Odanites,
Hope everyone’s Summer, or Winter, is going well and you’re in one of the few places not on fire right now.
In this report, we tell you there is an easy way to get some shinies, get you hyped about the ProBowl, share our mini-event results and Aura has a special treat for you SWTOR Pub players, along with all the other cool stuff we have going on. So without further adieu, I bring you the news...
Ithorian Gardens, Outskirts Daleem 40 ABY
The night air buzzed with the constant hiss of insects. The normally docile animals were roused, weaving about the metallic skeleton of a building being hastily assembled. The small army of servants, operators, and workmen cursed and stumbled against the unending tide, yelling out as they attempted to coordinate their efforts. A growing pyramid of personal glow lamps lay discarded at the edge of the prefabricated structure, abandoned by all but a brave few, as the bugs swarmed any light source that sparked out against the near total blackness of their surroundings.
The scene was illuminated momentarily as a ship, the latest of many, swung over the site. The blue fire of its four ion engines scattered the swarms, and sent the thick fabric of the nearby tends billowing in their downwash. One, established on the fringes of the landing site, fell inward with the crash of heavy crates being upended.
Ilthei Vun paid little heed to the accident, or the pained yells that emanated from the tent. Waving a hand before him as a stream of curses escaped his lips, the sallow-skinned Sephi stalked toward one of the larger tents, both of his bodyguards racing after him in a light jog. Workmen parted at his approach, a few offering momentary bows in their work as he passed among them, before reaching the tend and sweeping aside what passed for a door.
“They asked for a price increase at the last second,” Vun said, making no effort to disguise his irritation as he stepped within. “Supposedly to cover the cost of our disruption.”
The event has been extended and is set to close on the 8th, so there is still some time to get in on the story and earn yourself some awards!

The ProBowl is a team based event celebrating its 6th year running and this year will be our first entrance into this HUGE event!
Basically, the participants will be divided into two teams, the Frog-Dogs and Rotworms, who’ll compete against each other in various competitions. That means you’ll get to work alongside many other DBers, as one, for a shot at the gold!
I’ve included some details below that I totally stole from Slagar’s Plagueis Report…
Overview:
Pro Bowl 2022 is a three-week, multi-event competition designed to test each and every member of the attending units. An opening event will determine which order our teams will have in a Draft-style event led by the Pro Bowl organizers. The teams will alternate their selections until the entire roster of all attending units are split between them, with equal parts of each clan ending up on each team. Once the roster is set, the teams will battle it out in a series of events spread over the course of three weeks. Events will include the standard fare of Fiction, Graphics, Gaming, and Trivia, along with some less common events designed to help test each member participating. We're aiming to provide a nicely rounded field when it comes to the competitions on offer, with nearly all of the events set for individual entrants aside from one small group fiction.
Schedule:
The Pro Bowl will be running on a very similar schedule to last year, with our prologue week event starting September 26th. Then, we will have three single week rounds following that with the entire event ending October 23rd. Full week by week breakdowns are as follows:
Prologue: September 26th - October 2nd
Week One: October 3rd - October 9th
Week Two: October 10th - October 16th
Week Three: October 17th - October 23rd
Scoring:
Something that has been carried over from Pro Bowls past, is an emphasis on showing up. Every member, every entry will contribute to the overall score of each team, and lead one of them to victory. Contributions big and small up and down the roster, just like the 53 man roster of an American football team, are meaningful! This can be seen in the Pro Bowl scoring system:
Each individual will earn five points per event they participate in. Participation is defined as a valid submission for an event. Simply signing up for an event or uploading an unqualified submission will not count. You have to put in the effort in order to receive the reward. Participation will earn 5 points.
Additionally, the top three individuals in each event will earn placement modifier points. First place will earn 4 points, second place will earn 3 points, and third place will earn 2 points, and all other entries will earn 1 point. Events themselves will have modifiers based on their perceived difficulty/level of effort required. For example: the modifier for fiction will be 3, the modifier for gaming/graphics/poetry will be 2, and no modifier will be added to puzzle/trivia/flash events.
Grading formula: (Placement Score * Event Modifier) + Participation = Event Score
At the end of the competition, the individual scores for all three weeks will be added up, and the top three individuals will earn crescents for the overall competition. Total scores for both teams, including the Prologue Week event, will determine the victorious team.
Members will get more points for placing, but the biggest way you can contribute to your team's victory (and bragging rights over your opponents, be they from other Clans or your fellow Clan-mates) is just being active. So, to quote Theodore Roosevelt: "Get Action!"
We’re all really excited about it and can’t wait for it to kick off! Stay tuned for more details!
We had a lot of great submissions for our small post-war event. In total we had 21 submissions from 5 participants! The winner of the event was Alethia Archenksova!
Congratulations to Arch and all who participated!
Now that the fields are cleared of bodies and repairs on the Praxeum are underway, life can get back to normal. In honor of those who fell during the Ascendant invasion, a monument is to be erected in their honor. The Council reached out to the finest architects on Kiast to design it and Jafits Skrumm won the bid with his submission. We’ll begin construction immediately.
Last we chatted, I shared a SWTOR Pub team interest form. I’ve given it a solid month and now its time to move out. Results from the initial interest survey show that most everyone prefers PvE content, so the SWTOR PUB team will focus solely on PvE content. We may do some Galactic Starfighter if everyone wants to but we will not plan for it. Additionally, we had more than enough interest to kick this idea off the ground, so I am proud to formally announce the creation of our SWTOR PUB team, which is open to everyone in and out of the Dark Brotherhood. As long as its worth the time to read it, I will provide monthly newsletters on where we stand as a guild and as a team.
To kick things off, here is our inaugural newsletter for September!
Did you read it yet? If you are interested in Star Wars The Old Republic, you really should before you move on. It covers information about our weekly SWTOR runs, the kickoff of our newly formed SWTOR Pub team, the detailed plan ahead for that SWTOR Pub team, the guide of the month to help everyone gear up to 330 gear, and finally some final thoughts. Go read the newsletter linked above.
We need more volunteers for weekend events, especially in the roleplay capacity. Want to try your hand at it? Just message Revak or myself and we’ll show you how to do everything! Of course, if time does not permit for that, we also really appreciate showing up for weekend events, even if its just to pop in and say hi. :)
