The Fate Star made its way through the vacuum of space and towards the green and blue sphere. The old, battered Lambda class shuttle shook violently as it slowly descended in the atmosphere of Aeotheran. Kaayn felt a thud as the transport set foot on the surface of the planet. Hearing the telltale hiss of the cabin depressurizing, Kaayn pushed himself to his feet and made his way to the descending boarding ramp, his R5 unit and Protector T’Espera in tow.
The air felt only slightly heavier than that of his former home of Milil’ea continent on Harakoa. As he stepped off the boarding ramp into the cloak of night, his feet sank in the mud. He surveyed the clearing and closed his eyes. Smiling he said “They are this way…” T’Espera nodded in agreement; “Digit, scan for humanoid life forms in that direction.” The astromech unit whistled an annoyed tune at the human and started scanning. After a brief moment, the R5 made a tone of acknowledgement and began shuffling through the mud in the direction Kaayn had indicated. “T’Espera, stay here with Digit and watch the Fate Star.” Kaayn directed.
The trek through the Aeotheran jungle was more uneventful than had been anticipated and the hike to the designated meeting location took no longer than one standard hour. The foliage of the jungle dissolved into a small clearing. In the center stood a humanoid with bark-like skin. He felt as if he had to strain his neck to look the man in the eyes. Kaayn took note of the two lightsabers, and a green dagger. Standing next to him was another humanoid male, slightly shorter fully concealed in a dark robe. Off to the side was a figure of roughly the same height covered completely in black armor.
“Kaayn Salis, I presume..” the bark skinned male began. Kaayn lowered the hood of his monad robes and nodded in acknowledgement. “I am Malik Sadow. You contacted me requesting a meeting, though I am at a loss as to why.” Malik continues. Kaayn pulled a datapad from his cloak and handed it to the man. “This is a detailed journal of what House Odan-Urr and its foolish Jedi have failed at recently and their mishandling of those events. As a hero of the Crusades and the most recent Affliction crisis, I saw firsthand the weakness in the leadership… in the entire House Odan-Urr. Their destruction is imminent.. and I intend to be the instrument of that destruction!” Malik nodded and stretched out with his thoughts. He touched Kaayns’ mind and sensed the sincerity in his words, but he also sensed pain, fear and an unfocused seething hatred. “Very well, collect your belongings and meet with me at these coordinates on Tarthos. I may have a need for you. We will address Clan Naga Sadow upon your arrival.” Malik said handing a datapad to the former Jedi.
With that, Kaayn bowed and returned to the Fate Star.

I am Sith Warrior Kaayn Salis, the new CNS Rollmaster. A little about me: I have many years of Star Wars gaming club experience. I’ve worked with the Rebel Squadrons, Emperor’s Hammer, Imperial Directorate, the Jedi Conclave as well as the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. I served as a house level rollmaster on two occasions in Clan Plagueis, the leader of the Jedi Conclave, and as a branch commander in the Imperial Directorate (serving as the commander of all three branches for a time.)
In my “mundane” life, I was a security area/field supervisor for a contract security company. Most recently I served as head of security for a small liberal arts college.
As your Rollmaster, I plan to work with the Summit and the clan as a whole to change the scope of our membership. Our numbers are running on the low end and we need to change this.
Our clan has been on probation recently and has been in danger of being reduced to House status. We each need to make our best efforts to recruit new (and/or Rogue) members to the clan. If you know anyone that likes Star Wars and gaming/writing/role playing give them our URL and get them involved! They will learn that membership in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and Clan Naga Sadow is a fulfilling hobby. They will make new friendships that transcend the internet gaming world and last for years to come.
Need ideas on recruitment?
There are many things you can to do help potential members look at what we have to offer!
Family/Friends: If you have any family or friends that have an interest in Star Wars, you can point them our way and explain how much fun you have with your friends. If they have a slight interest, ask them to try out the group for a week or two. I guarantee they will be hooked!
Gaming: The Dark Jedi Brotherhood plays many games that have associated communities with them. When playing any game with an associated community with it, you can always pass our contact information on to members of these communities. As an example: Star Wars The Old Republic has a number of servers and many players. During interactions with these players, you can find interested potential members.
Local Businesses: Printing up a few cheap flyers or make a few bookmarks or business style cards can be places at local comic/gaming shops or at book stores. Flyers can be placed on bulletin boards, and bookmarks/business cards can be placed in Star Wars/Sci Fi books. I’ve used this particular approach for a few different organizations and have gotten pretty good results. Please make sure to get the permission of the owner before using this approach. Also, note that the Dark Jedi Brotherhood will not reimburse you for costs associated with printing materials.
Clan Naga Sadow has a Master/Student program in place. It is my goal to get all Journeymen a Master to assist with their training and advancement. If anyone Dark Jedi Knight or above wants to serve as a Master, please let me know. Likewise, if anyone below the rank of Dark Jedi Knight wants a master, please contact me and I will work on getting you paired with someone.
Remember to log in to the database at least every couple of days (if not every day.) This will keep you from being listed as AWOL and losing you to the Rogues. It’s best to just log in to the database every time you visit the DJB site.
