A Message from the Consul

Hello, darlings, and welcome to another report!

I wanted to start off by thanking all of you for your well wishes during my absence last month. I am pleased to report that both my family and myself have recovered. All of your messages of support truly warmed my icy heart and helped speed my recovery. I am grateful to all of you.

The next war is on the horizon! If you aren’t in our War chat already, make sure that you reach out to a member of the Summit so that we can add you! Once the war begins, be sure to keep your eyes open for any news or updates. And if you don’t have a pic of your avatar rocking the highly fashionable #ShadesWorn glasses, let us know and we’ll get you hooked up!

A Message from the Proconsul

Hey all, I hope you're doing well in this weird and stressful time. Many things are currently out of our control. But our time in this club is under ours. Do the most you can with that.

I have been greatly impressed by everyone's recent efforts, whether in competitions or the RP events. I cannot wait to see what comes next for everyone.

With the upcoming War, I just want to say, pace yourself, get your BINS in, and do your best! That's all we can ask of you!.

Arcona News

• I am also blown away by your performance in the Tenixir Prison Break event. Well done to all of you! And a special congratulations to Atty (1st place in the overall), Sera (2nd place), and Qyreia, Strong and Tali (threeway for 3rd place! Woo hoo!). In fact, Arconans walked away with 8 of the 10 top spots. Well done, everyone!

• Following the tragic destruction of the Voidbreaker, the battleteam has acquired a new ship to replace it. Don’t you just love the new ship smell?

DB Wide Updates

• Important information regarding gaming and the war! Be sure to give it a read here in the latest Fist report
• We have a new Headmistress! Be sure to congratulate Ciara on her new role! And she’s clearly not one to waste time, as she has already produced a report!
• New hires! More stuff to buy! Read all about it in the Regent’s report.
• Our new Combat Master has a new report out, where he introduces himself and explains his future plans for the ACC.
• Look! We have a new faction! You can read all about them in the Voice report. And also be sure to congratulate Sera on his new position as M:Voice!

Jobs!

• Are you interested in helping out the Justicar? If so, then applications are open for the Left Hand of Justice. Applications are due by May 15.
• Meanwhile, over in the Shadow Academy, there are currently positions open for a Praetor, two Magistrates and a Professor. The details for all of these positions can be found here.

Competitions

This month we will not be featuring any comps here. Instead, we want to let you all know that with the upcoming war, it is both ok to, and advised that you take a break from comps for a week or two. War comps will be more difficult and have a higher labor output, so we do not want anyone burned out before they get a chance to begin.

• Karran asks:

  • For Red, Is there any chance we can keep the Skitters off the new ship?
    • Lucine: “Statistically, anything is possible, darling. Although our new Direction of the DIA is the person you should be talking to about that.”
  • Also for Red, Do you think you can keep your oversized lapdog on a shorter leash?
    • Lucine: “Which oversized lapdog are you talking about?”
  • For Grey, Do you like sparring?
    • Aiden: “If you feel my match, then yes, I will always be down for some sparring.”
  • Also for Grey, What are your thoughts about your predecessor?
    • Aiden: “While an intelligent asset, I think a battle-hardened mind is needed over a scientist.”
  • Also also for Grey, What are your thoughts about your boss?
    • Aiden: “It is clear that she loves her Clan, and as long as that stays the same, I hold her in high regard.”

• Alaisy has a few questions:

  • When and how are we going to get hyped for the next war?
    
    • Lucine: For right now, we are encouraging people to take a breather and focus on the competitions that they enjoy. But the war hype is already beginning! #ShadesWorn4Lyfe
    • Aidan: “Solidarity will be important. We all need to care, and I plan on focusing on getting our hearts on the War.
  • What do both of you think about the new Pirate Faction?
    
    • Lucine: I think the Revenants sound like a neat faction, and I am looking forward to utilizing them in my plans. Mwahahaha.
    • Aidan: I’m undecided. We shall see how these pirates interact with the DB lore.
  • Between the Principate and Revenants, who'd you pick to side with?
    
