Odanites,
Wow what a year 2022 was! Do you have any resolutions? We do, and we’ll get to them in a little while, along with the December Scimitar results and the very exciting 2022 Scimitar of Lord Hoth results where we announce it’s next owner. We’re also in the last stretch of our event with Arcona so get in on that while supplies last. While we spam your inboxes looking for your input we will, without further adieu, bring you the news...
New Year celebrations are why I like putting these reports out by the 5th of the Month. Hopefully, by now, the grogginess and haze after what is a wild night have lifted; likewise, the bitterness that comes after hoping for bigger and better things as the new year rolls in, just to be smacked in the face by returning to work. I get it. I feel the pain.
So what are we going to do about it? Well, we have this Club. Here we are free to be who we want, live out whatever fantasies we wish, and meet incredible people who are also here for that very thing. Whether for escape or entertainment, whenever we log onto the site to do a competition or jump into the Discord server to chat it up, we keep this place alive like a lighthouse attendant during a stormy sea. A beacon for Star Wars fans, gamers, roleplayers, artists, writers, or other nerds, dorks, and dweebs with similar interests. This is our own little home on the internet and despite whatever differences we have, this is our little family.
But family life can get boring when doing the same things repeatedly for years. Combined with our ever-increasingly busy schedules and things start to slip. You begin not to log on as frequently or read up on any new reports or fiction (I know you already don't do this, it's ok, we forgive you). What I want to see for this year is for you to keep this Club in mind. Keep logging in. Keep doing a competition every so often. Keep coming back for the very thing you came for in the beginning. Whatever that may be. Bring back some of your friends who you’ve gamed or written with in the past, or even bring in someone new. Not only does this help us keep the lights on for newer generations of Star Wars fans, but it sends you to a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away where you can de-stress after a long, hard day of trying to survive in today's world. Very much like many of you had done when you where younger.
If I haven't put you to sleep after that preachy bit, you certainly will be put to sleep by where our fiction stands. It's been a while since we've updated, but now that I have you here, this is where we left off…
So basically, at a SeNet Reconnaissance Division Hub some interference was noticed coming from one of the SeNWatch spy satellites. Senior Operator Paula Simione and Operator Arth Garfkl tried to clear up the signal and troubleshoot the cause. They notified Reconnaissance Division Director Merton who notified the Odan-Urr Council. Director Merton suspected it to be hijacked by mercenaries. A small strike team was sent out to deal with the problem and found that the mercenaries had been transmitting data from the network to another location. SeNet had discovered that there was a deal to sell the still unknown data in Chute Town of the Godless Matron. SeNet sent operatives to recover the data, but the deal went down and the suspects had gotten away, though it was noted that the buyer had on Imperial Security Bureau armor. At an unknown location, the buyer eagerly scrolled though the small bits of information they obtained. Mostly troop movements filled the screen but very then detailed information about the Vault. It all appears to be for a mysterious woman, pale with long white hair, white eyes and a guttural voice.
Using this as our re-ignition point, we’ll be crafting the continuation of this storyline.
In six days, our holiday event with Arcona will come to an end. What is this event you say? Well, its all about shenanigans. We basically threw a big a party on Kashyyk with some Wookiees and your only order is to have fun, but please don’t burn any trees down. The Wookiees like their forest and we would like to be invited back. This is a chance for us all to just have fun and go crazy so come join us! What do we have to do you say? Well, a bunch.
First, I’d like to invite you all to our roleplay for the event. No lightsabers allowed but we have glitter guns and pool noodles and other fun stuff. Already we have 5 Odanites who have joined so come join us. Aura will be at the bar if you want an easy entry for writing. Check it out here hopefully this link works but if it doesn’t then dm myself or Revak on discord and we will sort you out.
Second, we have a bunch of competitions for you all. But below is a short digest of them all.
That’s all the competitions, so find one you really like and try it out. Try out some shenanigans in our roleplay. If you don’t know how to start, one of us will write you in. :) Remember 6 days left!
If you haven't done so already, check your inboxes. We’ve spammed everyone in the Clan (sorry Summiters who had to endure that solid minute of notifications) asking to provide input for what they’d like to see us do going into next year. Would you like to see a certain fictional direction or elements? Changes to our Community Events? My public execution? Any input you provide will help us tailor our events to your specific interests. Its your Clan and we make it for you to enjoy!
Now that the Holidays are over, we’ll be going full bore with these events. These are meant not just for Odanites, but for anyone in the Club who’d like to participate. Dominated by roleplaying, we have also done numerous online games, viewing parties, joint art or Cards Against Humanity. If there is something you’d like to play, or event Host, let us know and we can schedule you in for whatever date (not just about the weekends anymore) and time works best for you.

It’s that time of the month again… where we announce the winner of the coveted Scimitar of Lord Hoth Competition for December and I grant the Title of “Champion of Odan-Urr” to the member who has built up the most points throughout the year. You all have put in a lot of work on your race up the leaderboard so I look forward to seeing what you accomplish in 2023!
Let's give a round of applause for Essik Lyccane, our December Scimitar Comp winner!
With this title comes with it the presentation of the Scimitar of Lord Hoth. Go forth Essik and use it to spread the light of Odan-Urr. Remember, the only way to keep it is to keep the title and to keep the title requires another stellar year.
Who has what it takes to nab the Scimitar for themselves next January?
Congratulations Essik and all of those who made the leaderboard!
