Message from the Consul

Hello, darlings! Welcome to another fun and exciting report from your favorite Consul and Proconsul!

It’s been an interesting few weeks, both for the DJB and our Clan. From a Clan standpoint, the Deep Waters Rising event has concluded! Congratulations to Qyreia, Kord and Zuza for their top three placements! Also, thanks to everyone who participated in the event. Keep your eyes open for the ending fiction, which will be out just as soon as RL gives me a chance to breathe.

From a club standpoint, we have had a few big events in the form of the nomination for a new Justicar and a proposal for new amendments to the Covenant. Both of these processes are vital for the continued health of our club, so it's important to understand what's happening with them.

It has certainly been a whirlwind few weeks! As always, if you have any questions about what’s happening, you are always welcome to reach out, either to Aiden or myself, or to anyone in your chain of command.

A Message from the Proconsul

Hey guys, hope your March has been going well.

I wanna give a big shout out to all of the participants of the Clan Event! You guys are all awesome. Participation in club and clan events goes a long way to promoting the health of Arcona, so you are all appreciated!

With the changes in the DC lineup, shout out to our new GM, DGM, and Herald, we can expect great new things in our clubs future. I look forward to experiencing that with all of you.

Remember that you are all amazing, and Lucine and I are here if you guys need us!

Congrats to Kaled and Zuza, the newest JM4s! So proud!

Now onto why I’m here!

Arcona runs on its people, you all are the lifeblood of the Clan. We have shown amazing resilience and determination the entire eight years I’ve been here because we are not just a Clan, but a community. But, communities need injections of tasty new blood….that metaphor fell apart.

We need more people! Good people! People you like!

Like your friends! Or those who share similar hobbies that could become friends.

As such, I’d like to discuss a powerful tool in all of our arsenals, the oft-overlooked ‘Recruitment Link’ option.

It looks like that. You can find it under your Administration options, amongst many other things.

What it does: It allows you to generate a link that you can share with people (or put up on Social Media hint hint) that will lead potential new members to a ‘breakdown’ of club activities. Mind you, I’ve found that talking about these things with people with shared interests leads to a higher chance of joining (Hi, Grot, Tali, Zuza :P), and sharing examples of your works of fiction and art can go a long way to intrigue people!

What it also does: It automatically sorts your recruit to the Clan, so as to avoid any issues in the joining process, which also gets you credit for their recruitment when they hit a certain rank (tasty scrolls)!

This is a valuable resource for building Arcona, and we always love new faces, don’t we? Now is a great time to bring a friend into the fold!

Arcona News

• As mentioned above, the Deep Waters Rising clan event is officially completed! Congratulations to Qyreia for taking first place, with Strong in second place and Zuza in third. And thank you to everyone who took the time to participate!
• All of the matches are done! As we wait for the judging to be completed, I wanted to say well done to all the Arconans who went out and represented in SARLACC. You all rocked it, and I am super proud!

DB Wide Updates

• We have a new GM and DGM! Evant has assumed the role of Grand High Muckety-muck (or GM, if you prefer), with Dacien/Bubba as his Deputy Grand High Muckety-muck (or DGM, if you prefer). Be sure to read all about Evant’s nefarious plans and schemes, as well as Bubba’s first report.
• Idris has rolled out a fiction update covering the current fictional events in the club. It’s full of good stuff, so be sure to give it a read!
• We have a new Herald, and it’s none other than Alaisy! That’s right, the Shiny Sith has made her move, right into the seat of power that is the DC. Be sure to congratulate her if you haven’t already!
• For those of you who missed it, the Electorate recently voted on an amendment to the Covenant. You can read more about it here.

• The Shadow Lady has recently gone on a shopping spree, and as a result, we have new ship assets. Which means now it’s time to name them, in the IFF Identification competition!
• Hey, Galerians! The Eldar: Second Contact, the next phase in the Eldar saga, is live!
• Hey Qel Dromans! Are you looking for neat stuff to do? Face of the Enemy and They did the Kessel run in what? is just for you!
• Aru, Kaled and Zuza have brought us an Annual Podracing Championship series. It’s a lovely parcel of podracing comps, and you should check them out!
• There’s also more DIA Security competitions! This time, Kord has come up with a puzzle and a member hunt for your entertainment.
