In the cold vacuum of space, the Orian system had seen a sudden surge in lawlessness. Smugglers and pirates—an unsavory outfit believed to be operating under the commission of a criminal syndicate—had taken advantage of Clan Naga Sadow’s absence from their previous operations on Athiss. Led by Moff Simonetti, an experienced and calculating commander, the Warhost fleet of Clan Naga Sadow was tasked with restoring order to the Orian system. At the heart of the operation was the Imperial Star Destroyer Perdition, the clan’s flagship, accompanied by a capable escort of ships, including the Ton-Falk-class carrier Percheron, two Raider II corvettes Stalker and Khar Shien, and four support ships.
Simonetti and his fleet were sent on a scouting mission to uncover the origins of the chaos and bring swift justice to the band of criminals terrorizing the region. Their intelligence hinted at smuggling operations involving stolen Coaxium, a valuable hyperfuel, and critical supplies that were being transported through the Orian system and neighboring regions. The fleet had been tasked with finding the source of these operations and eliminating the threat before it could destabilize Clan Naga Sadow's control of their home system.
Through extensive intelligence gathered from various informants and patrols, the Warhost command had traced the pirate threat to a group of smugglers believed to be working for a unnamed notorious crime syndicate. The Orian system, with its complex asteroid fields and abandoned outposts, had become a haven for criminal activity. These smugglers were using antiquated Raider I corvettes, refurbished and outfitted with heavier weaponry, as their primary means of transport. Although old, these vessels were deceptively powerful, featuring retrofitted heavy turbolasers and ion cannons, making them more than a match for standard patrol ships.
Alongside these modified corvettes, the smugglers had an armada of armed supply transports, designed to haul their illegal cargo across the stars. Intelligence reports also revealed the presence of six Gozanti-class assault carriers, each equipped with four TIE fighters. These carriers were a threat on their own, capable of deploying fighter screens that could harass and distract any opposing forces. The smuggling fleet’s TIE fighters were older models but still dangerous, piloted by skilled mercenaries who had nothing to lose.
The smugglers had become more daring, extending their operations into Clan Naga Sadow’s territories. Just outside the Aeotheran sector of Orian, one of Moff Simonetti’s trusted contacts narrowly escaped an ambush from these smugglers. The threat was growing more immediate, and Simonetti was determined to bring them down before they could solidify their hold on the system.
Knowing the gravity of the situation, Moff Simonetti sent a secured hologram transmission to the fleet commanders of House Marka Ragnos and House Shar Dakhan. As leaders of Clan Naga Sadow’s military forces, they would be vital in executing Simonetti’s carefully crafted trap. The message was precise and clear: Simonetti planned to lure the smugglers into a final confrontation near the edge of the Orian system, close to Wild Space, where the Warhost fleet would spring a classic pincer maneuver.
Simonetti’s strategy was simple but effective. By sending out small patrols that appeared vulnerable, he hoped to provoke the smugglers into pursuing them, drawing them into a trap where the Perdition and the other Warhost vessels could close in from both sides. The key to the plan’s success was timing. Once the smugglers committed to the chase, Simonetti would have his fleet surround them, disabling their ships with ion cannons before they could mount a serious counteroffensive.
The message concluded with Simonetti’s detailed instructions to the starfighter squadrons, Bogan I and Bogan II, which were composed of the newly developed Mark VII “Sadow” starfighters. These sleek and deadly ships would play a crucial role in the upcoming engagement, tasked with intercepting and neutralizing the enemy TIE fighters that the smugglers would inevitably launch.

ProBowl
Well another year has passed and we have put behind us another great ProBowl. This year Prophet Slagar and ProBowl crew managed to up the ante a bit and Nova’s have now been included as awards for the ProBowl! So I would like to personally thank the Council of Consuls for pushing for that recognition for the participants. I also would like to thank all the rest of the Consul’s for another great year of working with them. It definitely gives me insight and expands the camaraderie amongst the Clans. Not to mention, the crew of Consuls we have are positively amazing. So thank you again for carrying this knuckledragger around the playground, absolutely love being a part of it!
I want to congradulate both the Frogdogs and Rotworms on another epic event. ALL of you are so kick ass and we cannot express enough how proud we are of ALL of you. Being in the team chats it looked like everyone was having a great time and that is the goal! Congrats again to both teams!
All that being said there is one more thing that we need to highlight. We have a member that just tore through the ProBowl. Not to mention this Sadowan has been tearing it up as of late and we cannot even begin to say how flipping cool that is. So without further adieu, like to congratulate Journeyman Veil Arcana for being named the top scored for CNS during the Probowl! Check it all out here:
ProBowl VIII: Convergence - Results
Where are we currently? If you may recall I mentioned the PCon and I had a few projects on the cooker. Well we will be seeing the start to those projects here in the near future. We have been discussing some change to Clan structure. After talks and discussions with the Sons of Sadow, The PCon and I want to further that discussion to everyone with what we are about to put in place. But before that happens its not just us and the Sons of Sadow, more importantly we WANT ALL MEMBERS to have a voice in this. So this is what the PCon and I have been discussing. The one thing that those who have put their voice to Summit agree on, is a change in format is needed. Here is what those changes could look like:
We are considering moving the Clan towards a more streamline leadership structure. With our current numbers of members it only makes sense to transition to a more modernized leadership structure. What does that structure look line? Simply meaning, we will move everyone over into the Naga Sadow roster and the two Houses will remain operational in fiction only.
