Welcome to another joint Consul and Proconsul report for Naga Sadow. In this report, we'll talk about recent DJB news, clan news, list medals and promotions as usual, and maybe call out a couple of major events. Now with 50% shorter sentences and 20% more casual! (Maybe)
Rivalries is over. It was pretty great. If you somehow missed out, it was a major ACC event highlighting the Story Hall mode of dueling. Instead of each member posting their own alternate ending, these "duels" only have one ending and are more about building a story and less about killing each other. They're also a lot of fun. I only did one, but I know a few of our members participated in a lot more. Bentre and Armad come to mind. Good job guys, and everyone else who participated!
And thanks to Wally for coming up with and running such a fun event, with an amazing level of success. He's obviously not in CNS, but I figure he deserves some measure of recognition for pulling this off.
In other news, the new Test of Identity is out. If you're a registered member you're already past the point where you would ever need to fill this out, but maybe you'll show it to a friend sometime. Hint, hint! It looks to be a lot more clear and streamlined than the old ones and has a nice design.
Also, and maybe this should have gotten first, Naga Sadow got mentioned specifically as a unit that is doing well in the recent DGM report, so great work to all of you. I've probably already expressed how happy I am with CNS right now, but I figured it couldn't hurt to mention it again. Things are great.
Finally, on the gaming front, the Battlefront Beta starts the 8th. View this news post for more information. It looks like a lot of DJB members are likely to sign up. This is a great opportunity to try the game early and learn about it before many others do.
On the clan side of things, Awakenings is over, as you probably all know. You can read about it in this news post. Once again, I'd like to congratulate the winners and note that it was good to see a mix of new and old faces working together to achieve victory.
After that, you might think "damn, Atra is so good at stuff, I don't want to compete with him again." Well my first reply would be, welcome to my life. My second is, lucky for you, he's helping to head the running of the next event along with Sang, so he can't compete in it.
Ashes Fall will begin in early October and be headed by Sang and Atra, and they miiiiight get to hijack a report or two to talk about it. Maybe.
Additionally, we currently have a freeform clan runon going. In it, you can post about basically whatever you want and join fellow clan members in your own stories. You can find the link below:
Finally, we recently began running a poll to find out what kind of games members are interested in so we can better coordinate events related to them. If you haven't already filled it out, you can do so here.
Speaking of gaming, if you like to watch that for hours, here we have hour Proconsul and Quaestors playing Warhammer 40k: Space Marine and talking about gaming and a little bit about DJB stuff.
How amusing. :P
Finally, I'd like to give a shout out to Maelous Ascarend and Atra Ventus* who both got promoted this past month.
Maelous got promoted from Warrior to Battlemaster. He is the longest-serving member of Naga Sadow's current Summit. His efforts as Aedile have greatly assisted Sang in making Marka Ragnos great, and all of us in the clan's success. You can read his recommendations here.
Atra got promoted from Savant to Seer. He has long served the Brotherhood and clan in a number of positions, from Judge to Quaestor. Like Maelous and others on Summit, he has been essential to the recent success of Naga Sadow. Atra makes a positive impact wherever he goes in the Brotherhood. You can read his recommendations here.
Medals-wise, we've seen a lot this month. Awakenings results are the major contributor to this. As a whole, the clan gained 175 Clusters of Ice from this event alone. Wow.
I'd like to give a shout out to those who earned merit and sacramental awards.
Ashia got a Sapphire Blade for work completed over the past four years or so.
Marcus, Bentre, and Tasha all got Steel Crosses.
Muz, Darkblade, Armad, Scarlet, and Goat all got Anteian Crosses.
Lexic, Aexod, and Jeric all got Dark Crosses.
And that's a lot of merits. You can find a full list below. If you're not on here, keep digging and I'm sure you will be soon!

Promotions-wise, we've seen a few new members join us and rise quickly through the early ranks. We'd like to welcome you all again and we look forward to seeing you advance!
As always, we link to the current Competition List. It can sometimes be hard to figure out what to say here every month, so this month I'll just say this: competitions may sound like you have to be super competitive to get anything out of them, but you don't need to be. Yes, there is a winner to pretty much every competition, but they're also an opportunity for character development, or to meet new people in gaming, or to have a good laugh. (Or in some people's case, to make fun of your Consul)
So you should read through the list, 'cause you might find something you like and open up a new world.
That's the end of this report. There was going to be a video here of gaming, but it got removed and replaced with this video of a Hippo chasing a boat.
Nah, just kidding, it's higher up in the report. But seriously stay out of the waters of Aeotheran. They're not safe. (This has been a public service announcement of the Dlarit News Network.)
