Odanites,
Welcome back to another Clan Odan-Urr report. In this issue we’ll be introducing our new Summit staff, hyping the hell out of our month-long Life Day Event, wrapping up the first chapter of Illuminance, and providing some exciting new details on the Dominion rollout. So spin that record and get ready to rock because, without further adieu, I bring you the news...
I’m going to start first by saying that taking on a leadership position in a Clan is a huge commitment but can be both fun and rewarding as your stories entertain, guide your members and shape the future of the unit. It’s no small feat getting a new House off the ground but working with Ira to make the Consular Conclave a thing was a very fun experience. With that said, Ira thank you for your contributions in helping get the Consulars and the Clan moving during your term. When your schedule clears up a bit, jump back into the Summit, we’d love to work with you again.
So what does that mean? Ira’s departure left us a QUA vacancy. Well while searching for an Aedile it came down to two members. Both are highly energetic and motivated to continue the work Ira started so, obvious choices for the next leaders of the Consulars. This is why we’re happy to announce Xolarin as the newest QUA and Elyon de Neverse to be his AED. They’ve already started chatting and will be releasing a report around the 25th of this month.
But wait… there’s more!
We had also received an application for the AED position for the Guardian Corps, the military arm of the Clan. The member chosen to aid Kah in his endeavors is Essau Kernaal. I’m confident that with the ideas both of them have, there will be some exciting stuff coming to the Guardians! Remember, Guardian Reports come out on the 15th of the month.
There is no shortage of things to do in the month of December!
Beginning today, our annual Life Day Event kicks off with a ton of easy competitions like fiction, puzzles, memes, a Cluster Race, graphics stuff… not to mention we’ll be hosting something every weekend on Discord.
Saturday, December 4th: Join Turel for some Jackbox Party Games!
Sunday, December 5th: COU Roleplay!
Saturday, December 11th: Join Bexa for a “Star Wars Holiday Special” viewing party. Grab some snacks and join us in voice as we watch this highly acclaimed piece of theatrical artwork!
Sunday, December 12th: COU Roleplay!
Saturday, December 18th: Join Turel as he runs SWTOR and Battlefront 2!
Sunday, December 19th: Join Bexa for some Cards Against Humanity!
Saturday, December 25th and Sunday, December 26th: We’ll see who is around. If you’re free, let’s get something going!
There are also other things happening in other parts of the Galaxy, such as…
[FIST] A Very Merry Fistmas! hosted by the Fist staff
The Great Sithmas Adventure hosted by Teebu
Regent Holiday Series hosted by the Regent staff
I highly encourage everyone to take part in all the things going on and invite everyone to come hang out with us.
Participation was great, with 18 participants that submitted 27 entries and gaming scores. Over the course of this month, we’ll be pouring through all of the intelligence you’ve collected to see who was the one responsible for hacking our satellite. Aiming to have a closing fiction for this first chapter out in January with the next Clan report. We’ll be continuing the story into next year so keep an eye out for Chapter 2! Great job on this event!
If you’re curious how you did, here are the placements and scores
Last night an exciting thing happened… The initial stages of Dominion came online. Now if you go into our Clan Possessions tab, you’ll see this…
I’ve organized it based on the distance of the planet from Aurek so you have a quick reference or you can click Kiast System Wiki for more information. Also, the items link with the wiki page and vice versa.
If you’re curious and would like to see a more 3D representation of the Kiast system and have Universe Sandbox on Steam, you can subscribe to the workshop item I’ve been working on HERE. I’ve even thrown in a few easter eggs (the one you’ll see if you scroll all the way out).
Dominion projects for next year: With Dominion going full steam ahead, I’d like some volunteers for a couple of things I’d like to have to accompany our little worlds.
First, a “Tour of the Galaxy” sort of video. Looking to have a script and music to go along with a fully narrated tour chock full of lore and other facts.
Second, while our major planets have fully fleshed out wiki pages, a few of them don’t. If you like to wiki and know a thing or two about cosmology, let us know what page you’d like to work on.
I’m looking forward to future updates and being able to further customize these worlds. Keep an eye out for the Regent’s reports as the project continues.
It’s that time of the month again… where we announce the winner of the coveted Scimitar of Lord Hoth, as well as list the runners up. All of whom put a lot of work into this last month and we would like to both thank and congratulate you for your efforts. We had 25 participants for the month of November!
Let's give a round of applause for Jafits Skrumm, our November Scimitar winner!
Here are the Top 10 scorers so far. There is one month left to move up the bracket and you can still steal any of those spots away.
If you’re curious where your CON and PCON fall, well here you go… Revak - 1694 and Turel - 1143!
Every month we count all of your Crescents, Clusters, PoBs, Competitions, events run, ACC matches completed, scrolls and SA activity then calculate the point values using our handy Scimitar of Hoth Point Rules sheet. With something that I can only assume was spawned from pure Dark Side energy, we are able to track all of your scores and maintain a running total of your points through the year. Every January, after we tally up the December results, we then present the member with the highest point total, the Scimitar of Lord Hoth! So the only thing you need to do is just the normal stuff on the site you’d normally do and we’ll take care of the rest. It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience.
As always, you can view the Current Scimitar Standings anytime day or night, on our Clan Holocron!
We’d like to give a shout out to the Odanites who dominated last month in the following categories...
Crescent Harvesters
Rulers of Fire and Earth:
Artisans of Graphite:
Council of Scribes:
Praxeum Prodigies:
For all the time, effort, and occasional blood you spill to contribute to this Clan, we are forever grateful.
A returning face you’ll see walking the halls of the Praxeum...
These Odanites have taken their next step into a larger world...

Pappius Asks: “Got any interesting plans for the upcoming year?”
Revak: “Hmm... right now on the books we'll be continuing our Clan storyline, playing with the expansion of the Roleplay and possibly sprinkle in a House feud... if our houses think they have what it takes :p”
Aura Asks: “What kind of sushi will we get if we win?” and “Any competitions you are really looking forward to this month?”
Revak: “Winner gets whatever sushi they want. Those SWTOR ones look pretty interesting”
Elyon Asks: “If you had to bet on winning one of the houses, what would it be??”
Revak: “It’s really close. Guess we'll have to see who gets bragging rights.”
If you’ve made it this far, I’d like to thank you for reading this report as well as congratulate our Illuminous: Intercepted event winners and welcome our new Summit members. We look forward to hanging out with all of you during the Life Day event. If you ever have any questions or would like to tell us how crappy we are as people, feel free to contact Turel or myself. Until next time, may the Force guide you.