We will also transition from Quaestors to Magistrates who will carry out admin duties and will remain a liason between the Houses and their respective systems fictionally. All assets and possessions will remain in place. However, House credits may transfer over to the main CNS credit account.
Since Archpriest Quentinshadows is the only sitting Quaestor at the moment, Summit will transition him over to being a CNS Magistrate. The second Magistrate position is yet to be determined. But we have had some great input as to how to divide and conquer separate responsibilities between the two Magistrate. Since the formality of the Quaestor position will be removed, the Clan Magistrate(s) are free to direct their focus towards members and their path towards personal goals. They will also work closer with Summit without the constraints of accompanying House Summit admin duties. Clan Summit will consume those taskers.
We have looked at what specific duties that Magistrates will be responsible for and as we stated earlier, we have gotten some great crosstalk on some of the details. Now its YOUR turn to chime in.
These Magistrate positions will be responsible for:
2-4 monthly Clan competitions (organized or co-organized based on the comp type)
Creation or update of 1-2 Wiki article(s) for the Clan per Quarter
Be active in Chat, Mail Groups and answering questions, etc.
Encourage activity for both Clan and Club wide competitions
Work alongside the Clan Summit to provide engaging fiction updates for the Clan
These are just tentative until we hear from ALL MEMBERS before this goes live. This is but a start to a long overdue transition, there is more that we have been considering. We have looked heavily into newcomers and their training/Club path. We have talked the talk, now it's time to start putting the rubber to the road. There is a lot for us yet to accomplish and now before we start putting plans in motion to bolster our beloved Clan, your voice matters! Either hit us up on Discord or email us your thoughts, opinions via email to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] or [Log in to view e-mail addresses]
With yet a couple more taskers at our end to wrap up the Clan will start seeing some fiction movement, along with a comp or two. I can assure you guys the PCon and I have some cool prompts to mess around with. I am confident our future will be pretty flippin cool! Just sayin…
Meanwhile, all that crazy admin stuff as necessary as it may be, it is but a footnote to how cool all of you are. There have been a lot of happenings that need to be highlighted!
Order of the Blackguard: Competition: CNS Order of the Blackguard: October 2024
Lord Muz Keibatsu: Sadow Monthly Skirmish: October
Another Pro Bowl in the books, and as the dust settles from that, I want you all to know how very proud I am of all of us that came out and did comps for that. It’s a great way to come out and earn some creds for yourself as well as for the clan. Every single credit counts towards something new and cool. And since it is hard and thirsty work to compete with the other clans and to live and control our Ancient Empire, the Seventh Tooth Bar will be Open on Dentavii yet again, for another two-week session of Sadow Shenanigans.
If you’ll forgive the ramblings of an old man, I wanted to take a moment and remind people of something that I feel is important. Solo events are great ways to stack creds, as I mentioned, but I think more important are the friends we all make while we’re here. Sometimes, I take a moment and think about the members we had, the friends we made that don’t come around so often any more. Beowulf with his JA clinics that he would put on every other weekend. Bob and his crazy puns and jokes. Manji’s drive to get everyone into the ACC and write more. I am sure that most of us older folks have our own lists.
There’s a great old Viking Poem called the Havamal that says that we are all mortal, but the stories that people tell about us are not.
The people we chat with online, the folks who we message so that we can get some gaming in, the people we think of when we think about the clan, about the club. They make you log in more than the cool updates to the site, to the character sheets or possessions. The idea of doing things with those friends, the excitement that comes from that, they make you want to do more, which makes them want to do more, and it creates this feedback loop of activity and good feelings that can not be beat.
And it comes from doing things together. So the ask I have is for each of you to get out and do something with another clan member, to create those stories for the next generation, for yourself. To do an RP with someone else, someone new. To do a cooperative fiction, to play a video game, to start an ACC match. To DM someone and find something fun to do together.
I mean, that’s really why we’re all here, right? ; )
We saw a good spike in activity over Jul/Aug, thoroughly enjoying seeing the increase in activity. We ended with a 93.3% participation rate for Jul/Aug Excellent work CNS!

That got me thinking and I started looking back to see how those were recognized other than the SA email announcement. So to keep me more on top of the shout out announcements and all that BOOOOOMY jazz, you will be hearing from me more often. DISCLAIMER: It is highly encouraged per Warhost Rules of Engagement Section 3.2.1 Carpet BOOOOMING is authorized amongst ALL CNS members.
It takes a lot to go through those studies and earn our degrees. I commend all of us for furthering our education and supporting the Shadow Academy. After all, we do have like, a rockstar Professor residing in the Clan. There is a lot to learn over there and those degrees do pay off, literally. Get over there and dive into those classes.
