Hello and welcome, friends new and old. This first report will be light on the administrative side, but heavy on the personal. I have been given the opportunity of following in Aabs' sizable shoes as Consul of Clan Plagueis, and I'm very excited to be a part of Plagueis moving forward. I'm sure you're all waiting with baited breath to hear what I've got planned for the Ascendant Clan, so without further ado, let's start with this:

My Pledge to You

Fundamentally, I believe that leadership within the DB should be an honor and a service. I promise that my prime concern when it comes to any and all action I take as Consul will be the happiness and well-being of the members in my unit. When I joined the DB, I did so because I thought "this seems fun." I'd be surprised if just about every one of you didn't have similar thoughts. As Consul, the primary job I have is to cultivate that sense of enjoyment for you. If you're not having fun, I'm probably doing something wrong.

Your opinion and feelings are important to me, whether you joined the Clan a few weeks ago or if you've been here for 10 years and are a former Consul. I'm doing this because I want you guys to have fun. I intend to be as visible and accessible as possible to every member of Plagueis as I can be.

Plagueis, a Clan and a Community

If I have one request for you, as Clanmates, it would be to spend time and get to know your fellow members. Not for my sake, but for yours and for theirs. I think you'll find that they're pretty neat people. During my time in the DB, I've met some really interesting people and made a few great friends. I believe that the general sense of camaraderie within the Clan and our performance as a unit are part of a positive feedback loop. Every friend that a member has within Plagueis is another reason that they have to continue to be active, to participate, and to help the Clan succeed. Our friendship will allow us to bolster each other when times are tough and provide motivation for each other when things are difficult. Plagueis is not Plagueis with out you. Plagueis is nothing without any of you. Help me ensure that the time we spend together is valuable.

The best action I ever made in the DB was when I downloaded an IRC client and jumped into #Plagueis for the first time. I understand that for some of you, internet connection is an issue, as are hours, but for those of you who can, it's a great tool and right now, one Plagueis is not utilizing well. I'm on IRC daily. Jump on and let's talk.

Where do we go from here?

A change in leadership is always an exciting time for a Clan. You guys have accomplished some pretty awesome things in the last couple of years. However, in the recent past we did lose a lot of that momentum. The recent House Feud was a good start. Expect more from the Summit and myself to ramp activity up again.

The GJW XI is slated before the end of the year. That's the next big thing for us. After that? Fictionally, the galaxy is our oyster. I really want to emphasize the evil (or at the very least, amoral) nature that you'd expect from a group of Dark Jedi trying to pull strings from behind the scenes. In the coming months, we'll really be working to flesh out or Clan's storyline, both on our own, and how it relates to other units. I've already begun discussions with some other leaders in this regard. We've got some really neat fictional opportunities in front of us.

More than anything, this time isn't mine. It's yours. I may be the conductor of the train, but you are the engine. We can't get anywhere without you. I believe in Plagueis. I believe in her members. I believe in you.
