Introduction

Hello there, fellow Plagueians. It is time for your regularly scheduled Proconsul Report looking back at the month that was October 2020. We have enjoyed 3 weeks of the Scourge event and there’ll be more than that later. Of course, there are also some upcoming festive occasions, so stay safe and enjoy those responsibly. We’ll also be highlighting competitions for the here and now as well as diving into the news the rest of the club has come up with. This month will be a little lighter compared to the hectic month that was September, but just as valuable.

Scourge

Our fearless Dread Lord has taken on the responsibility of providing an event that moves along the clan’s narrative in a direction that one might say was sudden and inevitable. In actuality it wasn’t, there was plenty of talking and planning behind it but I had to get that reference in there somewhere. Scourge is just the first chapter of this, the arc itself being called Inevitable(See what we did there? Do ya?) and there’s been plenty of fiction to go along with it. Scourge was initially slated to end on the 26th, but the Dread Lord has granted a week extension, giving us a new end date of November the 2nd.

As with all events, we understand that RL comes first and that there are a variety of reasons people may be busy. It is with this in mind that the extension was granted. I know I plan to do some extra work on my fiction and see if I can squeeze in another entry or two. Of particular note are the Audio and Cluster Race competitions, although there’s something for everyone offered in this event. I hope to see many entries when I go over the numbers in my typical post-event number gathering mission.
