Welcome to the first of hopefully many reports in 2016! (Yes I accidentally typed 2015 first)

Let me start with a little insight in my personal life in this new year:

I’ve finally started a new job last monday and as of such I’ll be slightly limited in my DB time as I settle into work. Don’t worry, I’ll still be as available and accessible to you, I might just reply a bit slower to things as you’re used to though.

As you can probably judge from this report’s title, there’s a lot of stuff going on so let’s dive straight into it!

First up, Captain Arcona: Civil War just ended, without spoiling any placements or numbers, I think I can say it’s been a great success with a huge amount of entries and participants. Whilst I’ve not ran any competitions for it, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for all the effort and time put into this. It’s a great thing for me as your Battle Team Leader to see that nearly every single one of you participated in it and it just goes to show that we’re currently a healthy unit. Compared to the team’s activity from before I took over we’ve come a long way and I’d like to keep that momentum going.

With that said, it’s time to talk about things that you guys can do!

First and foremost I’d like to bring your attention to Fall of Perdition, if this sounds unfamiliar to you go read Uji’s report here and come back once you’ve done so.

Fall of Perdition, the follow up from Fall of S.C.E.P.T.E.R. As you can read in Uji’s report, the time has come for us to strike against Perdition and once and for all defeat them and show them who we are.

The competition can be found here and I expect the same level of enthusiasm and activity for it as for CA:CW and Fall of S.C.E.P.T.E.R

Next up I’d like to bring your attention to a competition being ran by myself and Sashar.

It Takes Two: Preparation

First of all, thanks for the 5 of you who’ve already signed-up and are currently paired, I’m excited to see what you come up with! For those of you who haven’t, fear not, it’s not too late to participate! Signing up is still possible!

I advise those who are still willing to sign-up to sign up as a pair (either with someone from the team or from the Clan). This because signing up solo will either result in you writing on your own or having to wait for another person to sign up solo.

A little info about the prompt:

In this first part of a two part competition you'll be training with your paired member, exploring each others weaknesses and strengths, trying to solve any probable personality clashes etc, this all in preparation for an upcoming (fictional) Clan event.

Now for a new format of fiction competition, which I’ve mentioned in the BT TG Group before and I’m personally pretty excited for: Open Fiction This is a great opportunity to let your imagination run wild and write about your character and the team in whatever way you want. Uji’s mentioned that winning fictions will be highlighted in reports and I’m more than open to perhaps incorporate some of the entries or ideas into Soulfire canon.

Another competition I’d like to advertise to you all is one ran by our very own Kaiburr!
Chronicler of Arcona This competition requires you to do little out of the ordinary to participate, perhaps a little more effort for some of you to place and perhaps win. It’s part of the Society Stimulation Package, a concept to promote every society the DJB offers, on a monthly rotation. This month, the Inquisitorius. Simply subscribe and earn yourself Clusters of Ice this month to have a shot at placement! On top of this completed ACC contracts earn you two points, on top of however many clusters you earn from the fight itself.

Also still running is Arcona Gaming Dominance I’ve just finished running and grading the first 4 weeks of this 8 week long competition, and our other Galerian BTL Rulvak will be in charge of the next 4 weeks. For any of you gamers, if there’s a game specific competition that you want to participate in, I’m available for all but Star Craft 2.

Finally a little shameless self bump, with only 3 days to go and no submissions yet, this might be an easy way to net yourself a crescent! Adult Holo Star! Have you always been wanting to create your own Adult Holo Star? I know I have….(Don’t look at me like that!) Have a look at the competition details for the specifics, but depending on how much effort you want to put in it, this can be a quick and easy competition to do!

As said in my last report, the unit seems to be in excellent health! Again, thank you all for everything that you do, we wouldn’t be the same without every single one of you.

I know I’ve mentioned a Battle Team RO in chat and reports a few times, and this is still going to happen, it’s just with everything else going on in Arcona and the Brotherhood as a whole I don’t want you guys to spread yourselves too thin. That said, I’m currently looking into running an RO for a long period of time, this way we can have a slow paced story that can be unofficially put on hold whilst we all are able to participate in other competitions.
