Odanites,
Oh would you look at this. Oh my gosh, just look at it! We have a new fiction update, House Run-Ons, Minecraft server update, award sweep results, and a shiny new “Opportunities” section just packed into this thing. Well would you just look at that… without further adieu, I bring you the news...
We managed to fight off the mercenaries before they extracted too much of our data, but some important things still managed to slip out. After receiving word of a hand-off between the mercs and a black-cloaked Miralian wearing Imperial Security Bureau armor, our SeNet operative tracked the suspect. He tried to interrupt the exchange, but both the merc and the unknown Miralian managed to evade. We have little information, but we have a face. Now we hunt.
Safely away from any pursuers, the Miralian, or “Director” as his subordinates call him, pours through the data to make sense of it. However, his focus is interrupted by a holocall from an old, seemingly ancient Arkanian woman named Lady Cicilia. He reassures her that the data they collected revealed the location of a powerful artifact hidden deep in the Odanite Praxeum. Having heard many tales of the Odanites, the Director is reluctant. Still, Lady Cicilia reminds him that nobody is safe as long as the Clan has this artifact.
Meanwhile, at the Tipsy Tusken Cantina…
Resting against the side of the building, a cloaked figure leaned as if to take a break from the hustle and bustle going on around him. His hood pulled low to shroud his face. The only noticeable feature was a series of small spikes raising the fabric off his crown, and the lower portion of his chin revealing intricate tattoos. As a precaution against those of the Force who could pick him out of the crowd, he subdued his connection, concealing his signature completely. The figure scanned the crowd while casually pulling strands of grass from a piece of straw and letting them be carried off by the wind. It had been a while since he had been in the field. Serving from behind the lines was crucial to his organization's success, but he missed the days of direct action. He placed what remained of the reed in his mouth and bit down, releasing the sweet chlorophyll within its cells. Then, he saw his target. He bit down on the grass one last time before removing it and tossing it to the ground. His eyes followed a svelte-built man with a hooded cloak covering a hide jacket, boots, and dark-colored pants. His bandolier and waist satchel gave proof that this was the one he was after. As the target walked into the cantina, his hunter followed…

I have to say, we are very proud of how much we had been able to write up this Award and Promotion Sweep. Your efforts this month have generated a total of 22 events, for both general activity and 4 specific awards coming out of the Fist and Wiki offices for specific excellence.
If you didn’t get an award this round, keep on doing the things. If you’d like that promotion you’ve been eyeing for a while, reach out to any Summit member and we’ll help you get there.
Now for the awards!
Marl Gondor has ascended to Vanguard!
Waden Skylanders has ascended to Proselyte!
Again, HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the recipients!
…aaaaand they’re off! Both the Consular Conclave and the Guardian Corps Run-Ons are moving ahead at full steam. Here is a brief summary of their stories.
Conclave Run-On: Uncovered
The Consulars have begun to dig into the Duros Holocron and are unlocking its secrets. Namely, the locations of Jedi sanctuaries throughout the galaxy. Could there still be a hidden area on Coruscant? Or perhaps an ancient location on Solyiat itself? Help your Conclave uncover these mysteries!
Corps Run-On: A Long Way to Fall
Members of the Guardians Corps are called in to help investigate a murder in Voraskel Palace. As dawn rose over the city, Bellaran Anasaye, a distant member of the crown's family and a minor noble within the city's upper districts, was found dead outside of his abode. Seemingly thrown from his room after being stabbed multiple times, the Odanites were asked to help cover for the overburdened police force.
Ryan Hawkins, Creon de Neverse, Aura Ta'var, Marl Gondor, and Essik Lyccane are among those present. Oddities have quickly arisen even as they just examine the local area, as the victim was stabbed and then pushed, but with the murderer avoiding easy killing strikes despite apparent strength and skill. Strange markings have shown up in the surrounding alleyways, and the body itself has been doused in some form of chemical to disguise the assailant's species.
If you’re not sure what a Run-On is, it’s a type of story where each submission you post moves the story forward, including all the characters. So it’s like our roleplays but you’re doing the writing for all of the characters and moving the plot. They’re fun, a great way to write with others and earn Clusters!
So far our Minecraft server is doing great. We have a few people who’ve already taken some time to relax and unwind to the soothing sounds of COU Creative. Busy blocking and building, they’ve begun laying the foundation of what I hope turns into a sprawling city with community buildings, custom homes, schools, and other significant sites to tour. To help get around we’ve built a train hub with lines running to most major structures. If you’re interested, reach out to Aura and me for a link to join.
Here are some things we’ve been working on…
