Clan News

Our main announcement concerns Battleteams. For a few weeks now, we have had a poll running, asking what team everyone would like to be in and who is interested in being a member of a Battleteam. We received a solid number of participants. Furthermore, recent indicators have shown that we have plenty of untapped leadership potential, both new and old. As such, we have decided to open two additional Batteteams - one in each House. The Night Raptors will be reactivated for House Marka Ragnos, and Sapphire Squadron will be reactivated for House Shar Dakhan. We will be placing members in the teams they have indicated shortly.

In addition, we are now officially opening applications for Leader of these teams to members of Clan Naga Sadow. Applications will be open until the 11:59 EST on the 24th of April. If you wish to apply, we suggest that you check the wiki page for what is required of a Battleteam leader. As this is a starting-level position, we will accept applications in any format. However, you must tell us why you would be a good choice for this position, a list and description of any ideas you have for the team you apply for, and anything else you feel that we should know. One thing that we must require is that you are able to get on IRC at least a few times a week, and have an email turnaround time of 48 hours.

After completing your application, please email it to the appropriate House Summit and CC us (Locke and Cethgus). For the Night Raptors, the House Summit are Sanguinas Entar and Maelous Ascarend. For Sapphire Squadron, the House Summit is Galleros Sjl and Inarya Entar.

We wish you good luck on your applications, and are excited to see what we receive.

In addition, we recently established a mission statement for CNS, which is currently the Clan's description on our Clan Roster page. This is a broad, fictional statement of the Clan's general objectives that we feel is a firm foundation for future storylines and fictional development. It is:

The objective of Clan Naga Sadow is to further the ideals of the Sith Lord, to safeguard his legacy, and to expand the influence of his empire.

Additionally, we have released the first official Clan fiction update, and have more on the way. It can be found HERE.

This fiction update mostly shows how Locke became Consul and met Cethgus, but also how we revealed ourselves to the citizens of our system. This is a big step and huge shift in the way we usually operate, as in the past we have mostly stayed in the shadows and used puppet governments to rule. This will be further expanded on in the next update.

Upcoming Things!

As you have gathered from our reports by now, we are still looking at a joint event in the future so please keep checking your inbox and making sure that you keep an eye out for upcoming news on this matter. The joint event will be with Clan Scholae Palatinae and I am sure that all of you will be ready to get involved in it. This will be the Clan's main event for May, as we work with CSP, both in character and out.

Q&A with the CON and PCON

As with every report, we put a call out for questions to be answered. Below is a selection of questions and answers from this Q&A

Muz Asks: With the coming advent of clans being able to choose multiple paths (light, neutral, dark), what direction will the clan go? With Mav's comments, what sort of fictional background will we need to start laying for that to become an eventual possibility without presenting a shock to the clan lore?

In recent memory, Naga Sadow has always been a fairly neutral Clan. Despite our namesake, and some rather dark-side oriented stories in the past, many of our members and leaders have been more toward the center of alignment, rather than very dark or very light. We cannot say for certain, as many things are still being hashed out, but currently, CNS is looking like a Clan that will be a combination of dark and neutral. As for our fictional background, the important thing there will be to ease the Clan lore into not being too 'dark' in our goals, but to retain our heritage and keep in mind our namesake.

Roxas asks: What are the future plans the summit is working on for CNS involving possessions, and the story line?

Currently, we do not know a lot of specifics about Possessions, because the Dark Council is keeping that pretty close to their chest. We have seen a lot of personal items and pieces of equipment mentioned in public reports, but there is still much that has not been revealed. We do anticipate having the potential to purchase some awesome things for the Clan once Possessions goes live and credits begin to mean something, but for now we just have to wait and see.

Sang asks: What plans do you have for CNS over the next year? Fictionally and event wise.

This is a good question, but also a very broad one. I won't clog up this report with a huge list or reveal too much, but we're generally interested in figuring out solidly what CNS' goals are fictionally and reaching toward them in a meaningful way. Our Clan mission is fairly broad, and allows us a lot of leeway. In addition, working with other units is always something we are interested in, however this will not be something we do all of the time, because we want to have time for our own Clan stuff as well.

Summit’s Thoughts

Locke - We've really had an awesome time since our previous report, even though that was a fairly short time ago. I've seen a lot of promotions come through my inbox, especially from newer members, and that's always great to see. Both Houses have their own events underway, and planning is going well for our joint event with CSP. It's great to be able to see so much activity just in the brief time since our previous report, and that really shows us that you guys are interested and that we have an engaged community in CNS. We just had our first Conclave in awhile today, and had a good turn out. We also got to see the views of a lot of different members of the Clan and everyone has a unique and interesting view point to offer. I think it'll only continue to get better, and I can't wait for May and beyond to see how we evolve as a group.

Cethgus - With my time to go to sea coming up, I would like to say that I have seen the Clan grow and so far start towards the path of being as strong as we once were. All of us walking down this path to make change still have a long way to go but I can say that we have made a very strong start, you should all be proud of the work that you have done, I would like to send my personal thanks to all of the newer members, jumping in at the deep end and getting straight into the work load this is something that continues to see us progress as a unit and look towards the future. I want all of us to walk this path to bettering ourselves and Clan Naga Sadow, it won’t be easy and it never is, but I'm sure that we can make it work as a team so lets keep digging deep and driving forward.
