A Message from the Consul

Hello, darlings! Welcome to another report! We are on the brink of the next Rite of Supremacy. For those of you who don’t know, a Rite of Supremacy is a club-wide event, where clans compete against one another. If you want to learn more, I recommend that you take a look at the SA course about Vendettas.

This is a great time to learn more about the club-wide storyline, and perhaps even take part in it! Participation and turning in quality entries to competitions for placement are the best way that you can distinguish yourself in events like these!

If you aren’t already, make sure you are in the Arconan War Chat. If you aren’t, reach out to someone in your chain of command, and we’ll get you added!

A Message from the Proconsul

Hello to all!

The Rite of Supremacy is nearly upon us.

It will be a time of camaraderie for Arcona. And truly a massive competition for the whole club. All that I can ask of you, our loyal members and friends, is to do your best, and to do what you can. While this is a big deal for the Clan, you still need to take care of your RL things as well.

Outside of the RoS, big things are coming down the pipeline for our Clan. I would remind all of you that if you haven’t already, it may be a good idea to get ACC Qualified!

• Zuza has a couple of questions:

  • Should we be concerned by the presence of another scientist with ethics matching your own?
    
    • Lucine: “So long as he proves himself to be a useful asset, I am not overly concerned.”
      
    • Rhylance: “Of course not. All science conducted on Selen is held to a standard of ethics that is well documented.”
      
  • Lucine, Did you have fun at the festival? Apparently you took part in some face painting!
    
    • Lucine: “There were aspects about the festival that I definitely enjoyed. And yes, though the practice still mystifies me, I got a small, fiery bird painted on my face.”
      
    • Rhylance: “The festival was...interesting to say the least.”
      

• Laika wants to know:

  • What kind of facilities can be found in your collegiate, and how would I access them and (presumably) its archives?
    
    • Rhylance: “We have many levels of R&D, as numerous testing facilities for any instance you may require. Ask and you shall receive. We are always happy to have a new mind as enlightened as your own among us.”
      
  • What secret/clandestine discrete facilities might be available to me outside the boundaries of the Consulate's legal perimeter?
    
    • Lucine: “It is cute that you believe there are any secrets that I am not privy to.”
      
    • Rhylance: “We shall talk more privately on this matter, lest the...uninitiated take pause with our work.”
      

• Atty has a bunch of questions!

  • So Atty still gets to officiate, right? Who's in the wedding party? What about the venue, the menu, the seating?
    
    • Rhylance: “I shall defer to Lucine on this matter. Though, a wedding does seem a ways off, I would imagine.”
      
    • Lucine: “Honestly, I was thinking about a more private affair. But yes, we are a long way off from a wessing.”
      
  • How long do you think it's gonna be before Ruka gets asked to do something Bad and has to break that oath? Just assuming here :P though Lucine is smarter than all that...
    
    • Rhylance: “Lucine possesses a vast wealth of knowledge. It is one of her more desirable traits.”
      
    • Lucine: “Let us not forget that Ruka was contemplating suicide rather than dealing with his guilt. It should also be noted that I did not force Ruka to give his oath of fealty, he chose to do so because he felt he needed to make amends. If he chooses to break his oath, then I shall know what his words and his honor is worth.”
  • If Ruka returns Aru a little bit pulverized, would that be okay? He really needs to shape up anyway, terrible terrible Aedile IC, drunk on missions, harassing people, trying to transfer AAF forces around to punish them for arresting his friend (bringing in a friend who will publicly assault citizens, damaging Lucine's reputation).
    
    • Lucine: “I do not micromanage. If an Aedile of mine cannot handle himself in a fight, I am not going to punish the one who chose to make it apparent.”
      
    • Rhylance: “We need all able bodies in top shape for the coming conflicts.”
      
  • Would Rhylance like to come on a spa day with Lucine and Cora? Would Tabriss?
    
    • Lucine: “Tabriss will likely be there out of duty, though it is unlikely that he will choose to partake in the spa amenities.”
      
    • Rhylance: “No. I do not see the purpose in such activities.”
      
  • Painting rocks, a new Arconan holiday tradition? Eh? Eh?
    
    • Rhylance: “A quaint ritual, if I have ever heard one.”
      
    • Lucine: “No.”
  • What are each of your character's thoughts on the factions these days? On Evant as GM? You know, RoS-plot centric stuff.
    
    • Lucine: “Opportunities abound, it seems.”
      
    • Rhylance: “Rhylance could really care less. He cares mostly for his ability to research. Anyone standing in his way will be eliminated.”
      

• Zappius asks:

  • What are you both looking forward to participating most of all in the RoS?
    
    • Lucine: The fiction. I want to write ALL the words!
      
    • Rhylance: Seeing the progression on the Club Story and how all our members do in it.
      
  • Can I add you both to my list of Arconans I need to fight in the ACC after the vendetta?
    
    • Lucine: Yes. 100% yes!
      
    • Rhylance: We shall have a rematch at some point!
      

• The Log asks: When did Lucine start getting second billing? Is someone about the step down? :P

  • Rhylance: It is merely the best ship name we could come up with. No need to read further into it.
    
  • Lucine: Luline sounds like a brand of overpriced yoga attire. Rhycine has always been the ship name.
    

• Sera asks:

  • * Juice?*
    
    • Lucine: “Yes, please.”
      
    • Rhylance: “Depends on the substance the juice comes from.”
  • Will there be blueberry donuts at the reception?
    
    • Lucine: “Well, I do like blueberry donuts…”
      
    • Rhylance: “If that is what Lucine wishes...wait...reception?
  • How're diplomatic efforts with the Principate going? Sera's friendly, could send her off as an emissary.
    
    • Lucine: “Be careful, darling. I may take you up on it. Though I wonder if Sera is ready for the brutal and cutthroat world of politics.”
      
    • Rhylance: “Baiting the waters with Arconan blood is not something I would advise at this juncture.”
  • What do Lucine and Rhylance think of the ongoing problems on Eldar? Any particular opinion on how the Gal-Summit is handling things?
    
    • Lucine: “It appears that things are well in hand.”
      
    • Rhylance: “So long as those problems do not transfer to Selen, I am content with the handling.”
  • Which variation on our new dress uniforms do you prefer?
    
    • Lucine: “Ugh… uniforms. So dull. But if I must choose, I prefer the white version.”
      
    • Rhylance: “Black is a color that suits me best, though, the hat is an unnecessary addition.”
  • Plans for how we're gonna go treasure hunting in the RoS?
    
    • Rhylance: “The gains that Arcona acquires shall be handled appropriately.”
    • Lucine: “I prefer to focus on how we are going to spend the proceeds.”
      
  • How come Sera's drinks always taste funny when Rhylance is around?
    
    • Lucine: “Yes, Rhylance. Why is that?”
      
    • Rhylance: “I do not know of what you speak.”
  • Vacation plans for the summer?
    
    • Lucine: None at this time! I tend to be spur-of-the-moment when it comes to planning these things.
    • Rhylance: Going to Cedar Point yo!