    • Lucine: Given that we are trying to solidify an alliance with the Principate, I would lean more toward them. Still, one should always be open to the opportunity for new friendships.
    • Aidan: At this point in time, the Principate. Things are simply too new with the Revenants. But I think we can all agree that the Collective sucks eggs.
  • Any big upcoming Clan developments?
    
    • Lucine: Right now, we’re evaluating our schedule of future events to make sure we come up with something that doesn’t lead to member burnout. But yes, plans are in the works!
    • Aidan: We have ideas, but a lot depends on how the war goes and timing.
  • Have there been any attempts on your lives recently?
    
    • Lucine: “One or two, but nothing to write home about. The DIA and the Citadel guard have been doing an excellent job!”
    • Aidan: “I haven’t had any, I guess people just like me”
  • If you could invite any of your favorite musical bands over to the new Concert Club Sub Ol'val, who would it be?
    
    • Lucine: “Oooh, that is an excellent question! Do you think you could get the Max Rebo Band? They are not specifically my cup of tea, but I hear that they are popular among certain lower-class circles.”
    • Aidan: “I’m hoping for more unknown musicians. Good luck to them all.”
  • Do you want me to make you any effigy's in their honor?
    
    • Lucine: “Shall we discuss this further over tea?”
    • Aidan: “Only the Balance deserves that honor.”

• Kordath asks:

  • War? WAR? How we looking for the rumored War?
    
    • Lucine: WAHR! I don’t know about you, but I am ready and raring to go!
    • Aidan: We have a strong group with us whom I cannot wait to see how they do!
  • Can Lucine come out and play? Is Aiden ready to give her a night off? The weekend?
    
    • Lucine: “Of course! But what do you mean by Aiden giving me a night off?”
    • Aidan: “Of course I will give her the night off.”
  • Is the throne comfy? I couldn't help but notice some credit account expenses concerning down padding and silk coverings, I'm assuming that's for the Throne...
    
    • Lucine: “The throne is not the most comfortable seat in the Dajorra System, but it has other benefits that more than make up for it. As for the padding and silk coverings…. Er…. yes. Yes they were for the Throne. We will go with that.”
    • Aidan: “Not my throne, not my problem.”
  • Any exciting new prospects for the Clan's fictional future after the Prison break event?
    
    • Lucine: Yes, the new faction could very well make things interesting!
    • Aidan: I’m highly looking forward to expanding Selen and what our world has to offer!
  • * Either of you check out the new Host Club on Ol'val? I hear its got legs on it.*
    
    • Lucine: “Not yet, but I am thrilled that Port Ol’val is developing some culture!”
    • Aidan: “I haven't but I’m told I need to relax and go there.”

    • Aidan: Of course. Everyone, just do your best!

  • For Lucine, fashion advice for Sera? Brutal honesty only
    • Lucine: “Of course I am willing to give you some fashion advice! We will make a day of it, perhaps do some shopping!”
  • What’s her morning routine? Nightly rituals?
    • Lucine: “Sorry, darling. I make a point not to divulge my usual routines. A lady has to have some secrets!”
  • Is she missing Rhylance terribly, or is she taking consolation in the hammer?
    • Lucine: “I will admit that I am missing Rhylance significantly more than I had anticipated.”
  • What’s one lesson of leadership that she would pass on to her Battleteam leaders?
    • Lucine: Too often we can get caught up in the super-serious business of being in leadership, and it’s easy to lose sight of why we do this in the first place: to have fun, and to create a fun environment for others. So, that’s my advice. Don’t forget why we’re here. ^_^
  • Is she gonna indulge in the Voidbreaker-pleasure yacht?
    • Lucine: “Well of course, darling! I suspect that regular inspections will be required.”
  • Any nice restaurants to recommend on Selen?
    • Lucine: “Oh, so many. I will have Tabriss forward you my most recent list of favorite restaurants.”
  • For Aiden, What’s he think of this den of depravity that he’s been assigned to lead?
    • Aidan: Aiden loves Arcona, they saved him. Anything he can do to better the Clan he will.
  • Any Chance he’ll give Sera duel-wielding lessons?
    • Aidan: “I look forward to teaching you the saber arts”

    • Aidan: “Wait...what happened on my desk?”
