Hey guys! Welcome to our first report as Consul and Proconsul. We've got a surprising amount of stuff to cover. We're going to start with News, broken down into Brotherhood news and Clan news, and then we will go through medals, competitions, and our Q&A from last night.

First of all, in light of the recent announcement by our Grand Master, we are extending the application deadline for House Shar Dakhan Quaestor and Aedile applications until Sunday night at 11:59 GMT, which is about 6pm EST. We are, of course, removing the WhatsApp requirement entirely. This is to ensure everyone has a fair shot at the positions.

News:

A lot has happened in the Brotherhood recently. You probably noticed, but Muz has stepped down after serving as Grand Master for six years. Pravus has taken his place. In addition, Taigikori has stepped down from Justicar, and Jac has taken over that role. We've already seen a lot of changes from Pravus, and we have linked his report below, as well as some other recent important Dark Council reports.

Upcoming Things!

Well as you probably know we have a lot of work ahead of us, which is why in this report we are asking for a few volunteers these people will be involved in heavy wiki work over the next few weeks on helping develop certain aspects of Clan Naga Sadow. So with that being said if you want to get involved into a solid amount of project work for NS please email us as soon as possible, we will take this on a first come first serve basis and will be looking for a limited number of people to start with so get emailing both of us and we can go from there!

Expect to see a few competitions released in the near future, while we prepare for a small to medium Clan event that will take place after that.

Communication

We have recently begun using a couple of different forms of communication that are new to CNS, but that we believe will make things easier for members to talk to each other and for information to get around. We have both a WhatsApp group for general Clan discussion and a Twitter account for the Summit, for us to communicate on a more frequent basis and to answer any questions you may have more easily. So far, WhatsApp has been a great medium for our members and us to talk and interact with one another, whether it is just talking for fun or Brotherhood related. However, with Whatsapp, there are some important things to remember.

With communication comes some ground rules. Simply put, you will have access to other numbers on this form of communication. That being said being in the group means you can talk to them there, We are open to whatsapp messages anytime and welcome members talking to us, though this is not the case for everyone. If you are going to message a member out of channel make sure you have their permission to do so. Just keep in consideration that everyone has a different view on it so if in doubt, ask. Now that the rules are out of the way you are probably wondering how to join. Email either of us (Locke or Cethgus) your phone number once whatsapp is installed and we will add you directly to the group, and boom you are now chatting away to members of the clan in WhatsApp!

Additionally, as mentioned above, we now have a Summit twitter page. This account below is used by Summit to keep you guys up to date on things to come and to make note of awards and other stuff. Feel free to follow us. You can find our twitter page here

On a separate note I know this report is a lot to handle, but our primary source of communication is still IRC, please feel free to hop on and speak to us whenever you want. Normally the afternoon is better for most of us, but we look forward to seeing you online any time.

We have seen a few promotions since the last report, first we would like to congratulate everyone on the list below, getting a promotion is something we all aspire to in the club and the following members have stepped up and managed to earn their own. Q&A with the CON and PCON

So a new part of our reports will include the Q&A section. This is where we have given members a chance to speak to us on matters which they simply want to know about or be answered, as such we have selected a few of the questions asked and will answer them in this report. Note that this time we went with a limited number of participants and it was fairly impromptu, but we will advertise this more widely in the future and we also always welcome participants from outside the Clan. Below is a small selection of questions and answers. Thanks to everyone who participated! So here they are:

Question from Inarya: Will there be any plan of clan event in the future?

Answer: The plan in the future will be to run a clan wide event yes, we will be looking into this to make sure that it runs smoothly. We do have plans so that once the Clan wide event has been run we will then be looking at having unit leaders run more House-level competitions.

Question from Atra: What is the plan set in place for new members to run competitions?

Answer: As it stands the best way to run a competition at the moment iis to speak to your respective summit member, from there they will guide you and help you sort out the competition. Once it has been put in we will help the new member with advertising the competitions and help you from start to finish to make sure everything goes smoothly and the competition is properly promoted throughout the Clan and Brotherhood (if applicable).

Question from Atra: Is there any plan to expand the Black Guard significance at all?

Answer: So far we have thought about it a little bit, but our thoughts have been else where. That being said we would like to get it to a point where members feel better about it and more involved in the development of the team and their fictional role inside of the Clan so that being awarded this feels like it means more.

Summit’s Thoughts

Locke - I'm really excited to have the chance to serve Naga Sadow again. Even though we didn't do that well in the Great Jedi War, I've seen a lot of energy lately and it's good to see everyone beginning to rebound. We have a lot of promising things to look forward to in the future, and a lot on the table that Cethgus and I will be working to get sorted and implemented. I'm glad to see the feedback that we got in the Q&A and think that will be a great thing to do moving forward. It's always great to hear from our members.

Cethgus - I would like to take the time to say a massive thank you to the welcome I have received since joining Naga Sadow. It has been warm and welcoming at all times and I have to say I am extremely looking forward to working with each of you. I know there are a lot of changes that will be coming about and I know we have a lot of work ahead of us but have it known that during this time we are here to work as one and build Naga Sadow to a gloriouse clan, each of you are needed to help see this thru and I am proud to be part of this journey we will be taking.
