Greetings Clan! We’re in the middle of the summer, but this past month has actually been very busy, both for Plagueis and the Brotherhood as a whole. Without further ado, let’s jump right in!
The epic conclusion of the Restoration event series started yesterday. Help Plagueis regain our military assets and prove which House is superior. The link to the parent competition which includes the individual events, backstory, and fiction updates can be found here.
Restoration: Ascendant will have more events than Broken and Building combined. Taking place over 4 weeks, with two sets of 5 individual competitions and a Battle Plan event running the duration, we’re pulling out all the stops here. There’s plenty of opportunities for crescents, and like previous sections, we’re incorporating the overall winners into official fiction plot updates. Not only that, but we’re looking to segue this neatly into our next big thing whoops. I probably said too much already. Do the things. Read the fiction, have fun.
Over the past month, we were fortunate enough to be able to bestow onto two members the highest honor that can be given to a member of Clan Plagueis. Selika Roh di Plagia, and Teylas Ramar di Plagia join Kz’set, Aabs, Tra’an, Bubba, and myself. They’ve both been in leadership nonstop for over two years now. Both Teylas and Selika consistently bring their A-game when vendettas come around. If you want something done, and done right, these are the guys to ask. They’re not only leaders, but leaders by example, and great models for how to be successful in Plagueis.
We recently announced and would like to congratulate (again) Jai'de Serpens on ascending into the position of rollmaster of Clan Plagueis. After an open application period we fielded quite a few applicants before choosing Jai'de. In the end it came down to her impressive work in her time as BTL by reaching out to the journeymen, engaging them in their desired activity pursuits, pulling people back from the brink of AWOL, and being an overall proactive member of Plagueis and the summit.
As he leaves, we also thank Dralin for all his awesome dedication and service as rollmaster of Plagueis these past few months. He's done an amazing job, I know I can't thank him enough, and we hope that he's able to some day crawl out of that horrible thing known as "real life" to come back 100%.
As a result, her position as battleteam leader of Disciples of Dreypa was vacated, and Jai'de recently announced on the e-mail group that taking her place would be Onwai Starborne. Onwai is new to the DJB, but brings to us a wealth of experience from previous groups. Moreover, he has shown a great drive to be active and involved.
These appointments have once again filled the Plagueis summit.
Recently Grand Master Pravus made an announcement regarding the Telegram chat service. If you aren't aware, Telegram is a chat service that's available on both phones and desktops which allows you to chat with people via a username which makes it more appealing than programs like What'sApp, for privacy reasons, which require(d) your phone number. Plagueis uses Telegram (if you're interested in an invite to our channel e-mail either Viv or Teylas) mostly as just day to day banter of everyone complaining about their jobs (it's what we do!).
However, that being said, the entire summit of Plagueis would like to echo what our GM has said: don't let things get out of hand. You know the limit. You know the line. Don't cross it. Plagueis members have been historically very good at avoiding these kinds of issues. We would like to keep it that way. Issues of this kind can have serious negative consequences for the DJB as a whole.
It was announced a while ago that Socorra, our Herald, would be stepping down. Socks has overseen a great time in the Herald's office which has been putting out quality work, in a timely manner, with great results under her administration. In her recent report you can see examples of some of the great graphics that has been produced from the Herald's office.
Also, as a result, the GM and DGM are still accepting applications for Herald through tomorrow. If it's something that interests you, apply!
Evant laid out in his latest report some good info for those of you who care about the fictional direcion of the DJB. He included updates about Clusters of Ice and how you can get them, clarified some confusion about lightsaber forms and rank requirements that stemmed from out-of-date wiki information, as well as a bit about Character Sheets and custom aspects.
Additionally, the Fiction Society (think GMRG for us writers), has been planned out and is just waiting for James to work his Senechal magic. There are teams of people involved in DJB plot updates between now and the next big Brotherhood event around the release of Ep 7, and a group of members hard at work making updates to the Character Sheet system.
Evant also opened up applications, albeit a lot less formally, for additional members of his staff. Rather than looking for a dedicated Magistrate or Praetor, it looks like the Voice office is going to be very project driven, and I think this is a good thing. It means there’s going to be plenty of work for a lot of people, if they’re interested in it. If you’re interested in working on projects for the Voice Office, send Evant an application and make sure to highlight any sort of fictional, wiki, character creation, ACC, Run-on, etc. experience that you have, so he can match the work up with who is best fit for the particular job.
Mav laid out some more details about the paths system coming out for the Dark Jedi Brotherhood in a report a couple weeks ago. We've gotten a couple questions about this. Over two years ago Plagueis was given a directive by then GM Muz that, at the end of Horizons, we would lose our base of operations, the Jusadih star system, and need a new canon. As a result, then consul Tra'an Reith and a bunch of other people got together, sat down, and created a new canon for Plagueis. Since then the direction has always been the same as originally instructed by Muz: be Sith, be evil, and be great at it. We call the Anchorage our home now, but we're decidedly evil. We have slaves, we command great armies, and we control vast financial empires through shadow corporations that bend to our will out of fear.
Plagueis is the dark side. That is the path we will be taking as a whole. However, this isn't for people to fret that are already in Plagueis thinking, "Man, I kind of always played my character so that he wasn't really evil, but just did what it took to get by." That's fine. Not everyone is going to fit into that mold initially, or maybe ever, completely. But remember that there are also levels of dark side. Not everyone is "The Big Evil". There's also Lawful Evil, where our proconsul Teylas sits. Or the ambigious Neutral Evil, where most of our membership sits.
We'd like to congratulate the following people on recent promotions:
Our wonderful Headmaster, Plagueis alum, and honor di Plagia, Dacien announced in a recent Headmaster report that, among other updates, the Shadow Academy society ranks would be changing. Here are the changes:
Our very own Quaestor of Ajunta Pall, Selika, was recently appointed as the Wiki Tribune for the DJB, and he’s gone straight to work. His latest report outlines new wiki staff, policy changes, and a wiki tip!
Did I say this was a pretty busy month? This was a pretty busy month. Given the conclusion of Restoration, and additional DJB-wide projects looking close to launch, we’re in store for some fun times ahead. Keep up the great work Plagueis.

Good report guys, what you lack in a good title is more than made up for by a sea of information!
So does this mean I can make my character more evil-er?
You've already got the goatee, I think you've maxed out in the evil end, Callus.
Damn, does that mean I need a goatee to max out my eviltude?
Hmmm, that could work.
No Selika you just need to keep that mallet of yours to be as evil as possible.
