Well look at that. The leaves are changing, the air is getting crisp and all the good movies are coming back out. It's a fun time of the year and this month we’ll have a whole bunch of fun things for you all! So grab your pumpkin spice because without further adieu, I bring you the news...

Mark Your Calendars
While we focus on House competitions for October, November brings our first Clan Event with the new Houses. It’ll continue where we left off during the last fiction update and begin setting the stage for events later down the road. Not going to give away too many details now, but we think you’re going to like this new arc.
DB Discord
The move went off without a hitch. We are now officially moved into our new home on Discord and I have to say, I’m pretty happy with it. Takes some getting used to since Telegram was our platform for some time, but with all the features Discord offers, there won’t be any looking back. So with that, our Telegram channels have officially been closed. Please direct all communication to Discord.
Competitions Galore!
While the Quaestors Ira and Kah work tirelessly to get you some House specific competitions that you’ll see hitting the airwaves over the next few days, we have some seasonal treats, maybe a few tricks, for you set to launch next week. For our Community Gaming days we’ll be looking to get on with Dead by Daylight, Friday the 13th or 7 Days to Die. Roleplay too will be getting spookier. Starting the 10th we have Odan-Urr Comedy Series: Fall Meme Edition. That's right folks, the Comedy Series is back again! Bunch of stuff to satisfy your competitive sweet tooth. Also, be on the lookout for the few member competitions out there too. More details in the Competition Highlights section below!
2021 Scimitar of Lord Hoth September results!
It’s that time of the month again… where we announce the winner of the coveted Scimitar of Lord Hoth, as well as list the runners up. All of whom put a lot of work into this last month and we would like to both thank and congratulate you for your efforts. We had 21 participants for the month of August! If you are chasing the number one spot or still want to get your name on the board, there is still time left on this year-long competition series.

Every month we count all of your Crescents, Clusters, PoBs, Competitions, events run, ACC matches completed, scrolls and SA activity then calculate the point values using our handy Scimitar of Hoth Point Rules sheet. With something that I can only assume was spawned from pure Dark Side energy, we are able to track all of your scores and maintain a running total of your points through the year. Every January, after we tally up the December results, we then present the member with the highest point total, the Scimitar of Lord Hoth! So the only thing you need to do is just the normal stuff on the site you’d normally do and we’ll take care of the rest. It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Essik Asks: “What is the main area you would like to see most improved within Clan Odan-Urr?”
Revak: “I'd just like to see more volunteers. We have a solid foundation fictionally. How we function as a Clan works really well for us. I'm very proud of this little community we have here. Hosting our Community Roleplay or Gaming Events, hosting competitions, jobs or even just pulling people together for a hangout are just some of the things I would like to see more members sign up for because that's where the fun stuff happens. It was during our Roleplays that we learned of one member's affinity to cats and how violence doesn't solve everything. If there is something you'd like to get some people together for, I'm all for it..``
Turel: “The only thing I would add to this is I personally would like to see more member investment in our worldbuilding and that's something we as a summit need to intentionally facilitate. Not saying this hasn't been done recently just how can we get more people creating their little corner of our system to show off and share. The medical station comp that Gui Sol ran is a good example.”
Aura Asks: “Can we have a roleplay where we move the chairs around your office and argue over if we should remove the backs?”
Revak: “Only under three conditions. 1) You get at least 5 members together to do it, I don't count. 2) You host. 3) Liz is present.”
